Did you see the new DIY spot at the end!?! That video is coming, it's super fun.
i love diy videos
@@kickpushkid1988 I love you!
We need a guy like you in germany 🔥🔥🔥🔥
So cool! Do think it was weaker because you mixed the concrete and water directly in there, as opposed to mixing first and pouring it in?
Another Killer video Fellas. Leave it to Big Al! 💪😂🤘
Zack your killing it dude 🔥🔥
I can't wait to finish my pole jam I have shorts of it uploaded, and I just found this video now perfect ! before I finish it now I know what to do thank you Zack. I dug up an old fence post and stopped working on it for now because i just laid a pavers brick over the bottom it still works, but don't wanna catch the bricks sticking up and crash lol.
I've never seen anyone pour the dry concrete mix directly into the hole before mixing it with water, I'm not sure how you would ensure the concrete gets properly mixed to a good consistency. That could have also had a hand in why it broke away quickly, apart from not allowing enough time to cure! Hopefully it works out better next time though! Pole jams are super fun!
Similar to a fence post
I do it all the time for fence post replacements. Get your post in with some rocks to stabilize, then dump the concrete and hose it down and poke it around with a stick or digging bar. It's not the best method for permanence but it's a good method for quick installs, especially if they aren't guaranteed to survive
No one ever does a DIY Pole jam! So stoked! Thanks ZD!!!
Thanks!
Would have thought he was going to funnel the cement down the pipe to set the rebar. Great job!!!
Big al looks very healthy
Zack you got some badass filming😳🔥
So sick dude! We just put a new pole jam at our DIY and it’s legit the same size and angle of yours. I thought it was gnarly until I saw Al shredding this one so ours is definitely possible 🤘🏽
Can u make a video on how to make a diy flat rail?
Dude you guys are so gnarly🔥🔥
Too dope and can’t wait to see this fixed up and a longer session on it! Your videos are inspiring mane!
Such a fun build!! That spot is really coming together. Can’t wait for your spine video!!
You killed it!
You should try to build some more mellow ride on sort of features like the bluntsteel rails
Something like that coming soon!
you are by faaaaaar my favorite youtuber
Much love!
Can you explain how to ride on pole jam Zack?
Great content as always ! Really happy that i found your channel 🔥✌
I have been wanting to do this but needed a guide, thank you 🙏 awesome video!
Stoked it can help!
Been catching up on your videos absolutely love the “diy”’s
Is it possible to use a hammer drill to drill a big hole for a pole jam? I would wanna make one that’s super mellow and not too steep
Looks fun
So much fun!
You couldn't post this like a week or two ago? 😂 I really like the idea with the rebar, will have to fix up the pole jam we built recently anyway so will add some rebar with liquid nails, thanks! What I was told ages ago before I really got into diying is that concrete for skate obstacles should cure for a week, that seems to really work I've found.
@zackdowdy hey man a bit of an odd question maybe... but are those raw denim jeans? Who makes them? They look awesome !
I'm always on the hunt for some good pants, these are from H&M they are not bad but fade kinda quick.
You guys are fuckin rad! I've never skated a pole jam but it looks so sick
Shoulda mixed the concrete first then poured. Pouring water on dry mix isn't reliable. Either the water won't make it all the way down, or even if it does you can't guarantee even moisture throughout and even drying/curing. The rebar isn't really needed and it's more reliable to just put the pole deeper in the concrete. Any tiny movement between the pole and the rebar is going to create cracks. I would have made basically a 1 ft cubed block of concrete with the pole set all the way down into it and definitely poured the concrete wet, not dry.
Love it
Yo you think you could try and make a video about making skate spots, but using only the things available to you like stuff you find as in pallets and polls and finding ways to decently secure pole coping in a ditch without concrete and stuff?
That might be a challange but I love the idea of this!
Yeah like I have a pallet at home that I wanna turn into a fun box or something but idk how
Where is this spot at ?
💯💯💯
The Elephant was too heavy for that pole jam.
HAHA, truth!
you guys have a cool spot right there :D clean your lens!!
It's a scratch :( hopefully can a replacement lens soon - so expensive.
Looked like the way u put the concrete in the hole befor mixing it wit water, plus that abit of a tank
Chris cole haha
GO SKATE TREASURE ISLAND DIY PARK
what if u don't have anywhere to build diy spots
Then you’re fugged
Do It Yourself! I build a lot of spots on my own, it's actually really nice to not have anyone telling you what's right or wrong. Start small then get your experience for bigger projects
No more skills no more thrills the silly gun ok
