Amazing work guys! It's important to introduce the field of neurotech to the general public and the way you describe everything so simply is perfect. Keep it up!
Serious question.. with voice to skull v2k mkultra now AI and nanotechnology. Illegal remote Neural monitoring Brain mapping. Targeted individuals minds are under pressure constant Assault of the mind. How is This not been taken seriously? Neurosurgeons and Neurologist ER doctor's especially NEED to be able to properly treat Targeted individuals! There's tests that can be run.
this is a great, detailed, and informative video! as a person who knows nothing about this topic, you explained it simply enough for me to understand. i will be referencing your videos a lot in my assignments haha thank you
Kudos for having briefly mentioned the Simulation hypothesis. The probabilistic ratio of our Universe being base reality to not is zero, given that we can arbitrarily create simulated realities inevitably in the future, and that we are "interested" is building such a system, unless we perish as a species and fail to ever have a chance to know the fundamental truths of existence.
How stimulated and interesting your work is, I so admire your knowledge hope in the future we can direct download knowledge from people like you how interesting
I would like to see the references for the studies you have mentioned here. Can you please make them available? The details are EVERYTHING when it comes to being a scientist.
Hi I’m soon to graduate with a major in neuroscience and I really want to get into the tech field of it and learn to code, learn about electricity, circuitry, computer/general hardware but I don’t know where to go :/ I want to go into the future technical side of neuroscience
Hi, your video is amazing! Good work! But i'm here to ask to you a question, what university should i take to study nerutecnology? Please answer me something
Yeah that was our first video project. Unfortunately we didn’t know what we were doing yet. You can see it’s gotten better in our newer videos. It’s unfortunate because we put a lot of work into those videos
Oops I'll add that to the description. www.bciguys.com/citations I believe - it will be updated each week (also there are a few missing so hang in there)
Hi BCI guys, thanks so much for the series. Just a lil note, is it possible to volume up the audio for the videos on this channel a little more? I’ve watched many videos on this channel, and one issue I have is the audio is often too soft, and I’ll have to set the volume to the highest on my AirPods (watching this channel most of the time when I’m at work) and then suddenly when ads pop up, it goes super loud, brain and ear damage.
Hey! I’m glad you’re liking the videos. Unfortunately we were very much amateurs when we made the course videos and didn’t do the best job with the audio :(. Is our newer stuff better or still too soft?
@@BCIGuy I just watched the some of the newest videos, and compared it with some other videos on UA-cam. It’s still considerably soft to clearly hear the speech, without having to look at the subtitles, or turn the volume up to 70% or more. But it’s definitely better than these old ones! Keep it up, you BCI guys are doing such amazing content. Really appreciate it.
@@Aswesomegleek We cover auditory processes and neuroprosthetics in later lessons but will make more videos on this topic specifically as we don't go into much depth (there is so much to cover). We will also put this in the written content. We do have a video up on our channel that goes more in-depth into cochlear implants titled: Neuralink: Stream Music to Your Brain!?
Certainly! When you get to lesson 6 you'll learn about neuromodulation technologies. These devices can take the form of implantable electronics that secrete medication directly to target areas. This means that doses can be stronger because they don't propagate throughout the body. This means that treatment can be much more targeted
I agree 100%! We care a lot about ethics. If you look through our videos you'll find a couple that address these issues but we want to address these issues more in the future
Thanks actually not quite true. We use all of our brains. Evolution wouldn't be too smart if it put an energy hog up there that didn't do anything. However, only a small portion of the overall brain deals with consciousness and higher-order processing. That's probably where that 10% number comes from. But I agree! This tech will unlock new capabilities!
@@BCIGuy A blind, purposeless, random process cannot be smart at all actually. If you think such a thing is responsible for designing and constructing an object as miraculous as the brain I pity you.
Yes, I guess that is true. The last 20 years have brought so many advancements. It just seems like there is so much more to go. Maybe we'll start using toddler lol
So we all get to be slaves because you've suffered an unfortunate accident and just want to walk again. I would never ask the same of you or anybody ever if our roles were reversed. Don't lie to yourself and think that for one second that the web of funders for these kinds of tech actually care about you and don't have very ulterior motives for its usage. Don't sell yourself out to these fantasies. Hold strong that the world may become just before these techs (social warfare weapons) are made legal and ubiquitious. Because we are equal and therefore you don't deserve to walk anymore than it could be argued that we don't deserve to be able to conjure, connect, and retain the ability to arrive at original and unimpeded thought.

aww thank you!
This is so useful. As a scientist in EE field related to these topics, it is an amazing introduction to Neuroscience aspects of it.

What are cochlear implants considered to be since they directly stimulate the auditory nerve?
Auditory Neuroprosthetics
@@BCIGuy Awesome! Would love to see more content on Auditory Neuroprosthetics :)

can someone merge medicine and surgery with neurotechnology

We certainly think so
Do you guys have a discord? would love to join a community focused on the BCI and Neurotech field that isn't a startups discord.
We’re gonna put one together soon! Sit tight
