I have actually really enjoyed the ship, if you managed to get lucky or got the new pirate commander, it works really well on this ship. I believe it pen is also a lot higher or decently higher then Kutuzov with it's AP. You did knock out a Flandre turret at 12 km, and I myself with the pirate commander who has Piercer and punch through, have citadeled some BB, reliably at 12-13 km, and some cruisers up to 15 km. For inspos I run Lutjens and Reigerwald to maximize the AP Damage along with the Pirate commander.
THAT’S where it happened. I referenced taking out a BB’s guns late in the video, but I must’ve missed pointing it out when it happened in the game. Thought it was a different match. But yeah. It did take out the turret. I don’t know how on earth it managed to. I wouldn’t expect that to be a regular thing.
If they made it have short fuzed ap is would be worth it cuz the over pens are pretty much a big reason not to have this ship. Having a plymouth with less barrels and better trajectory would be far more tantilizing
Yeah if I want an AP only and lightly protected CL with smoke I think I am gonna stick with my Plymouth. Better dpm and better performance against DDs.
US T7+ BBs have the best BB dispersion in the game. That Iowa was embarrassing. He didn't land one single hit until the very last minute of the match. It's not like you were even zigging and zagging, just parked in the cap. I've absolutely no idea how he managed to grind to T7 and yet still play like that... As for the ship... pass. Why play this when Plymouth exists or Kutuzov when AL Chapayev exists. If it were a T7 Kronshtadt/Stalingrad, it'd be worth it.
What are you talking about, Iowa has 1.8 Sigma which, even though it has USN dispersion, means it’s statistically worse than ships like Bismarck etc Sorry to bust your balls but Iowa and Missouri in particular have inconsistent accuracy

Personally I believe the ship should have eight kilometer torpedoes
I agree. I’m pretty sure Kutuzov has 8km torps. Why this one doesn’t is beyond me.

Have you tried running VOn Essen as an Inspiration to help with the Pen Angles?
No, but I will. If I had been, I doubt it would’ve helped me sink the Iowa. Make the ricochets on the DDs would’ve been pens though.

Without HE you have no ability to get dot aside from the torpedoes which in their current state are strictly defensive
You will get full value with Lip. This ship is a menace with Lip.

Plymouth’s AP also just seems really cracked. It does more damage than this stuff in my experience.
