How does the private driver work and how did you book? I'm planning on flying into Aqaba, spending 2 nights in Wadi Rum, 2 night in Petra, 1 night at the Dead Sea and then 1 night in Amman. Do you think a driver or renting a car would be best? Thank you!
Apologies for the late response. We didn't want to deal with navigating and weren't sure what driving there would be like so we hired a driver and was super glad we did. There are big open roads but driving can get aggressive and have heard of safety issues for some people, but also heard other people having no issues. So it's really up to you! How did it work with organising drivers? Trying to plan a Jordan trip atm and this is the bit I'm struggling with. Did you use 1 driver the whole week? I think we'd like to be able to use different ones for each day/trip as we decide, rather than the committment of paying for one the whole time but can't find info on how it works
It was pretty easy, I emailed a few different companies and decided to go with: JPTT@jordanprivatetours.net. They'll assign you a driver the whole week who will pick you up/drop you off each day and they'll stay nearby. You could just get taxis each day too or rent a car
