Baltic porter it is a Lager that is true. It is dark that is true, It is usually brewed with lager yeast (cold fermentation ). But it is not an imperial version of "dark lager"- this is NOT true. Historicly it was cold fermentated eastern version (atempt to compete ) of english famous Russian Imperial Stouts when there was no ale yeast (high temperature yeast strains) available , at the end it developed in to new style. It is cold fermentated iperial english porter and this is a fact.
That's one of my fav Hungarian beers. :) If you like IPA, you should try "GreyJoy" from the same brewery (Balkezes). :) Greetings from Hungary!
