Could those who voted this video with a thumbs-down please explain what the hell your problem is? This is a magnificent video, with unique angles and perspective of the most beautiful mountain in the most beautiful country in the world.
I agree with you when someone is flying one over your back garden.... annoys me too, but this footage is amazing. The only thing I don't like about Snowdon is the lack of mentality at the summit where people don't have the brains to get their photo and then move off so that the next person can do the same. So you end up with 20 people all in each other's shots and no clear view. That is why the last time I went I did so around sunset and had the summit all to myself and got the pictures I wanted. Not that this has anything to do with drones, you understand! LOL
I think I would have preferred more lingering views of the train and mountains rather than it being "strafed" by the drone. The shift between scenes was also a trifle "sudden" at times. A more languid and gentle treatment would have been preferable. Far too short a video too, IMHO. Is there a longer version? Still well worth a decent thumbs up though. That scene where they drew back to view the entire mountain was stunning! More should and could have been made of the scenery from this uniquely high viewpoint. They must have been pushing 4500 feet at times.
I feel like I've fallen in love with how amazing these shots of the mountain are! Excellent footage here, I would love to come and visit the railway someday!
5 Stars....! Superb images and music, great angles showing all those wonderful views. I've been up there once 4 years ago, it was a beautiful day with clear Blue skies.
Really enjoyed this. Just shared it with a channel in the states who spoke of the Mount Washington railway...very similar but this is of course our beloved Wales. All the best. Mark
Wonderful video because I did the entire trip in virtual reality on the Oculus Rift VR HMD, and the new Google Earth VR. Of course I am seeing the same thing in full 3D and I can look or move around to anyplace. In your exact same overhead shot, I was scared stiff. Do not fear however. I am recommending the real trip to everyone I know here in the U.S. This truly is an experience of a lifetime. There are similar long cog wheel rides on Mt. Kulm and Mt. Pilatus near Lucerne, Switzerland where the climb is much steeper. They take about 40 minutes each way. Did both those in VR too. FYI - The 3D is done with photogrammetry. Drones are now set up to do that.
Did the Pyg track when I was about 10. My parents liked walking up wet hills and me and my brother were dragged along with them. A couple of days after walking Snowdon I failed to climb Cadair Idris and waited on my own by a large lake while my brother and parents climbed to the top. It was a different time.
Very happy to give you a solid thumbs-up ! Part of my background was in filming, videotaping, and TV production: I endorse the many highly positive comments you have gained re your coverage of this fascinating journey. Well done, sir ! And may I add: Diolch yn fawr iawn !
Hello Me and hubby are watching this magnificent video of your’s as we are planning to visit snowdonia mountain one day. Its our first time and we want to see what it is looks like. The drone footage super wow. I love it very much.
Summer 1977, 4 of us rode our trail bikes right to the top of Snowdon. Up the path as far as halfway house then it got too rocky, so got onto the railway line and rode up the line to the top. Very naughty/tut,tut I hear you say, but when you re 17 do you think we cared - no. For anyone interested in motorcycles I was on a Suzuki TS250, the other 3 were on Yamaha DT400 and two Yamaha DT250s. Wish I had some photos but alas not.
I've been there 4 years ago.. Sadley, due to bad weather train was cancled.. I'm willing to visit the lovely northern wales again! except Conwy. I had bad expereince there.
I have been up Snowdon several times by train and the biggest laugh I had one year is when a group of people from Thailand asked me "Do they bring the sheep in at night?"
great footage thumbs up by my, living fairly close to this icon of a mountain and the technology of drowns today’s brings Mt Snowdon in to a class of its own! 👍
Would have liked closer video and some lingering shots, but I understand you not wanting to bother the passengers. A beautiful video overall though. I think this is the first I've seen of that train shelter at the summit station. Makes sense that it's there, of course. I understand the winds can get quite cruel at those heights.
Will do and thanks i've just got the Mavic pro which so far has been mostly trying out photos as i like my photography, it gives a much different view to my DSLR and CSC gear. Im going to try get some video footage there ( weather dependent )
My late wife climbed Snowden, suitably clothed. She was refused refreshments at the cafe on top because she was wearing boots!!.People who arrived by railway were served refreshments.(of course)

As a Licenced Drone user myself lovely unusual video Loved it myself although worrying on how they got past the legal height restriction I think it would be against the law to fly a Drone here

This is the clearest I've ever seen it at the summit. I've walked/scrambled up 3 times between 1985 - 1991 and it's always been cloaked in cloud.
A combination of good filming and lovely suitable music.
Captures the mountain beautifully.

Some people just don't like drones. Usually due to having experience with irresponsible chav owners!

It could be they have vertigo that lead them to press wrong button 🤯

You must come and visit to see the real beauty of Snowdonia!
Went on a coach holiday and one of the excursions was the snowdon mountain railway. It was the highlight of my trip, the views are insane!
I've climbed Snowden lot of times and I tell what every time I reach the summit it feels even better. One day you'll have to drag me down!
Since you wrote that Klopps took us to greater hights...YNWA 👊
Wish i could go back up to the summit. Again. In bad health now. So can't do it..
Stunning !!!
I've walked up that massive hill up one end down the other end 2003. Loved it. Beautiful bit of Welsh land. Gorgeous.... ✌️ ❤️
This place looks magical. I need to go there someday...

We went there a week ago It was very nice 👌
That's a beautiful video, of a beautiful part of the world, on a beautiful day. Perfect. When I die that's where I want my ashes scattering.

Wow... so beautiful
Nice cinematography--and a lovely calm day on which to fly the camera. It is often very windy on the upper slopes.

Would you let me use this footage as the banner for my website?

Good luck with the walk, tag us in on your drone footage!

What is the best time of the day (July) to take the train so there is no fog ?
The mountain weather is totally unpredictable, sorry! Check the weather forecast before booking.
What music is used?
Yeah for real why there's dislikes? Video isn't a click-bait ffs. Some people 'sad' as hell. 🤦♂️😄
what drone was used to film this do you know?
We're not sure? It was done by cameradroneuk.com
Hope you like it!
Geile Landschaft
I'm here just to see what the real culdeefell railway is like
As a Licenced Drone user myself lovely unusual video Loved it myself although worrying on how they got past the legal height restriction I think it would be against the law to fly a Drone here
