In an interview, she told her story of how as a teenager, she was a ballet dancer who studied in London, but had to quit due to a foot injury. So her mom entered her name in a Malaysian beauty pageant without her knowledge. Her mom convinced her to participate and she won, making her popular enough to be hired to be in a TV Ad with Jackie Chan, who later invited her to star in one of his movies. This led to her learning stunts and training in martial arts choreography with Jackie's famous Hong Kong stunt team, thus starting her career as a martial arts film star in Hong Kong movies during the 80s.

Fun fact : The lady wing chun founded the style but she never open a school to spread her kung fu due to the old concept that bias of genders in ancient china. It was her husband (also her very first student) who open the wing chun school and spreading the style to the whole country and now worldwide

The very 1ˢᵗ Wing Chun movie I saw was "Warriors Two". It is a 1978 Hong Kong martial arts film written and directed by Sammo Hung, who also co-stars in the film.
Reminds me of 'Kung Fu Hustle' -- this is a comedy riot, IMHO, & the 'flying' is top notch!! Plus, their Kung Fu is other-worldly, right?! And everyone is some kind of sex fiend?!, or so it seems........NOT a judgement -- an observation, OK?1
Michelle Yeoh (Tai Chi Master), Donnie Yenn (Drunken Tai Chi), and Norman Chui (Duel to the Death), three of the best martial arts performers of this movie. Always enjoy all of their works.

She almost never put on a makeup, it's a nature beauty. And she is an action lady, every move she makes is real no stunt lady.
