Antonio Pierce the interim Raiders coach, coached Jack Jones at Long Beach Polytechnic and Arizona State. Wild to see that Bill gave him up, only for him to go to the Raiders and look like a stud. Seems like Antonio Pierce knew exactly how to use him. Those interceptions he had during the Chargers game and the Chiefs game were next level. Especially with the pick six against the Chargers on that screen pass. He recognized the play so early and broke on the ball so fast it looked nearly superhuman in real time.
Watching it live, he just comes out of nowhere and when watching the replay's you can see he identified the play almost instantly and was breaking on the ball/reacting to the play before almost anyone on the offense. Assuming the Raiders owner doesn't do something spectacularly stupid, and Antonio Pierce gets the official Raiders head coach job he definitely deserves, Jack Jones could be a serious force next season for the Raiders.
That pick 6 you showed Jack Jones make on Aaron Rodgers at Lambo is almost identical to what he did to Mahomes in the Christmas game against the Chiefs. For as good as he's covering those receivers, I honestly think he's actually purposely playing just soft enough to bait them into thinking they can squeeze the ball in there and then jumping the route. But you're right, his reaction time and instincts make him play like he's moving absurdly fast. Because he is able to break on the ball so quickly and position himself in just the right place. tbh you wouldn't even be able to pull of those kind of interceptions with just raw speed alone. His anticipation and positioning cuts far more time off his play on the ball than one could ever beat with just raw speed alone. It's also clear he absolutely studies a lot of film. It's not just instincts. It's game knowledge and deliberate preparation for that specific offense as well. You don't pull a pick 6 like that one against the Chargers off of a screen pass without seeing that play on film. If he did, that would be like rainman levels of football IQ.

Anyone that saw this kids HS tape knew he had the potential for elite lvl progression. Don't forget, he took almost 2 years off from football between USC and Arizona State. Much of his early Arizona State film is muddied by this, I believe. You might say that he is finally operating on all cylinders again and like you stated in the video, progressing rapidly given the coaching resources that are now available to him in NE.

Right I didn't want to mention it in the video, but I did know all about the off the field and juco years. But I LOVE that his talents are being fully optimized under bill! couldn't think of a better landing spot for him, and can't wait to see where he's at in the next few seasons!

Can't believe I haven't seen this video, gotta be the last to the party. Really, really well done, my dude. I was super excited about Jack Jones when we drafted him. He plays off man with such incredible confidence. I agree, it's probably going to get him burned a time or two but man, if he can stay disciplined and learn how to best harness his instincts.... dude's going to be a lot of fun to watch for years.
I love all your stuff but feel free to keep the Pats content coming. It's been a slow and painful start but don't sleep on these boys.... anything can happen after the bye!

He's fantastic in off man coverage. ...great corner already but can't wait to see how good he can be...especially with Gonzo now probably taking #1 receiver and Jack taking #2 or 3 guy

@@arana2x978 aye man I appreciate that!! Hopefully he goes out and balls out in london and they can really lean on the run game and Greg more because that’s where I really think this offense could thrive!! So if they show signs of that I would be more than happy to talk about it!!
And definitely when browning gets back healthy as well!!
