Even its cute, they still caused massive damage unto the world and probably killed a lot of people due to the constant flooding all around. Eventually the world would be flooded like in the story of Noah as years passed by.
@@rogueascendant6611 I like the way the characters are "humanized", usually protagonists would never do something like they did. That's what I like in Shinkai's movies.

When translating songs, syllables may get distorted, thus making it much more difficult than just translating some words, but you clearly saw past that and made an excellent English version! its so flawless and clearly sung! your voice is perfect for this song! :')

Saw the film last month and the scene where grand escape plays is absolutely breathtaking! One of the most visually stunning sequences in all of Shinkai's films. When I heard the first few notes of grand escape play I knew something beautiful was about to happen. XD

@@mrj6073 Saw it in both sub and dub. And they use the Japanese version of the songs in both. Although in the dub during the credits, an English version of 'Is There Still Anything That Love Can Do' plays. The translation for those lyrics were cleverly worded to work well and it sounded great. Maybe they didn't do it with the other ones because they couldn't quite get the translated lyrics to sound right and retain the meaning. But that's just my guess.
