It's so obvious that George was so in control of everything like an old pro. It's hard to imagine that the girls said that Andy was the leader & George was the timid one. Well, It's hard to believe that one when you just listen to George. Even from the real early days, ( before China ) George really did all of the answerings to questions by hosts & sure had It together. I have to say, how can any one man be so Beautiful? OMG! I could listen to George talk forever, always so kind, honest, and deliberate in his answers, yet so humble. GEORGE IS & ALWAYS WILL BE MY LITTLE PIECE OF HEAVEN! 🕯😇🎶🌤💖
Well they said that George was timid because he was, he has said it himself. He left the image to Andrew on purpose because it wasn’t natural for George.

I think George may have thought he was timid, but he was the one who had the looks ,talent, and stage presence, he never bragged about himself , he didn’t need Andrew or anyone else he had it all , God love him 💖

The Tube interview, complete with the Channel 4 opening introducing the programme in acceptable quality not that long ago, I assume you already have the entire interview in your archives (probably in much better quality than what is available currently) but just letting you know it’s out there in case you didn’t already. 👍
@@wham No problem, I just so happened to find it after searching up ‘Wham: The Final Interview’ into UA-cam and sorting it by upload date. I think that it is a good method for finding obscure and rare videos that may not be recommended by UA-cam.

You can see that George himself was not very satisfied with the personnel arrangements at that time. In the 80's China was just reforming and opening up, people were not very rich but they were smiling and happy to contact new things, if you have the chance, I really hope you will come back to visit China(but it's too late to say that), everything here has changed dramatically. I was impressed by your youthful energy in that concert and have been to the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Canton where you have been. Your concert inspired a lot of young musicians in China at that time, and even the audience who saw your concert still remembers the scene.
The entire enterprise was for Wham! to become known to the American market - that was the reason for the trip to China, they have said so. Andrew could rarely get a word in edge-wise, I did feel a bit badly for him but, really it was so apparent by this point (and much earlier) that George was the talent behind the group and - obviously - the brains as well as to strategies in promoting their music. He was incredibly smart, savvy, talented and aware. Yes, Andrew pushed to start the group but music ran through GM's veins - it was wonderful they remained life long friends. Someone other than Andrew may not have handled this whole situation with such grace and George made sure that Andrew was on as co-writer to certain tunes so that Andrew would always have royalties coming in. They were night and day but grew up together so there was a strong bond and somehow managed what would have been a very difficult situation with another duo or group when one becomes so dominant. Wham would have died without GM - that is the reality, not the other way around.
