    Great panel. God bless John MacArthur - he is so blessed by the Lord with truth and discernment, and a much-needed voice in the world today which is so full of sin and error. Any panel he is on is worth watching in my view. Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God - have mercy on us all...

    Thanks to the Lord I can understand his meanings when he speaks. His words are not words I use but I understand their meaning most of the time. I put what he speaks of that is before and after a word I don't use myself and it comes together. We learnt to do this is children in school.
    This man has a Godly mind and expressed himself to the full understanding.
    I thank you R.C. Your Seminars have covered areas that has taken me into the realm of understanding I never thought I would experience. You have opened up a deeper gate (you might say) in my realization of God and Jesus Christ and I can honestly share I know them better than I had before I got on board with your ministry. Your message got through. Hanks be to God.
    From my heart and in the perfect love of Jesus, God and the Holy Spirt, I thank you.

    In 2014 John MacArthur said it was a sin to bake a cake for a homosexual wedding. In 2017, after John MacArthur allowed Gray's Academy to film on the grounds of Grace University, and had a Capitol One commercial filmed in their coffeeshop........." it's not a sin." No one on this Q&A pushed back.

      Indian culture? What are you talking about? I'm talking about the Bible. The Scriptures have been in existence long before the creation of the world and all that dwells in it. Don't compare Indian culture with the Bible, your culture like all cultures, is wicked and vile to the highest degree. As believers we discuss the Bible not cultures. Everything passes away except for the word of God. And yes God's wisdom trumps mans's wisdom, of which Ravi relies on heavily. That's why he denies God's creation of man in Genesis and supports women preachers. John MacArthur will put him to shame! Don't lower John to the statues of Ravi. It's inconsiderate.

    MacArthur did say it was sinful to participate in the celebration of a sin such as a gay wedding. I am not sure why he is now saying baking a cake for a gay wedding is NOT sinful. Please explain!!

    • @pocahontasreese1423
      @pocahontasreese1423 7 років тому +3

      Larry, what he is saying is the everyone has to eat. God does not shine the sun only on the righteous, the lost benefits from God's goodness too. When you go to a restaurant, they feed the good and the bad people. So he is saying that it is not a sin to bake a cake for a homosexual. However, it is wrong for the government to make the baker do something that offends his conscience. I agree.

    • @larryg7109
      @larryg7109 7 років тому

      John said prior to this on another feed that it is a sin to participate in the celebration of a gay wedding. Here he was asked if it was a sin to provide services for a gay wedding ( not provide normal services to gays but specifically a gay wedding) and he said NO! That seems like a contradiction to me!! Perhaps I misunderstood him.

    • @pocahontasreese1423
      @pocahontasreese1423 7 років тому +7

      Larry, in the eyes of God there is only male and female so he does not recognize homosexuality. Therefore, it would be a sin for a minister to marry a same-sex couple, it would be a sin to be in the wedding as maids or groomsmen. I know a heterosexual couple that married but they had men walk down the aisle together as a couple, homosexuals, and I think this was very sinful...not a good statement to the public. When you go to a restaurant no one asks if you are homosexual and even if you told them they would still serve you. The sun shines on the good and the bad. Bakery Owner stated that he would give them any cake in the story but he would not create a special cake for the celebration because it offends his conscience. There is a big difference. John stated that it is wrong for the government to force the owner to go against his conscience but not a sin for the owner to sell the man a cake that is already on the menu.

    • @HelloWorld1947
      @HelloWorld1947 7 років тому +4

      He said, if your BUSINESS is to bake cakes then it's not a SIN to SELL that cake. Just like if you owned a tuxedo store, and two men came to purchase tuxedo's are you going to refuse to sell it to them? In addition, he said it's a conscious matter if your conscious is telling you don't sell, the don't violate your conscious. And i agree with him. A friend of mine has a flower shop, two lesbians came purchased the flower, she checked them out and they left. Are you going to be so petty and cross your arms on your chest and say, "i'm not checking you out." Even the baker that is being sued has a said, he sells cake to gay couples all the time! He just didn't want to make a CUSTOM cake. But, they are free to buy off the rack. A guy who bakes generic cakes at Costco is not in sin if gays buy a cake from Costco. Many Christians own Airbnb and yet rent out bedrooms to fornicating couples. Have Christians become respecter of persons?

      You proved his point or did God write "wright" when it should be "right", So are you saying that everything that is wrong if God and everything right is man? If it is you are, you need to look into the mirror of Romans 1:24-25 "Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25 because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen."

    The first speaker was great, however, should our political views not be moulded and shaped by what God states in His Word? For example a Christian man may have social and political "hang-ups", but should that man not read the Word in order to see and reflect what God feels about those issues? Afterall its not about us it is all about Him and Him in us.

