    As a working mom when I had to attend a all day conference I would sneak out for a bathroom break and just pump. Breast feeding is natural so no need for TMI. You are doing great. I was lucky that I was able to be a working mom and breast feed all 3 of my kids until they were 18 months.

    Morning! I have 5 kids....they are older now but i still keep my routine i used as they were growing up! You HAVE to wake up before them so you can give yourself You time. Prayer bathroom getting dressed and having breakfast first so breakfast can be done for them when they wake up! My mother-in-law had 14 kids! And she was the one who told me in order for you to have order you must get up before the rooster crows, especially when you have little ones! Very wise!!!

      Patricia Mendez it’s like, I know this but it’s so hard. The thing is- my kids wake up at 6:30am. My one year old also keeps waking up throughout the entire night. I’ll pray about this bc I know it’s super important !

    That is awesome that you can be home with Erisy and still be able to "work" 👍👍 My daughter loved Little Baby Bum, Baby Bum junior and Brain Candy TV and learned to count to 10 and recognize letters from a very young age, largely due to their songs I think! And I totally agree with you on the Kat Von D eyeliner...I got one recently and It's the best eyeliner I've ever used! 😍

    Hey!! When you are working and have to pump, just store your milk in a lunch box with a gel ice pack. Don’t toss your precious milk! I am a nurse and work loonnng 12 hour shifts and that’s what works for me.
    Also, can you make more videos on life with breastfeeding? Like what you like to eat and what foods work best for increasing supply?
    Thank you! Love your channel 💖 Great job Mama! Erisy is beautiful 😊

    Hi there! I nursed my son for several years and also worked. You can bring a small cooler, like one of the soft-sided ones, like a lunch box type thing.... and some ice packs and pump into small bottles and take it home with you. Breastmilk is liquid gold, so I'd save it if it were me! :) Great job breastfeeding! :)

    maybe someone already commented but I didn't find it on the first page - you can keep breastmilk safe for 6-8 hours in room temp, so you don't have to dump. Carrying an icepack is a good idea too, just in case you would get delayed

    If you know the venue your conference will be at, you can contact them to see if they have a room or private area you can use for pumping. A lot of places are starting to have rooms for that and it might be more comfortable than a bathroom!
    Also, where did you get those blackout shades? I need them!

    • @shubhajaggi5487
      @shubhajaggi5487 4 роки тому

      It's ok as to each his own. For your second baby if you have, and for anyone else: only 5 percent women have low milk supply. Pumping at the start is not required or advisable. If you feed on demand, even if every hour initially, usually the supply increases. Early formula is what many paediatricians recommend but is not good.

    • @laurc619
      @laurc619 4 роки тому

      shubha jaggi I had a breast reduction and low milk supply is a very common side effect with that surgery as they need to sever your milk ducts. Sometimes with time, your supply comes back but unfortunately that wasn’t the case with my first or second.

    Ugh pumping is the pits. I pump all the time. It is so time consuming!
    Also I tell all my mommy friends about baby bums. I don't know what makes it different from other baby shows but for some reason my little one will stop what she's doing to stare at it. She loves it. Whenever we get a dump of snow I put her in her swing, turn on baby bums and go and shovel the driveway. Hubby works from home so he's in the house with her.
    My little girl is 7 months old.
    Have you given Erisy eggs yet?

    Hey there! Of course you don't have to answer, but I am a new subscriber so I don't know much history: Is there a reason you aren't just breastfeeding from the breast? I am curious because my son had issues breastfeeding when he was newborn and I had to pump around the clock for 2 months but I finally got him back to nursing from breast and it was one of the happiest days of my life. Man, pumping every 2-3 hours every day for those 2 months was exhausting and harder than just nursing him! But once I'd researched breastmilk benefits, I was determined to pump for at least 6 months, even if he never nursed from breast again. Thank goodness he did at about 2 months old, though!

    Most pumps come with ice pack or you can buy them separately. The milk should last about 24 hours in an iced cooler. Kellymom.com is a great source for breastfeeding information. I would call ahead and see if they can provide you with a private room/office to pump. I had to travel and attend some conferences when I was pumping and usually if I called ahead they were able to accommodate. I’m curious about your feeding routine for the baby. I didn’t see her drink any type of milk. Typically under 1 years old breastmilk and formula are the primary source of food and solid food is complementary. Love your videos.

      Sounds like I just gotta try fenugreek. Thank you both! :)

    • @womanofacertainage5892
      @womanofacertainage5892 6 років тому

      Fenugreek capsules, you can get at most any healthfood store. But check with a lactation consultant, as there are medical conditions where you shouldn't use fenugreek. It's perfectly safe for most people, but check with a lactation consultant so she can ask if you have any of the contraindicated conditions.
      Fenugreek saved my breastfeeding with my son. I had low supply, started Fenugreek and within a few days I was able to produce plenty. You take it and will smell like maple syrup so don't be shocked with that happens. Your urine and sweat will smell like the syrup, totally normal. I took 2 capsules, 3 times a day, I think it was.
      And most of all, NURSE NURSE NURSE! Breast milk production is DEMAND, then SUPPLY -- so if there is less demand because you cut back on nursing, then there will be less supply. So if you can nurse like crazy for a few days in a row, that will help boost supply, too.

    I use Spectra 9 Plus which is a pretty small rechargeable pump and I normally just pump in my car with a cover. But if it's financially feasible, there's a new pump on the market called Willow Pump. It's completely hands-free and can be worn under the bra. The downside is that the milk storage bags are quite small and they're exclusively made for this pump only. It's quite a bit of an investment but it all depends on what you need.

    What is your secret to producing so much milk? All my 6 week old baby does is breastfeed and it's like he doesn't get enough.

    Dont pump and dump, bring a cooler bag and some ice bricks and place your milk in there.
