Yes this is all we do. We make these videos to show how easy our custom harnessing can be. We can help upgrade your vehicle with all OEM equipment while ensureing the install does not involve cutting or splicing wires and is extremely easy to do yourself.
I'm amazed that you still answer on a 6 year old video. This was incredibly informative. I currently have Bluetooth in my 2014 Dodge Journey, so I don't need to worry about that I hope, but I am curious if there are more up to date or modern screen options for my car? I'm looking to upgrade my screen and temp controls / etc. If not factory, even non-factory is fine with me. We are long past warranty. I would appreciate any advice you can offer :)
I wish we did. Unfortuntely it seems as if Mopar gave up on the Journey as they never produced a newer unit for those vehicles after this RB5 RE2 generation. If they develop another radio there is a good chance we can work out a retrofit but until that point our options for the Journey are quite limited.
I did this upgrade about 11 years ago and the climate control has been a sore spot. I lost rear controls, (on the screen) and temp can only be controlled from bottom buttons. Would the programmer that’s available require I change any additional parts? How would it know inside temp and stuff?

Our programmer is used to access the BCM and add the ACC code to the vehicle. If you have access to Alpha OBD or a similar service then you may be able to program this yourself.

That's correct. For the 2011-2020 Dodge Journey, the radio is actually the CD player unit. So to get navigation or to go to a bigger screen, the CD player must be changed out.
Here is our solution for this. We use the OEM equipment and it is pre-programmed so this should be plug and play and it will retain all of your current features. infotainment.com/shop/interior-accessories/infotainment-radio-upgrades/2011-2020-dodge-journey-gps-navigation-rb5-8-4n-radio/

The Journey was never given CarPlay and Android Auto. If FCA ever decide to make a Apple CarPlay and Android Auto system for the Journey we will start work on a retrofit but until then there is not much we can do unfortunately
These units are pre-programmed to function with your vehicle’s existing UConnect® Bluetooth hands-free calling feature. Unfortunately upgrading to Bluetooth hands-free calling is no longer an option through Mopar.

Hi, I have a 2014 Journey with the 8.4” screen and the NAV Feature doesn’t work, the dealer said I would need to get a new radio … any suggestions to get this GPS working? Thank you
We do offer a repair service for this unit. However, if you're experiencing the "Can't Unlock Maps" error message, that will still persist post repair, but you will have the detailed maps data. That message kind of turns into an "accept screen" once per drive cycle after repair. infotainment.com/shop/services/repair-service/repair-service-fca-uconnect-re2-or-rb5-telematics-gateway-module-radio-4/ Alternatively, you'd be replacing the radio unit which is the CD player box to this system.
Ah that's unfortunate. I would recommend getting a replacement head unit with a more up to date part number that's still supported, such as 2016-2020 (This would be a unit likely from a Dodge Journey, as the Chrysler 300 last used this radio in 2014 models)
I've got a 2018 Journey Crossroad with the 8 inch screen (without navigation). I recently broke the screen, so i ordered another used one off of ebay. Little did i realize it was the version WITH navigation. Is this gonna cause any issues when i install it? Also, I had seen a few videos talking about programming the unit using the serial numbers on the radio, and having to call the dealership for more codes. Is this correct? Would i be better off just taking it to the dearship and having them install it?
Dealership may not want to touch it as they tend to not be very helpful with this type of replacement but it is worth a shot. Programming for FCA is more after the install when the radio communicates with the BCM during the acclimation period. It should not cause significant issues other then the Nav not working unless you have the OEM XM antenna which is a dual GPS/XM antenna.
We pre-program the radio to your Vin and provide a radio unlock code if needed. The piece will arrive plug and play and that is backed by our warranty.
your video title says 2011-2020 dodge journey, but in your video you say it is compatible with 2011-2018. I have a Dodge Journey 2020, would this work for my vehicle?
Yes this will work. This video is much older then the listing itself. Mopar never updated the radio systems for the Journey until its discontinuance in 2020. This kit is full compatible with 2020 Journey's.

Is there a difference between a 2012 uconnect and a 2017 uconnect? the one i have is kinda bad when it comes to quality and when i have my phone plugged into the usb port, it doesnt show what songs are playing or anything like that.
There was a slight change in the 2013-2014 models that continued to 2020 (despite part number changes each year), but it was negligible. Essentially the GARMIN mapping interface changed a bit, such as the icons in the menu had changed visually, but operated the same and were named the same. This radio system did not have Uconnect online services for over the air updates, so if the dealership or yourself have not updated the software, then the software could be really out of date and might result in the radio not seeing track data. You can try checking www.driveuconnect.com click Support, and then Software Updates. Then punch your VIN in the search bar and see if there's any available for you to download.

Is there a Maps update or a way to switch this over to Canadian roads
Unfortunately we only have US map data on these at this time. Sorry about that.
So I took a 2016 Dodge journey 8 inch screen from.a junkyard and put it in my 2014. Only problem is I didn't know we were supposed to take the a/c control panel and cd player. If I go back and get the rest of the equipment at the junkyard, from that same vehicle I got it from...will it work in my 2014 Dodge journey? Also how much do you rear camera kits cost?
That is not something we recommend at this time. We do not recommend using Ebay or Junkyards to source products as the failure rate of products that have not gone through our 20 point bench test and inspection is very high. This is the link to the only upgrade we can safely recommend.

