This particular segment aired during the Countdown episode which originally aired on February 22, 1981, on the ABC.
This clip features an interview of British band The Police, featuring members Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland, conducted by Countdown Talent Co-Ordinator Molly Meldrum.
The interview begins with a discussion about the band's most recent tour, and the types of arenas played, and whether they would play small venues as opposed to the big arenas. They then proceed to discuss what is involved in their video clips. They discuss the band's most recent concert in India. Molly also asks Stewart about his solo work under the guise of Klark Kent. They also discuss rumours about the band breaking up. The interview concludes with Molly wishing the band success on their Australian tour.