      Oh then you must be Jewish and you're still living under the old Covenant. Why don't you come over to the new Covenant because Christ fulfilled the old Covenant ,roll it up like an old scroll he said this is a new covenant sealed in my blood. The apostles who started the first church on the first day of the week, the Resurrection Day. And your judgment doesn't count because Paul said let no one judge you according to a holy day or Sabbath day.

    Its good to read the Present with Religion, a book for free on the internet.The book is about the truth of life and it shows the full picture of life for the first time so that you may stop being deceived by the world and be able to follow the steps of Jesus and other prophets to Heaven.Knowing the truth is the key factor in our salvation.We must know the truth and live in it and change ourselves according to it in order to be saved.There is no other way to our salvation.With the knowledge of the truth there comes true repentance which means changing our minds and also true obediance to God' s law and finally our sanctification which is a lifelong process.And God in His mercy will give us His wonderful grace which is the time and ability to make the proper change.Only in this way will we be able to attain our eternal salvation.Our task is to find this narrow gate that leads to God and do it quickly and stay on it till the end no matter what.Then and only then we will be saved.There is nothing more important or serious to do in this fallen world as our eternal fate depends on it.

  • @tstjohn777
    @tstjohn777 5 років тому

    No one can give me a a passage that says anything about church membership.
    There are localities of the body of Christ but the Church is Christ.
    1 Cor 1 To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:
    Then paul states;
    For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe’s household, that there are contentions among you. Now I say this, that each of you says, “I am of Paul,” or “I am of Apollos,” or “I am of Cephas,” or “I am of Christ.” Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?
    So who has authority in each locality to claim they are the Church?
    I'm not saying we should not find a body of believers and commit to them. What I am saying is I don't join a Church. We all are member individually and corporately the Church and Christ is the head.
    Perhaps someone can show me in scripture where it teaches Church membership because in 43 years of studying the Word of God I can't find one.

    • @donsimonds5186
      @donsimonds5186 5 років тому

      To;T Saint , speaking about joining a church, read Hebrews chapter 10 and verse 23, 24, and 25. It talks about not forsaking the Gathering of yourselves together. The scripture say wherever two or three are gathered Jesus said there I am in the midst of them. That would constitute the church. All of scripture backs that up. Paul said that it was reported to him from those of the household of Chlo'-e. That was probably the local church there they were meeting in households. In Hebrews chapter 10 verse 24 it says consider one another to provoke unto love and good works. that's what the church is for , to minister to one another how can you do that if you don't join if you don't join your not committed that means every time someone does something you don't like you move to a different Church and then you move to another one when you get offended there that is not God's way joining a church is just Committing yourself to work out and walk out your salvation with your brothers and sisters.

    • @donsimonds5186
      @donsimonds5186 5 років тому +2

      So, in 43 years you've never joined a church, you've never become a committed person to the body of Christ, I would say you have really missed out in the last 43 years , it's about time you understood it correctly and committed yourself to Christ and his body , the church.

    @4:00: In the name of "truth"... WOW...this is VERY disappointing! John MacArthur must address his TOTAL contradiction in his statement at this conference to his clear statement on his GTY video using the exact same example! There is NO way to justify this.
    Word for word from a man who is SO focused on truth and The Word and quick to call out other pastors;
    Grace to You video:
    "When it comes to providing a service which is part of the celebration of that sin, I think that is where you draw the line. That word celebration may help you. You can say, "I don't mind selling cake to people who walk in off the street, but when you ask me to bake a cake specfically to celebrate a homosexual marriage, now you have pushed me into contributing to the celebration, you pushed me into affirming an event that I cannot confirm." I think that is where you have to draw the line. [by saying, "draw the line" this means, NO, I cannot participate because it is wrong and thus a sin! A gay marriage is an event, a celebration, and being asked to bake a cake participating in that very event over someone buying an already baked item like a loaf of bread (or cake) where there was no premeditated awareness of the gay marriage]
    This conference:
    "No, it's not sinful for a cake maker to make a cake for a gay wedding anymore than its sinful for a guy who runs a restaurant to serve dinner to somebody who is gay, sits in a booth and eats the food, or goes to the market and buys a loaf of bread and you own the market." "What the issue is, is not whether that's sinful. It's whether the federal government can demand that people do certain things, which goes against their Christian conscience."
    [a cake maker who makes a cake for a gay wedding IS partaking in the celebration knowing well and good what this cake is for, a gay marriage, and will get paid for that service. This is premeditated!]
    Talk about speaking out of both sides of your mouth! I am not throwing the baby out with the bathwater here, but this was also in context of Eugene Petterson saying he would perform a gay marriage as a pastor and then changed his mind the next day when called out. MacArthur has used this against Petterson (as he is quick to do with others) when discussing The Message Bible as an inferior translation. There is no way to justify this, MacArthur needs to repent of this contradiction and humble himself the way he has called out SO MANY for similar issues!

