Hi there Thomas, thank you for stopping by and watching my running of the Scania R620 truck. I really enjoyed the scale driving and practicing of the reversing with the trailer. Best wishes to you and the family 😉😊😎
Hi there Dirk, thank you for watching, I appreciate you being the first to comment. 😉😊. I just couldn’t contain myself anymore and had to run it. It was so tricky doing the reversing, so life like to the real truckers. Best wishes 😉😊🖐️
Hi there, thank you so much for stopping by, watching and leaving me a super comment. The truck has the Tamiya MFC-03 multi function unit, it’s the sound, lights and ESC unit all in one. It’s been a real labour of love, I wasn’t going to run it, but curiosity got the better of me and I wanted to see how the reversing with a trailer is performed 😊😊best wishes 😉😊
Hi there and thank you for watching and leaving me such a great comment, so glad you like it. Going to try and either purchase some scale cones or makes some for some manoeuvring challenges, just like a HGV test (we’ll sort of 🤣😂🫣) best wishes 😉😊
Hi there Mattias, thank you for watching, I appreciate you popping by. Once I got over the initial fear of damaging this model, I really started to enjoy the scale driving and scale manoeuvring, so much so, I didn’t want to put the controller down 😂🤣😂. Best wishes to you and the family 😉😊
Hi there Tibster, thank you for tuning in, I appreciate you stopping by and leaving me a lovely comment. I was thinking about the scene in TopGear with Jeremy, Richard and James, the bit where James is talking about turning right to go left and turning left to go right….making me chuckle to myself. Thought I’d better start doing some running videos (now that I’ve run out of RC’s to build 😂🤣). Take care and best wishes to you all 😊😉
John Sir, what a truly amazing gift from a truly amazing being! It’s absolutely awesome in the full sense of the word! You did an amazing job putting this piece of kit together! It looks remarkable. You truly have a gift of assembling these things, that is for sure. The realistic driving experience has got to be one of the best in Rc. I’d be hooked too! Very well done build with a very thoughtful gift from our friend the Rc Elf! Thanks for taking the time to share with us your experience driving this beauty. Not sure how you were able to contain yourself for so long and not operate this beauty! Your a man of impressive will power!🤣 I hope you keep this running from time to time, would love to see it again!! Take good care brother. Best wishes to you and yours as well!👊🏼😎👍🏻
Hi there Robby, thank you so much for watching and leaving me such a lovely comment. I was so, so fortunate to have been gifted this awesome setup. The awesome RC Elf is truly a legend. I think I spent a good 3-4 months assembling this beautiful model, I really wanted the details of this model to shine through. I’ve been so worried about driving this wonderful model, I was concerned about damaging it, but my curiosity got the best of me in the end, I just had to place a battery in and hook everything up for a run. I think the Carson 80T motor is a blessing, as it’s got lots of torque and I think the top speed is just perfect for not being too fast, but enough to provide the scale realism. I will certainly be bringing this back onto UA-cam again, I managed to figure out the lights too, plus the clutch method of feeding in the power. DustyFingersRC has mentioned about getting some scale cones, making a circuit challenge, similar to what HGV drivers would be asked to complete, when performing their HGV test, a kind of manoeuvring challenge. Stay tuned my good friend. Best wishes and blessings to you and the family 😉🖐️😊😎
Hi there, thank you for watching and leaving me a nice comment. This one was an amazing Tamiya to build, it amazes me, how clever the designers are at Tamiya ! 😊😉😊best wishes 😊😉
Oh yeah John that is one scale looking and sounding RC rig! Beautiful buddy! Mr Giz wanted a ride! Lol! Very nice! Thank you buddy and blessings to you and yours 🙏🏼☮️❤️💪🏼
Hi there Mike, thank you for watching, I appreciate you popping by and leaving me a lovely comment. Yeah, Mr Giz was curious to see what was in his territory 🫣🤣. He’s quite brave really, most cats would have ran 🤣😂🤣. Best wishes and blessings to you all 😉😊🖐️😎
You have a really lovely model there John. It’s nice to see it in action, great to watch and some nice driving too. Would be nice to see some of your other wonderful builds stretch their legs also Best wishes and take care
Hi there Peter, thank you for watching, stopping by and leaving me such a lovely comment. I’m on a mission now that I’ve built all the models….a mission to drive them, film them and put them up on UA-cam 😊😊😉😎 I’ll do the best I can to get some more up soon. Best wishes and take care too…😎🖐️😊
Hi there Luke, thank you for watching and leaving me a nice comment, I really appreciate you stopping by. It’s a very complex model, but my curiosity got the better of me and I had to run it. Best wishes to you and the family 😉😊🖐️
That is pretty impressive I have to say, it looks a great model. I am rubbish at towing anything, my brain does not comprehend which way i need to turn the wheel with a trailer so if I have something like this I would be jack knifing all over the show. Top build and running video 👍
Hi there and thank you for stopping by and watching my first run of this amazing model. I’m so fortunate to have this great model and after the initial fear of damaging this model, I manned up and got the controller out and went for it 😉😊😉. I started to enjoy the scale like characteristic’s of this model so much, I was disappointed when the battery went flat 🤣😂🤣. Hoping to get some scale cones and layout a sort of test to manoeuvring this, the kind of thing I’d image full size HGV drivers have to perform. 🫣👀best wishes to you and the family 😊😉
I looks awesome John! Good to see you out making some runs and delivering some fun! You need some tiny road cones to set up around the driveway and have areas to park into and drive around. I don't usually do it, it is easy enough to visualize it all in your head. It is fun to just do some driving and forget about everything else for a while! Helpful hint, find an old pillow and steal the poly-fill stuffing out of it and fill the trailer with it. It will help keep the trailer sides from rattling around and it doesn't weigh hardly anything. You can find it in craft stores too in case you run the risk of catching grief for destroying a random pillow! You can also use bubble wrap but it can make noise too.
