- I recently heard of Marcus Veltri from hearing him and Harry Mack do Omegle Bars together, so I didn't really get to see him shine and do what he does, but my goodness. Marcus is an absolute mad man with how talented he is. I still cannot beleive he does some of this stuff. Ont top of that he is a beat boxer too.... So much Talent.

Dude, when he started beatboxing on that song, you were catching flies with your mouth. Yeah Marcus is so incredibly talented. Music theory+perfect pitch+Marcus Veltri= absolute greatness. Marcus is the man who introduced me to Harry Mack which is one of the many reasons why I love him so much!!!

@@willynilly182 Why the clown faces? He isn't wrong. I mean not all musicians can easily play by ear and improvise as good as Marcus. And that is the real hard part. Playing blindfolded might look impressive to some people but it actually isn't that difficult at all. I played the guitar for a long time and when you look at the notes you don't look at your fingers anyways, so when you know the song by heart you can easily close your eyes and just play. So playing blindfolded is pretty much a skill that most people get automatically when they play long enough just because of muscle memory and all that. At least i could do it.
Having perfect pitch and being able to replicate and arrange music on the spot is insane and dwarfs everything else and i was never even close to anything like it.
Music theory is math based, which can suck for some people. The reason Marcus sounds better than what you heard in the song, is he isn’t just playing the melody, he’s also playing the harmony and in some cases the counterpoint, at the same time. So it sounds much fuller than if he just played the melody. He’s got so much fire content to get into, you’re in for a treat! Hope you feel better soon!❤️🔥🌶

My favorite guitarist, Tim Henson, was rejected from Berklee, so sometimes theory and school can be blind. Imagine being the future of guitar, writing some of the most complex riffs and not getting into music school because math is hard.😂
@@rachaelwhite5961 To be fair, having perfect pitch is a huge advantage and it initially is a lot easier for him to be able to improvise. I say initially because people who develop good relative pitch will be able to do what he can but it still takes a lot of time to develop that
@@toby7647 Yeah perfect or absolute pitch is interesting. There are cases where it’s innate and developed further and then cases where it’s forced without an excessive aptitude. I enjoy the improv, beatboxing and original content Marcus does more than the playing by ear stuff..❤️

Knowing music theory is just like knowing any language. Once you know the words (notes) and sentence structure (chord progression) quoting someone (replaying a song) becomes easier.

You know that thing in your throat when you listen to Marcus? I noticed it happends to you too... If I listen Marcus for two hours my thoat feels like I were sad for a long time. I think is because we retain tears bro, honestly, it's so f*cking emotive to listen to Marcus delivering a perfect pitch after 20 seconds of listening a song that he doesn't even know...
New to your channel, enjoying the content! I hope you have looked up "Perfect Pitch" at this point, it literally means he has a Marvel Taskmaster-like skill but his is he can hear a piece of music and immediately duplicate it. Not only that, but he can build on it and make it more than it was originally. Truly a special guy with an amazing talent.

Hey I stumbled across your vid randomly and decided to watch it, I think it was either Marcus or TheDoo (he’s the Marcus Veltri of guitar) they say a lot of it is music theory, these guys have studied for years if not decades, and pop music isn’t as complex musicly as classical music hence when combined with pitch perfect (the ability to hear and identify the exact notes) they are able to re create song with ease. I hope this helps you understand.

Its all just music theory combined with insane skill. Hes able to quickly establish the key its in, then from there establishes major, minor, dominant and 7 chords, and plays the melody along with added arpeggios some flavor.
yes while it is amazing if you have a simple understanding of music theory you can see how none of this is unbelievable. Great content and not to diminish it at all but you get what im saying.

It’s called PERFECT PITCH. That he has. He can listen to a song for a few seconds and play it right back the exact way on the piano.
I hope you'll feel better soon man. I'm happy to see you did a veltri reaction. Perfect pitch implies you know what notes you hear without needing a note reference. A lot besides that is music theory. A lot of songs follow the same chord paterns. He just needs to, for example, remember something like "Key is A, and it's I V IV VI," which is still impressive.
You should definitely do more of these. His most recent 2 or 3 are pretty good. Maybe you could alternate mack and veltri reactions,

I'm not sure if you've noticed, but you tend to make the same face as the people you watch in the reaction. Also it seems most people forget that the piano is classified as a String Instrument. Electric pianos can be hard to remember that
