This reminds me of what Sophia Petrillo said in the pilot episode of the The Golden Girls: “Do you know happened? They set off the fire alarm in a retirement home. Who can rush?! Half the people have walkers. The other half can’t get out of their chairs, but they’ve got bells going off like crazy! Do you know what that does to hearts that only beat a few times a week? It’s not pretty!”
It could be a 2001 but you can do 90 BPM march time on other panels. I guess the 2001 was the one that commonly used it so people just started calling it 2001 March Time. The fire alarm enthusiasts have made their systems sound like this like NewAgeServerAlarm and it is important to note that NewAgeServerAlarm built his panel himself. The Alertek 8005/8004 are his creation.
He's in a power chair or scooter and he said in an earlier comment snow banks has the exits blocked. Those things are not designed to go in heavy snow piles a dusting or light coating is ok but the tires on those things will get stuck in anything more than an inch or two. I have one so I know what I'm talking about.
I love the song of Old time fire alarms, with they were just a little less loud, them old Time horns are loud enough to damage your ears. Also if you could smell smoke. You should have been getting out of there
@TssCman123 The reason for the electromechanical horns and the lights (which are incandescent, not fluorescent) is that this is an older system. Back then, mechanical horns were more common and strobes were not widely used.
This is my favorite fire alarm video in the world. I wish I could hug this man and tell him how much joy this video brings me hahahaha "Have you suffered any burns?" Yeah to my ass. XD XD XD
@TssCman123 Actually for current buildings ADA laws require that strobes be used even in hospitals or nursing homes. Strobes can be adjusted for circumstances like you mentioned. They can be set as low as 15cd and they are required to be synced meaning they all go off at the same time.
Probably a Two-Stage System(Or a By Zone System) Yes I know this comment was from 9 Years ago, But this is a Classic video, I remember when this exactly was Uploaded
If you hear the alarm, malfunction or not, get the FuCK OUT OF THE BUILDING no matter how cool the alarm sounds, by the way it's in good rythem though.
When i was in a rehab center after a surgery the fire alarm went off they closed all the doors called code red and we were told to stay in our rooms until the all clear was given do not come out into the halls or sitting areas
Update the nursing home in crossville still has 2903 light plates with 2901-9806s they replaced the panel cause it broke but they tested the alarms an said they have no desire to replace them
@Tabby266 I don't know what I meant by that comment was that they no longer use light plates a light plate contains a regular lightbulb not even a CFL ADA requirements state that they must use strobes set at AT LEAST 15cd I don't work there nor do I work for Simplex
@PlausableApple4 It's not just Simplex that doesn't make them anymore none of the alarm companies do. Edwards made the Vibratone horns and I don't know what the other companies vibrating ones were called.
@Fred2915 Didn't you read his one comment he said he couldn't get out because snowbanks were blocking the doors. He's restricted to riding around in that motorized scooters and those things haven't really been designed for all weather use. My friend takes his out in the snow but that's only cause he HAS to just to get stuff done like grocery shopping but he's already destroyed two scooters because of it and he's on his third.
@raymond9987654321 Yeah that is a Simplex system on March Time. That's called 90 BPM march time. Some people mistakenly call it Simplex 2001 March Time but the correct term is 90 BPM
Yeah he was if you listen closely at the beginning of the video you can hear the motors in his wheelchair/scooter as he's going to his bedroom door to go into the main area.
@TssCman123 the Pull stations are probably high up on the wall so that the altzthimers and dimencha patients dont pull them during one of their "episodes"
@Blorenz24 Yeah the FD always has to respond when those go off unless they are told ahead of time it is a drill/test. they just hadn't arrived yet. Toward the end of the video when he first says he's going to shut it off the one lady says something about filming when the FD comes later.
Hi i have the Same fire in my flat in Leasowe,Wirral in England as a fire Marshall as i work there it is one them ones where you pay rent at the reception and all that we have to test the fire alarm everyday but at night people randomly smash it we have fire brigade every night and i'm blowing a whistle making everyone get outside then i do the register the fire service check if no-ones in the building it is always a false alarm even though i own the all the flat as i rent every single flat
It's measured the same way as a physician would measure your heart beat if you wanted to check for yourself set a timer for 1 minute and then keep count of each blast until the timer reaches 0.
My friend and I are Fire Alarm Enthusiasts, and we IDOLIZE YOU! You're a celebrity among us. "Sir? Have you suffered any burns?" Hahahaha!

