I would suggest stripping the whole movement aside the coil and cleaning it thoroughly. Dirt in between the bushes and the wheel pivots in each side of the plates will act like abrasive over time and damage them ( re bushing job then required) use clock oil not grease and only use tiny amounts. See others videos on how to service a clock would suggest. Nice little clock and very impressive you stripped down the electrical winding . Very fiddly.
Nice clock. We had a wall clock that had the same sort of starting button, but sticking out og the bottom of it. It was purely random though which way the motor would run. LOL.
This is a whole new area of technical work for me. Again, a very thorough, methodical and meticulous approach to the task. Good camera work too.