Hi Addam, thank you for popping by and watching the Scania truck, I really appreciate it my friend. I thought I’d better start doing some running videos (I’ve also ran out of RC’s to build 🫣🥹). So thought, let get some running, even if it’s basic filming with my phone. Yeah, DustyFingersRC also mentioned about getting some cones and setting up a manoeuvring challenge, just like they would, when you perform a HGV test. I’m guessing that the cones would need to be 50mm high roughly to be scale. Thank you for the great tip, to stop the rattling of the trailer. That is a cracking idea, I’m sure that the budget from the chancellor (Mrs) would stretch to an old pillow being sacrificed in the science of squeak removal 🤣😂🤣. Thank you once again, thinking about what to run next. Best wishes and blessing to you all 😉😊😉
Hi there Jeremy, thank you for stopping by, I really appreciate it. Yeah, I thought I’d better start getting some running videos up, of the models build. (I’ve also built all the models, so nothing to build 🫣🥹). I’m hoping to try and get some more running videos of each model. Mr Giz is quite a confident cat. I wish you all the very best 😉😊
Hi there, thank you for watching and leaving me a lovely comment. These are awesome models and if you can get one, please do, you will not be disappointed. I will be using mine, as a scale truck, but I know that @C.K.Hobbyshop has a semi, that he’s speed tests, perhaps not drifting, but still different to what the model was originally designed for. Awesome how our imagination can take this great model in a different direction 😊😉🖐️best wishes 😊😉😎
Love it John! It's weird but there are only a few models that Tamiya make for the North American marketplace. Most of the selection is European and they have A LOT of choices. Wait. What??!!! It DOES say RUNNING video ... lol Caught me off guard there John. lol This is a great looking rig man. This is the type of rig that you just GOT to drive scale. This one is looking pretty darn sweet as well brother. Great build and I love those colors. I tell ya you are backing her in there pretty nicely as well. Really getting the hang of it. Enjoyed watching my friend. I think this one will be enjoyed for a long time to come. :)#rcelf #allstar
Hi there Nick, oh yes, a running video 🤣😂🤣, thought that might surprise a few friends 🖐️😊😉. Thank you for your kind comments, when I built this model, the box art was just right for the rig. I was a bit worried about damaging this one, but in the end, my curiosity got the better of me. I really wanted to check the 80T motor and the 3 speed gearbox, which I think is about right speed wise, but I was so curious in how those real truck drivers reverse these machines into such tight areas, they’ve got such skill. I’m hoping to get some scale cones, or perhaps make some, arrange a kind of drivers test course and do a drivers challenge of some kind. Once I got over the fear of damaging this, I really couldn’t put the controller down, just love the scale like driving. Take care and keep up the great videos. Best wishes to you and the family 😉😊
After working outside all day with the last few hours cleaning a brick weave driveway it was rhe last thing I wanted to see 😂 Seriously though, these trucks always amaze me with the realism and time spent to make them look so good. Your driving is good John and it would be great to see some challenge video's like parking, getting around a challenging corners etc. That would be cool.
Hi Damian LOL!😂🤣😂I hope you managed to clean the driveway well, I’d imagine you might be having to brush in some fresh kiln dried sand (May I suggest the kiln dried sand from Wickes, that also has weed killer built in) 😉😊😉. This was my first time driving this model, I was really worried about damaging it, but curiosity got the better of me, so I thought I’ve got to take it out, see how the 3 speed gearbox and 80T motor perform and some practicing reversing with a trailer. Did you you, the MFC-93 unit uses the trailer switch to select 80% power when no trailer is attached and 100% power when hitched. It took some time to build and paint. I like the idea of an obstacle course, challenge the driving skills, might see if I can get some cones or something to make a course. Best wishes to you and the family, have a well earned beer and put your feet up, after a hard days work 😉😊🖐️😎

Wow John, thats a sweet looking R32 sitting on your driveway 👍 The Scania's not bad looking either 😂😅😂 The maneuvering takes a bit of getting used to especially when in reverse ... takes me back to my younger years when i used to drive them 😂

An R32, along with a GTI are on my exotic car wish list 😉😊😂🤣, still, I thankful for it, as it’s an auto. Hi there Bob, thank you for popping by and watching my Scania R620. I was worried about running this one, as I didn’t want to cause any damages. But with the 80T Carson Truck Puller motor, it’s nice and scale in speed, so thankfully, it’s nice a stable. I managed to slightly tweak the gearbox servo to ensure good gear engagement and it’s now running in all three gears well. I had so much fun! I didn’t want to pack it away! I’ve just remembered how to switch on the lights etc…, so will look to do another run video to show those, I’ve also had suggestions of a manoeuvring challenge, the kind seen when you take the HGV test.
