Before you start commenting don't forget that Larratt was practicing a lot and Rorbakken came fresh....just try to pull with your friends about 3 minutes and your arm gets sore for weeks....Larratt was there maybe half day
He lives around Bergen in Norway. Think he lives just outside town, and owns a security buisness and works as a bouncer at one of the club there. Atleast he did 2-3 years ago when I lived there.
Keep in mind, Devon's right arm is still recovering from surgery and isn't "super match" shape yet. It's been injured since before his match with Bresnan (which he had to eek out 4-3 as a result). He's been competing entirely on the left for the last two years.
you need to know at this time devon was recovering from a surgery on his right hand if you see he didnt pin his left the thing is that devon right is better than left
For those commenting on Lars' technique: it's called a shoulder press. Lots of guys use it, and it presents an advantage (when properly executed) against pullers who commonly top roll.
What u call that last act of Devon in the first phase when his head is under the table and his using his weight? This is ultimately a fight between angles, strenghts and physics..
Adding to that: The reason there are backyard videos of people getting their arms broken is because they don't know what they are doing. They foolishly learned somewhere (probably middle school) that you aren't supposed to lean, twist, curl, etc., and everything is supposed to be straight left and right. That's a good way to tear ligaments and break bones. These professionals know every technique, and train the proper muscle groups intensely.
+Chris Wilson "Actually you have no idea what your talking about." - I don't know, that sounds abit judgemental to me. But that's fine. You seem to know what you are talking about so we will digress. Yes, what you say is right, however, in this video, and especially Lars, he is very well versed in this move. In fact, I think it's his favourite and only move, so I'd say he is very well conditioned for this type of move. Thanks for commenting.
Crazy how much power he has left after having been doing this for hours - huge difference between "just" a great armwrestler and a true champion like Larratt.
Crazt how Devon is able to pull, stop and beat guys alot bigger than him. That dude is twice the size of him...crazy sport. Really goes to show the inner strenght and mental capacity. Usually, if a guy is clearly alot stronger he should win....not necessarily so in armwrestling. Technique goes along way if u know what ur doing it seems. Pretty wild. Love this shit.
back then i didnt know milo and jodi so well, now i instantly recognized her voice and obviously Milo is devons son, and not that guy in blue like we always thought
That's not how armwrestling works. No-one is so far ahead that they can guarantee a win. Larrat is a beast but there is no way he is a sure win over Bagent left handed or Brzenk or a bunch of other guys.
Only technique Lars can make Larratt work is flop press. It just shows that he has much greater strength in triceps and shoulder than wrist and biceps.
Dear devon fanboys stop making excuses. Everyone loses so there is nothing wrong with it. Stop discrediting the winner by saying devon was tired or had sparred all day or was playing around
Is Lars' technique approved? He doesnt push sideways but rather turns his body and pushes forward. Just wondering.. My point is that the rules state you have to have shoulders square when you start and he hasnt.
Not sure, but I don't see why not. I mean as long as his elbow is not fouling then it's no issues. The technique is strong because he uses his strong triceps, and it's stronger in the pushing forward motion. I'd imagine if he pushes it sideways it's more of a breakarm risk. So he turns sideways to be able to push forward, which is legit. Edit: I didn't see your second sentence - so I guess in a real match he'll have to square up first before quickly turn sideways and push forwards.
Disculpen la ignorancia sobre este tipo de competencias, pero ni en mi barrio estaba permitido hacer lo que hace el de playera amarilla.... o es que nadie se da cuenta que pone todo el hombro y prácticamente el pecho también..!
I think very few people have any clue to what’s going on here. You have to know Devon to understand this, so Devon called out Lars hoping he would be interested in pulling, Devon said I hear your getting back into the sport to Lars right before this. Devon is a huge fan of freaks getting into the sport like Larry Wheels , he’s an ambassador for the sport so this was all about getting Lars comfortable and giving him confidence to stay motivated and keep pursuing armwrestling . Go look at Larry Wheels and Devon pull, Devon almost shows to much respect in these cases to entice them to stay with armwrestling . Last thing Devon would ever do to a Larry Wheels or a big name is to crush their spirit or make them look like a fool, he wants these guys to keep pursuing as it’s good for armwrestling in general . Devon here intentionally let Lars take his best grip and let him perform his strongest move.
Love old Devon Larratt footage. He looks so young compared to now (2022).
Its not that long ago, i still have chicken frozen from 2014. I look the same and im 47 :D

