They are both some of the best guitarists Japan has to offer amongst some other names. But man I've been a fan of theres since 2002. They influenced me in so many ways. I absolutely love their unique tone and sound I especially love their fashion taste.
Singing lessons from Kyo would be insanely interesting. None of us would be able to do it, but itd be interesting to know how he pulls off some of his techniques. Maybe they're just special Kyo secrets

@rayrayisgod Pretty much a 7 string that’s got the EMGs in them. As far as price, you’re gonna have to look into spending a lot. But the average LTD Viper-407 is about $650 or so. If you want Die’s sound, you gotta put in a Seymour Duncan distortion model in the bridge and a 59 model in the neck.
Because they are playing with Marshall amps thruugh Marshall cabinets with EMG pickups so... as a result, sound is pretty brittle. Would be nice if they played through Diezel amps of course. Die's tone is a little bit more compensated thanks to those Seymour Duncan pickups.
@Evaninja17 Live and on the albums, they have great tone, so I'm sure this was just a one-off demo they did. And personally, I love Mesa and Orange rigs. :]
I love Dir en grey to death but their tone is pretty bad in this video. That's why I usually hate these demo videos because they only use the gear that's provided for them and usually... it's pretty subpar.

in most of their newer songs they use ADADGBE, and on ther 6 string songs mostly Drop C# (Drop Db). They have a few songs with other tunings

Die uses a Dual Rectifier Roadster and Kaoru uses a Diezel VH4.
They’re using DSLs instead of JVMs, which would be much thicker sounding for this kind of genre. Not all Marshall amps sound that brittle.
Couldn't he have used his treble knob or the amp eq to roll off some of the treble?

yeah for along time, they still use 6's too, it depends on the song, the last 2 albums were mostly 7's if im not mistaking
It used to be mostly Drop D and Drop C#, now they use Drop C on six and Drop A on seven.
Yeah you're right, i though half step down implies sharp which is what I meant.

音作りの違いから錯覚するのかもしれないが、特にＥＸ－１で同じ音なのに薫の方がダイちゃんより音の粒がそろってない気がする・・・というか、スローで弾いてる時にしっかり７弦目を抑えれていない（特に小指）感じが・・・
