i grew up with fire drills they used to bug me a lot because i was noise sensitive they still are a issue for me but as bad but still i would feel nervous about them i would feel panicky scared i know what to do but i am still afraid of them but i try to do fire drills at home so that way i feel more easy and calm a bout them but back in the school days they didn't warn me that is when i would see or hear the word fire in my mind before i would hear the alarm i would say a little prayer to help me feel better but if it happens at home i cant turn back to things where that is the issue i have
@TssCman123 In most cases, the FD is there to help conduct the drill. Normally, they are the ones who pull, ensure a proper evacuation of the facility has taken place, reset the system, and get all the kids back in. If the school didn't do so well, the FD would probably do another drill to ensure everybody knows how to get out quickly and in an orderly manner. I believe the fog machine was to help both the teacher and students learn an alternate escape route.
I had the same fire alarms at Liberty Elementary School when i was a kindergarden i had the Siemens Ummts and they were so loud like crazy and the pull stations i had i think it was Siemens Msi 10b or the cerberus pyrotronics Ms501 at my Elementary school entrance

My elementary school had an Edwards Integrity, my middle school had a Simplex TrueAlert, and my high school (which I'm going to in August) also has an Edwards Integrity, which sucks because I hate that one!!! The one at my middle school was ok, but I remember when one day at my elementary school in 4th grade, I was in music class and the music teacher said "Ok, get out your whiteboards and markers." After I got my stuff, I sat on the floor and the next thing I know, there was VERY loud beeping. Once I heard the first beep, I jumped and I almost had a heart attack. It was so loud that it nearly killed my ears. And that was when I couldn't stand the alarms anymore. Ever since that day, I was scared. I was fine during grades before, but in 4th grade on April...I'm gonna say the 19th, although I may be incorrect, I was done with them. I couldn't stand them any longer. DANG!!! I hate it when they're so loud. I mean...yeah, they have to be loud that way everybod can hear them, but I just wish that they weren't that loud. Also, in my chorus class (fast forward to April 26th in 8th grade), we had auditions for the spring chorus concert and people were audition to play drums (I didn't though) and a few seconds later I saw the alram flashing. I thought I was tripping for a second but then I glanced at it again and a second later, I got up right out of my seat and covered my ears because it was about to beep. Usually, they would give me headphones, but they didn't that time, which was annoying. That's how bad the alarms are to me. They almost make me cry because they're SOOOOOO loud and my ears are actually VERY sensitive to loud noises, so...hopefully in high school they'll work something out for me about the alarms.