Have you suffered any burns? Yeah it's my ass
I'm sorry to Hear that. LOL

Imperial195 i
Devices seen and heard:
Simplex 4251-20 pull stations
Simplex 2903-9001+2901-9806 horn/lights
With a Simplex 2001 panel, no doubt!
This was in my recommended in 2023 after 18 years of me forgetting about it

.....
Okay....
I agree. If you hear the fire alarm you are supposed to leave the building.
He's in a power chair or scooter and he said in an earlier comment snow banks has the exits blocked. Those things are not designed to go in heavy snow piles a dusting or light coating is ok but the tires on those things will get stuck in anything more than an inch or two. I love how people stay in the building when your ur supposed to exit..
I love how you're replying to a comment that's nearly 10 years old.
@@FireRescue80 I love how you're commenting on a comment 4 months old.🗿
All of y'all old.
Theres snow blocking the doors that power scooters cant get through
That's what they are. My high school had these and they sounded exactly like the ones in this video.
@TssCman123 The reason for the electromechanical horns and the lights (which are incandescent, not fluorescent) is that this is an older system. Back then, mechanical horns were more common and strobes were not widely used.
There’s plenty mechanical horns still used to this day with the old 2903s
This is my favorite fire alarm video in the world. I wish I could hug this man and tell him how much joy this video brings me hahahaha "Have you suffered any burns?" Yeah to my ass. XD XD XD
i remember this video from like 5 years ago. glad to find it. "have you suffered any burns?" "yes to my @$$"
i love these simplex alarms!
Listen closely and you can hear the clicking of the vibro-pad after each buzz .
Good ole' marchtime.
if that was a fire drill, they FAILED!
@Kia0Rio yea sometimes whenever i overhear someone say fire drill at school i plug my ears all day XD
Update the nursing home still has the 2903-9806 fire alarms
i wish we had these kinds of alarms at our school
@TssCman123 Actually for current buildings ADA laws require that strobes be used even in hospitals or nursing homes. Strobes can be adjusted for circumstances like you mentioned. They can be set as low as 15cd and they are required to be synced meaning they all go off at the same time.
The alarm is definitely a 2901+2903+9806 light plate and the the panel is definitely a 2001 because of the 90bpm march time.
Simplex 2001 fire alarm system most likely
It's the horn's mechanism hitting the sounder plate.
TrueAlert horn/strobes on a panel that was set to continuous oh man that is a fate worse than death!
Don't let the simplex horn strives burn up
Those aren't strobes they are light plates they use an incandescent bulbs
Especially if you smell smoke, get the hell out of the building. It could be a sign of a fire.
The Symplex is my favorite alarm
Simplex.
Dances trough fire alarm*
probably a 2001 panel, judging by the 90bpm march time.
and they are definately 9806 horns.
that pull station seen was probably a 4251-20.
I wonder what made them disconnect most of the horns?
Probably a Two-Stage System(Or a By Zone System)
Yes I know this comment was from 9 Years ago, But this is a Classic video, I remember when this exactly was Uploaded
@clairepal Isn't that a violation of fire code to let snow block the doors?
incandecent light
0:05 BEEP BEEP BEEP
If you hear the alarm, malfunction or not, get the FuCK OUT OF THE BUILDING no matter how cool the alarm sounds, by the way it's in good rythem though.
May you rest in peace, clairepal :(
We're you in a motorized wheelchair. You moved smoothly and was low to the ground
When i was in a rehab center after a surgery the fire alarm went off they closed all the doors called code red and we were told to stay in our rooms until the all clear was given do not come out into the halls or sitting areas
Update the nursing home in crossville still has 2903 light plates with 2901-9806s they replaced the panel cause it broke but they tested the alarms an said they have no desire to replace them
Any idea on the coding? Likely continuous with the new panel
Simplex 2001 system
These Simplex Fire Alarms are in March. time. Mode
@lkfcobra I love those vibrating horns. It sucks the Simplex doesn't manufacture them anymore. :(
a senior that knows how to upload to youtube nice!
On my school once the fire alarms were activated and year five was eating a cake and because there was fire of the cake they got activated.
Am I the only one who hears the "buzz click" ?
Simplex 2001 panel
1:24 oh no its not oh no no no. LOL
Hahahah I loled BECAUSE this has over 100k views.
some-id-i-ot-pulled-me-some-idi-i-ot-pulled-me..
