Very well done. Thank you! The pedal manufacturers don’t do good job explaining, “If you make this adjustment, this is how you affecting the feel/performance.” As such, the player starts experimenting & can easily get the pedal so out of whack that they get frustrated.
I agree, I think instead of releasing pedal wit even less adjustments and charging more for it, pearl should have made a series of videos with their artists showing how they set their pedals and why. they could have even charged for it like a course or something if they wanted the money. I'm glad you found the video useful!
I finally got my darwins factory settings were good but I decided to try your all purpose setting the only difference I did was use the heavier beater WOW! WHAT A DIFFERENCE ! Pedal is glued to the bottom of my foot thank you so much for these starting points
I think you might've just sold me on these... most likely the strap version. I've played mostly dw5000 pedals and after some time away from a drumset, I'm ready to start getting into it again.

But they are very customisable, so when you configure your pedal on their website (see my video on how to order one) then you can add extras to chop and change the pedal and experiment over time! Thanks! I have a few different pairs of hats depending on what setup I’m using, but for most of this video it’s the 14” Istanbul Agop Xist power hats. For the rest it’s the 14” Istanbul Agop traditional light hats
