28:02 I think Poland actually saw the only way for Starflash to Interrupt that cap was with a power, because he then immediately pulled EVERYTHING back to prevent Starflash from being able to get it. The Lack of attacks was actually the plan all along, which is a truly genius move. Knowing when NOT to be aggro is just as important as knowing when to go full aggro, something this match showcases quite well. Phenomenal match. (The Interrupt in question: With Sideslip, the 9 HP Tank just below the HQ can reach the city for an interrupt, giving him enough time to get the rest of his forces there to stop the cap completely.)
Seeing a Deejus notification when I'm at work always gives me something to look forward to! Thanks for all the extra content during this tiring December :)
I know the purpose of time limits is to allow games to be finished in one sitting and to force quick thinking in players, but I really wish that players received 2:30 per turn instead of 2:00. I felt so bad when StarFlash missed his turn. It was a great match until then. Regardless, thank you for the upload.
23:20 small misplay by po1and, should have put the infantry behind the comtower instead of staying on it, forces a unit to attack on the com tower or he can interrupt the cap by attacking it.
If the enemy parks an infantry or AA next to your city in range of your wounded tank and said city is out of range of any artillery, I think that's a great time to send the tank off to repairs. Outside of fog, that's just not going to happen. I guess the reason we don't see them repair units is that the opponent won't place his units in such a way that the optimal place for the turn player's wounded units would be on a city.
I never thought to see anyone outspeed the flash, but i assume po1ands low unit count playstyle saves a lot of time. I'm too lazy to calculate, but from eyeballing it looks like po1and is similarily low on time, so i assume starflashs time per unit is slightly faster, but he has to move more of them
There's a lot of repairing in this video about people not repairing units! Not even just the passive repairing of being on cities, but also both players finding opportunities to actively repair things. Great game though.
23:40 poland could have moved his inf one space up. Wouldnt make that waste Starflash one more turn to take back the com tower? he either has to kill the 6hp inf while standing on the tower or get 2 hp dmg from the 6hp inf attacking from the shoal
Po1and letting a cap happen is as likely as Deej eating subway
nailed it

This is probably my biggest advance war issue. I love repairing units
Same 🥲
I usually keep them around the front to block and finish off weak units, is only when I play Andy and when I retreat when I repair them.
i wish the logistics side of aw had more depth and relevance
maybe we should just main andy 😐
yeah definitely a finicky thing.
Starflash vs Poland is always very fun to watch! I don't think I've seen either player ever on increment before now lol
Poland was low on time during the grandmaster tournament earlier this month. Possibly because he was thrown into the fray without any preparation. :P
Man that Po1and AA at 18:00 was super lucky, dodged the tank threat for like three turns and just got free reign.
Repairing units is necessary for an S-rank in campaign mode, so I conditioned myself to repair units as often as possible.
Great match! Super entertaining. Happy Holiday’s Deej!
17:33 Mangs infantry might not be so bad if Poland is doing it.
Deejus' emphasis on contested properties has influenced my playstyle a lot
Hey it's my favorite bonobro.
I remember seeing this replay awhile ago. I'm glad to see you covering this Deej!
12:57 StarFlash starts to repair his damaged tank
Seems to me these guys _do_ repair damaged units.
0:48 man doesn't even need to see the units, he will mix them up regardless 😂
I genuinely did a spit take when I heard SF ran out of time
Sunday === Deej Day
Make it a holiday imo

Great commentary and game!

The moment anyone don't repair a 1 hp infantry, they are already a "Pro" at Advanced Wars. "A Tactical Genius".

For the theme of the video being about "not repairing units", I will say Poland got a lot of mileage out of repairing units with his bboat.
DeJesus, we eatin good with this replay tonight
Man that was a brawl from start to finish.
Actually running out of time too insane, that was a huge swing.

Losing not only on moving the remaining units but also on building new ones really hurt him.
damn what a game. bloody brawling everywhere.
To quote Patrick Star: "StarFlash250? Po1and? Who are you people!?!"
The most aggressive match I have seen all year
Starflash vs Poland never disappoints. Those players just love to eat.
GG. Great game. Great cast.

an excellent display
13:00 This pro player healed a unit
wake up honey, deejs uploaded new video!
Bro dropped that rocket.

Maximum entertainment match!

Holaaa Dejuuuusss!!!!
I have a map in GL and like 10 in LL but still no deej vid feat a Dr nasty map
So is repairing units bad for preserving unit count?
Oh yeah. This game is good, if it is the one I watched live.
Po1 and Starflash standard Adder ditto? Say less. I'm just going to like the video in advance.
Po1and = Madara.