      I think there is a major difference between baking a cake and attending a marriage. If every God-fearing baker or restaurant owner decided in their heart not to make cakes for ”sinners” in this case; homosexuals, then they'd be out of business! This is usually the case if one feels he's going against his conscience. One is not necessarily supporting the person's lifestyle as one would as if you would attend a homosexual union in marriage. In this case, one should not attend the ceremony because one's attendance shows support and agreement of the union. In a marriage between two people, there is a portion of the script that says: “speak now, or forever hold your peace” this comes from the Christian wedding ceremony. “Speak now, or forever hold your peace,” means that this moment is your last chance to voice any objections. In this case, as a Christian, one should stand up and say that the deed that is about to be committed is sinful, and wicked in the sight of Holy God, and therefore should not be recognized as legitimate! Originally the script was put in place as part of the practice of wedding bans, a series of announcements originally intended to prevent bigamy.in this case, however, to show your disagreement of the union between homosexuals.

    Justified by grace through faith in jesus's atonement. Salvation is a free gift and one must fully trust that all are sinners and god loves us so much that he gave his only son to take the hell/punishment for our sins on the cross.
    Whoever believes and confess will receive forgiveness for all sins past future present and will receive eternal life .
    One must truly trust in the sacrifice and forgiveness of jesus.
    May not work on the first try but keep on praying.
    Prayer: father god I am a sinner
    I believe jesus died for my sins so I can be forgiven because he took our punishment.
    May you please forgive me for all my sins and may you help me to believe I'm saved by grace through faith in your promise of salvation.
    Lord jesus may you give me eternal life.
    Thank you in jesus name amen.
    Please read Roman's and galatians.
    Please watch inspiring philosophy:faith vs works.

    But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
    Boasting Excluded
    27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith. 28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law. 29 Or is He the God of the Jews only? Is He not also the God of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also, 30 since there is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith. 31 Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.

    Listen i really love John MacArthur a lot. My only objection to him is his political views and his constant rhetoric about Jesus not solving societal issues. He's missing the point entirely. Jesus came to die, that's why he came to earth in the first place. So of course he didn't come to solve social issues. When Jesus comes the second time around he will defiantly solve societal issues (sin) for sure!
    John, also implies that Jesus or the disciples never objected to slavery. Yes, they did. In fact Paul even said, "Were you called while a slave? Do not worry about it; *but if you are able also to become free, rather do that* " This is my only frustration with MacArthur. Thankfully though he doesn't talk about politics. Thank God for that.

      Probably best to email him straight for more clarity on that matter. I've heard some things he's said before and thought it didn't sound right until he went into more depth on it on another video.

      I'm not to fond of Renee Roland but I'd personally recommend Susan Heck for a female guide in biblical discussion. God bless

      I see you have some pretty screwed-up advice from these other people. I will tell you straight you're absolutely incorrect. There are great men of God theologians who have been studying God's word their whole life. Women are not to be teachers of the word for a specific reason which most women cannot understand because of their pride end emotion which is the reason. They can never get rid of that. I'm a father of three daughters 69 years old been married for 42 years. The other thing is that John MacArthur John Burnett RC scroll and countless other Godly men teach the same way about the subject so who are you to go against these men. Old prideful one you are. Maybe you ought to be looking at yourself and why your mind can't see the truth. Why your beliefs and emotions overcome God's word. Be very careful because you are treading on the word of God here. The Bible says what it says and you are misinterpreting it. And Satan is the author of that. Believe what you want yet you better remember that those who believe incorrectly end up in Eternal damnation. That's what the Bible preaches. Scripture doesn't preach that you believe most of it or some of it or some different ways of it. God tells us it's 100% or nothing. You're not on 100%! Save your soul repent search for the truth. And abandon your personal belief system that will lead you into damnation. Every tick that Satan can get you to doubt about the Bible is a tick closer to him

    Church is where two or more are gathered, it is not an institution. It does not require a denominational backing to be a church. It is arrogance, to say we need a state licensed person to be a pastor or leader.

    just one question for Mr MacArthur and his ilk, I'd like to humbly pass along from Paul: "did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" Acts 19:1-6

      I will pass that back to you , did you receive the Holy Spirit? If not you're none of his. Oh yeah this is one place where that scripture that Everyone likes to use to shield themselves , Here it can actually be legitimately used. It goes like this, who made you a judge another man's servant?