What is the "bang" or "Thump" I hear right as he is leaving his room?
probably the horn's diaphragm
I'm so getting one of those alarms soon.
They could walk if they wanted too
Those Simplex 2903-9806s sound weird in March time. It reminds me of a beat to a hip hop or rap song for some reason.
+Pilot 1466 It's odd because the Simplex 2001s had 90 BPM march time instead of the modern 120 BPM march time.
@Gb755c its a little metal plate in the alarm that makes the acual noise .
@Tabby266 I don't know what I meant by that comment was that they no longer use light plates a light plate contains a regular lightbulb not even a CFL ADA requirements state that they must use strobes set at AT LEAST 15cd I don't work there nor do I work for Simplex
There’s a nursing home in crossville that has those same alarms Idk If the systems still there or not
@PlausableApple4 It's not just Simplex that doesn't make them anymore none of the alarm companies do. Edwards made the Vibratone horns and I don't know what the other companies vibrating ones were called.

4002 is a panel, not a horn strobe.
haha i remember this. i used to live there!
~lisa
@raymond9987654321 Yeah that is a Simplex system on March Time. That's called 90 BPM march time. Some people mistakenly call it Simplex 2001 March Time but the correct term is 90 BPM
backrooms ahh building
Yeah he was if you listen closely at the beginning of the video you can hear the motors in his wheelchair/scooter as he's going to his bedroom door to go into the main area.
👨🏻🚒🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
the alarm is catchy
I think those are Simplex 2903s with 2901-9806 horns on 90 bpm march time
2903 light plates are the ones I like
i see them monday through friday
i even have one
Those are 2904 light plates they have an incadesant bulb that lights up as shown whereas the 2903 has a strobe light under the light cover.
@TssCman123 the Pull stations are probably high up on the wall so that the altzthimers and dimencha patients dont pull them during one of their "episodes"
That is not why, actually.
@Blorenz24 Yeah the FD always has to respond when those go off unless they are told ahead of time it is a drill/test. they just hadn't arrived yet. Toward the end of the video when he first says he's going to shut it off the one lady says something about filming when the FD comes later.
My sister's school has these alarms
simplex on march time?
I love those simplex alarms flashing lamps you don't have those flashing bright strobes
Agreed that's what I like about these alarms no strobes
That's what people had back in the late 1970s early 1980s lol
Wii freeze🔥🗣️🔥🗣️
Was this a Simplex 2903 9806?
It looks like the backrooms
Hi
i have the Same fire in my flat in Leasowe,Wirral in England as a fire Marshall as i work there it is one them ones where you pay rent at the reception and all that we have to test the fire alarm everyday but at night people randomly smash it we have fire brigade every night and i'm blowing a whistle making everyone get outside then i do the register the fire service check if no-ones in the building it is always a false alarm even though i own the all the flat as i rent every single flat
England needs good simplex alarms instead of the roshni sounders.
What a nice Alarm Clock?
Wow the guys are like there’s a fire🥹
The alarm is a Simplex 2901 9806
That is a simplex horn with a light plate
the horns are Siemens/Cerbus/Pyrotronics/Pyr-A-Larm U-NH-MCS
sorry
I always confuse the name of these horns because they are so much alike
@@alexistrinquet7419 Simplex, doesn't look anything like Siemens
was there a fire
I wonder if there still there
at 3:23 you can see the 9806 and the light flashing
2903s connected to a 2001 doing march time
wich burned food in the cafetaria?
He said in his description someone pulled it
Gary Beltz no it went off with a smell of smoke
I wonder how long it was till they shut it off
Lol. I. Like it
Vibratones
Is real smoke the alarm 2903+9833 in march time in 4005.
That's on 120 BPM, actually.
CD no its on 90
Just noticed that. Thanks. *****
It's measured the same way as a physician would measure your heart beat if you wanted to check for yourself set a timer for 1 minute and then keep count of each blast until the timer reaches 0.
@Droideka133 What is the vibro-pad?
@Tabby266 Actually they use strobes now
correct
Ouch. How did it happen?
and yet somehow this dosent get one dislike...
2001 march time!
Sounds so loud for a nursing home
Before ADA
how is this guy now?
I would have a huge head ache after that. I would be like "Shut up you stupid fire alarm!"