I went ahead and went to the junkyard to get the rest of the parts and it works now. Only thing is it has an anti-theft code. How can i reset it to take off the anti-theft code
Did you replace the climate control panel what the radio behind it
@@RiaReidid you replace climate control panel and the radio
How do I update the navigation on the 2015 Journey with 8 inch screen?
If you already have the 8.4" screen then you want to select the top drop down menu on this link. This is the cheapest option as we are able to use your current screen instead of having to send another.

Hello, how do I get the upgrade with navigation for my journey, it will also need the OBD as it does have the Automatic button for the climate.

i have a 2012 dodge journey se and the screen is broken and i found a 8.4 screen but its from a 2015 dodge journey. Will it still work?
The Journey uses the same screen from 11-20 so replacing the screen from one in a 15 should be an option. As long as it does not involve the RB5 module which requires programming you should be good.
Can i use the same radio i have in car and just switch the screen?

Figured it out ?
How much does it cost Karma I have a 2018 Dodge Journey 2
Pricing is based off your current configuration and if you want navigation or not. You can access current pricing through the drop down menu options listed on the product page.

Hello I have a 2015 dodge journey se with a broken screen that I’m looking to upgrade/ replace. Mainly because once I replaced my camshaft position sensor & reconnected my battery, the AC in my car reset & the function is set to blow air towards the feet only & I have no way of changing it to blow out the main vents. Would this upgrade also allow me to fix the issue?
Also would like to note I have the off button & Not the auto
I would recommend contacting our sale department at 1-855-636-6287 Ext: 2 or sales@infotainment.zohodesk.com. We would be happy to recommend a compatible solution for your vehicle. Please make sure to have your VIN# ready.
Can you add Sirius and Bluetooth to this if not already installed?
We can add XM through the XM/GPS antenna on this listing. We have the OEM option and a custom magnetic option if you do not want to drill
infotainment.com/shop/exterior-accessories/xm-satellite-radio-antennas/fca-siriusxm-satellite-radio-antenna-kit/
Unfortunately upgrading to Bluetooth hands-free calling is no longer an option through Mopar. The bluetooth module was discontinued.
Can you add a back up camera?
I tried that from you and it didn’t work
Is there a difference between a 2012 uconnect and a 2017 uconnect? the one i have is kinda bad when it comes to quality and when i have my phone plugged into the usb port, it doesnt show what songs are playing or anything like that.
@@Infotainment_nav is there a way i can change the red theme? its kinda getting me depressed lol idk why it doesnt look as good as ram, chrysler or jeep.

Mine doesn’t either just keeps saying 22 degrees. So frustrating
Thank you so much!!
Glad to help!
All that and it didn't come with the piece to answer phone calls on the steering wheel.
This is an issue with the unit that FCA produced. Even up to 20 this vehicle used the equipment from 2011. They also chose to discontinue the Uconnect module. This means they and we do not have and cannot get that piece any more. If they decide to make more we will carry them but until then there is nothing we can do.
What is your website?

What kind of programmer do I need where do I buy it
The programmer to get automatic climate control is found on this page.
infotainment.com/shop/interior-accessories/obd-genie-programmers/dodge-auto-climate-control-programmer-c-acc/
If you're automatic climate ends up being a grayed out icon, you will also need to replace your factory HVAC module with a newer one from the dealership (it has more up to date firmware to handle automatic climate).
Where can I get some please

thanks for sharing
No problem! We hope you enjoyed the video!
Can i still order in 2024?
The Dodge Journey was discontinued in 2020.
Do you have to upgrade the module under the radio if you are just upgrading from the 4.2 Uconnect to the regular 8.4 Uconnect without Navigation?
Yes it does require a module swap. Here is our kit. Just select the 4.2 inch to 8.4 inch Non-Nav option.

I bought a new Dodge Journey in 2012. It was the ABSOLUTE worse care I ever owned. Not only did it have recalls for everything every two weeks, the transmission went out at 4,000 miles. I only had it for 7 months and got rid of it and went back to a Ford vehicle.
We've got Ford upgrades as well! Feel free to reach out to our sales department to discuss a compatible upgrade path. 1-855-636-6287 Ext: 2 or sales@infotainment.zohodesk.com.
I bought mine new back in 2012. Still have it. I love mine. But I’m a handy guy. I do all my own repairs.
Love the power, the space, the 4wd, and overall utility.
And I’ve never babied it. Maybe first 1k miles. We’re at 120k right now.
Lol...one thousand bucks. Not worth it
We do not sell cheap equipment. We sell OEM quality equipment that is fully tested, pre-programmed and procured based on your Vin. There are plenty of companies that sell cheap products. We want to provide a part that we are able to guarantee works and will continue to work. We are confident enough in the product we sell that we are able to warranty it through installation and up to two years depending on your selection at check out. We feel our pricing is competitive as we are comparing our pieces to the cost of getting a new vehicle as opposed the cost of an aftermarket part whose quality is greatly inferior.
Where can you buy the programmer? And does this need to be done? What happens if you do reprogram?
Here is the link to the full kit. This will come with everything you need for the install. The OBD genie programmers that we offer typically offer a feature like backup camera or ACC HVAC climate control programmming. What were you looking for?