No wonder he look kinda weak against bresnan, but i wonder how he struggle with underwood the foul king

Yes, This is true

It can be dangerous if you don't know what you are doing.

@flamr singh"well he wasn't" (what?). I'm saying that Devon is stronger as if there were any doubts.
Devs technique and experience and endurance is impeccable

Lars beat Matt Mask though, in a legit tournament.
Devon is wolverine
That's exactly what i was thinking.

You have to understand Devon was not trying to pin him lmao, he was making him practice
Good video dude!
Both r awesome
Lars wasn't square on those starts. Helped him a bit, but he's STRONG!
That was the point of this _practice_ session. To let Lars start with a huge advantage and see if Devon can make it out of it

lesson to take. training for strength beats training for skill in arm wrestling. ty lars.
No, just doesn't say anything. This was a practice not a match.
I wanna see Devon arm wrestle with any top tier ring gymnastics, they got fucking crazy arm strength too
+HellaFlush070 It is of my opinion that Dev would destroy any size gymnast in Arm Wrestling.
there is a video after this, that devon win at right hand, this is not full video

Bummer the video cut b4 they tried right again. I wanted to see if Devon figured out how to deal with him.
Devon can smash Lars any time he wants. This was just practice.
Devon looks like The Punisher from the movie.
:)
If he only did squats
Lars losing the wrist but still keeps going. tons of power.
I still impressed how brzenk could stop Lars's brutal press, and he's stronger than in this video when he pulled brzenk
god damn lars got some sick as pipes for arms
Where is right #2 in the end
Im a huge Devon Larratt fan, but check that elbow every time Lars attacked with his left.
hes still on the pad bro just at the corner
Larrat can beat anyone any given day, even when they're on steroids or not.
Even a grandma?
apparently not brzenk
That's not how armwrestling works. No-one is so far ahead that they can guarantee a win. Larrat is a beast but there is no way he is a sure win over Bagent left handed or Brzenk or a bunch of other guys.
apperantly not Lars
This is the same guy Brzenk beat right handed.
Devon Larratt armwrestling motivation
Devon! 💪👑🔥
Lars seriously needs some wrist/hand strength. Combined with his press power that might give him some victories!
Funny to think that the guy in blue shirt is standing in the way of 1,5 million people - watching on youtube 😅
Lars Rorbakken, the king is coming:)
gosh that guys a beast.

R.I.P
lol lars rørbakken took my id at a nightclub called "bryggen nightclub" in bergen, norway. he's a bouncer there.
Devon is hit training...just practising stopping the press. He is the best in the world at stopping the hit.

Devon, so fucking solid lefty. Brick wall
stopped him easy on left, devon mentioned something "my right is killing me"? maybe his right was hurting or tired from previous practice
recovering from elbow surgery
I know Rorbakken isn't shoulder-fouling, but it seems when he presses he leans over center.
With him
sorry if i spelled it wrong. my english is really bad .
Lol did anyone notice how Devon put the strap? He didn't run it over the bottom strap,he ran it under. Such a hustler. Gotta love Devon lol.

Devon looks just like Joel from The Last of Us.
god of dead wrist
Weight of both guys? Lars looks like he's about 80 lbs heavier.
Crap. Devon requested another right hand match at the end and the video ended lol. Nooo
That's all Lars knows how to do, he does it in all of his matches because he must not really train all the muscles for arm-wrestling.
