same :'( it was really really low - i hate what they did, i got to a point where im only watching the show to see Claire and Menendez romance bloom and they killed it for me !
Dr Melendez is my favorite character, to me he is the real embodiment of the good doctor. I also shipped him and Claire since the early seasons. Needless to say I was devastated by his death. But from another perspective, there is no one else that they can kill to give the other characters their necessary character development (Shaun, Claire, Audrey, etc)
I am a retired nurse. I worked with doctors who were surgical residents for many years at Shands Teaching Hospital at the University of Florida. I was immediately taken on how Dr Melendez was so authentic to his role. He was played a chief resident. They are usually older and very commanding as he was in the show. Now that I know that his brother and father were both doctors, it all made sense. Not only did he have family members to emulate but he had the genetic material to back it up. 😎
Season 3 broke my heart... I shipped Claire and melendez from season 1. I knew it would happen at some point... But unexpected Lim came into the scene and I loved that couple... And when they broke up I was sure Claire is up.. But I was not ready.. I was like not so soon though I want it to happen... I difn't want to hate melendez.....the writers were clever to take us to a point where we are ready for the romance between Claire and melendez. I was ready for it.. I knew from the beginning melendez admired Claire... From the moment of the death of the mother of Claire... I knew Melendez loved her... I was eagerly waiting for them to confess and to have a kiss 😘... But the unexpected happen... That kiss didn't happen... Funny thing is that... I was praying for melendez 😂😂.. For his recovery. I stopped watching good doctor now... Because I don't want to see Claire with any other... I wanted Claire with malendez.. I can't watch Claire in that situation..she lost everyone whom she loved and cared.
Korean Good doctor wasn't cancelled... That's the normal range of episodes a Korean series goes for and don't usually go for another season. American tv just adopted it.
I just love dr.park I don’t know why but every time he was on screen i was enjoying the show more, i loved his roll specially in the last episode of season 3 he looked could outside but he did have a warm heart
The original korean version of the drama isn't canceled though. As someone who watch both Korean Dramas and western dramas, there are many differences in styles off how it is done. Western dramas tend to go on for years, seasons etc but for Korean Drama, they are often and very very normally to be short. They're called mini-series with limited episodes. It is very rare to see Korean Drama to go on for seasons. They usually would go for 8 episodes, 16 episodes and 26 episodes. It doesn't mean that they flopped though, it is just because the storyline only goes until there. I hope that's clear enough and I hope I phrased my words nicely. Anyway, I love the video!
the korean good doctor wasnt "canceled" but just ended. in korea, most dramas that air twice a week only have 16 or 20 episodes. they only call it a drama and not series because you don't see dramas getting picked up for a season 2. it just wasn't the trend. especially in the years when the korean ver. of good doctor came out. the trend has started to change a little and seasons are starting to become a possible thing now and we see some dramas coming back but it is still pretty rare. many actors in korea move onto other dramas and movies and have their schedule lined up making it hard to get a butt load of the cast and staff to stay on and film for a 2nd season right away.
I've loved Freddie since he played the title character in "August Rush." It's actually my favorite thing he's done only second to "The Good Doctor." If you haven't seen it, treat yourself to a young Freddie and amazing co-stars Robin Williams, Kerrie Russell and the delicious Jonathan Rhys Meyer and that hunk from Hawaii 5-0, Steve McGarrett. WOW! You WILL cry!
I hate that they killed Melendez it was disappointing. My feeling for the movie changed. But i am glad i see him on season four even if it is not real.😥😥😥
Ur gonna hate the 4th season, too much political stuff. They try way too hard to include everyone and it seems that they are hating on men the first 3 episodes. And then all race and color bullshit comes up. And then they also ''hating'' on women too. Idk they fell off
@@jithinkrishna6394 yeah:/ BUT the show gets actually kinda good after 10 episodes so its up to u. But ur gonna notice a HUGE change between season 1-3 and 4.
I have not watched the good doctor since they dropped Melendez from the show. He was my favorite. Another flaw is when they took out a patient's kidney, and saying too bad they had to do this to a perfectly healthy one. Well they could have put it back! They do transplants every day: heart, liver, kidneys, lungs. So why did the real doctor who makes up some episodes miss THAT!
This is just my opinion but killing Melendez off the show was a really bad idea, he was definitely one of a lot of people’s fav character. I like that they put him back in the show in S4 but he’s not literally there. I feel the show made the wrong decision but its not like he is coming back. I kind of wish that he had just got fired (I wouldn’t want either) because then if they felt they made the wrong decision he could then come back (obviously it would be hard, but there is more hope he would come back if he were fired than dead) but since he died, there is no hope😭😢😢
I' so sorry for dr brown her life is just a nightmare , she lived a horrible childhood , when she started to love her mother and forgive her , she dispointed her and boom died, the man she felt in love with him between a day in a night he died to what else for this poor girl , i'm just sorry
Freddie Highmore is definitely my favorite and if they ever need a body double, my son could be him and they are also the same age! It's crazy how much they look alike 🥰🙂
1:04 - 1:08 Exactly. That's why killing Nic/Neil was an interesting but devastating decision...I just now began S.4 and I am mourning...it is not the same.... (Been bawling my eyes out of more than an hour...)
Being a resident of San Jose, CA; I crack up how unrealistic the outside scenes are. They didn't work very hard in finding out about our fair city, such as restaurant names, climate, etc. But hey, it's Freddy Highmore. I love him like a son.
I used to love this show, Shaun using his abilities to help people in a different way, was awesome. Now it's about feelings, reminds me of touched, great show, till feelings ended it

I was literally thinking the same thing lol

Yes that true
It's not unusual for the USA to appropriate shows from other countries, and try to discredit the originals. It's in their DNA

Yep. And I prefer mini series vs soap opera style dramas.
Killing Melendez was a fatal flaw. Tanked the whole show. I still watch because I’m invested but the show has gone way downhill.
I agree, and their stated reason for doing it couldn't be more lame.
They literally could’ve killed off anyone else other than Clair or Shaun and I think it would’ve worked but Melendez just killed the show.
it was an incredibly stupid move !! it forever changed the show and not for the better !
