Examining the nature of the beast.
#SecondNature
Love the topic, footage, new style of editing, and narration. The only thing missing is Danielle's amazing artwork. 🤷♂️
@felix smith Glad to hear it, Felix, thanks!

Oh. Never mind then. 😏
Yeah, the art was spot on.
@@TheJurnalyst Absolutely! And thanks for stopping by!
I grew up in turkey and my happiest memories where swimming at the beach at night with my sister and watch the sea glow we thought it was magic
Nerdeydiniz
That's the beauty of both science and life.
We get a red glow in Southern California, where I grew up.
The video editing on this looks stellar! Love the topic and footage! Keep up the fantastic work!
Loved the synthwave soundtrack. Really 80's
This is a video meant to be watched at night with all the lights off.
You sir, have just convinced me to hold off on watching this until later tonight
Just did that, and you are so right, it looked amazing shining through the darkness
Excellent call! Turning the lights off made this way more intense
That's what am doing now
Ok, só this episode was amazing, but I miss the drawing backup
Marcos Antonio I get that. Not sure how you’d draw bioluminescence, but I get it.
I guess that's "Second Nature" for you.
@the truth you should check out our other channel that has all the full drawings.
maybe she ain’t got time for than anymore
She still does the drawings in normal Animalogic videos, just not the "Second nature" videos.
The editing on this video was beyond brilliant and award worthy! Wow! You guys have seriously upgraded!
the editing and synthwave combo made this video absolutely stellar. love the look!
Siri told me who the artist was. So stoked.
Yes!!! So many times over, yes. I LOVE bioluminecense. One of the coolest things in nature in my opinion. That doesn't really single it out though, as nature is just stuffed full of awesome stuff.😁👍
'Don't trust light "
That's what L said

@@ayonwahid8222 You mind enlightening an uncultured swine like myself?
@@benjamins9121 You watch anime? its a reference to an anime called "Death Note"
@@ayonwahid8222 Ah, I know of it but I never watched it. Thanks bro
I never thought I'd be cheering "CONVERGENT EVOLUTION!"
but here we are.
I don't know if this was Dylan, Cat, and/or Jim that put together this compilation of clips quotes and background visuals but kudos, major kudos. I am amazed you came up with so many themed visuals and funny quotes. This channel usually seems to highlight Danielle's talents in a very sharp and skilled way. While this didn't take away from her, it really showcased the skills behind the scenes.
As someone that has built low light product photography studio in the past... you nailed that shot too. Very well done :-)
-Jake
Loved this new style, especially the clips of old timey science/exploration videos. Great stuff!
That 80s background music in the beginning is awesome! Please use more of that type of music in future episodes!💖💖 loving the editing and archive footage used in this episode. Excellent job Danielle and the Animalogic team! Keep it up!👍🏼👍🏼 love from Malaysia✌🏼✌🏼
WOW. It was truly amazing to see a star fish swimming. All this time I thought they were a static creature that barely moved at all and were hard as a rock. Thank you Animalogic for teaching me something new!
I love how you guys intermingle the cheesy old narratives and footage with the show. It's fantastic :)
Danielle is so adorable, and this channel is refreshing. Thank you to everyone involved in making these vids possible!
Man I love this channel! Great work Danielle!
This was definitely the coolest video I've seen of this channel with its montage of images and sound. Loved it. But, in saying that, I can watch any style of video by Danielle. Her enthusiasm is infectious and she has an adorable cheeky smile!
Just so you know, I adore you. I do want to always see some of your art work. It's just brilliant. But love everything you are doing have done, and will do!
Lighten up everyone, it's friday.
Ayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
The new style and sound of second nature is fantastic!
I love the upgrade! I've followed for years and it keeps getting better!
One of your best episodes so far. Wonderful work!
This was more then just amazing! Thank you danielle for working so hard on this with you and your team! We all really appreciate this amazing content! 😊🌿
"Don't eat me, I'm FABULOUS"
Keeping with the underwater theme, lateral lines would be a fascinating topic
This topic is amazing. Your work helps me knowing more about the creature all over the world and also their characteristics, skills and also their role in the environment.Maybe next time can you make a video about the plants that using their body to catch and lure insect.
1:43 Oh you made me happy there =) And the techno music was, as always on this channel, a very fitting choice.
“Females use the lure not just to attract prey, but mates!”
Middle Aged Men: Ha what’s the difference, am I right fellas?
thats something that Gruncle Stan would say.
I actually like the idea of video presentation, Danielle! Congrats!!
I typically don’t comment on videos but just wanted to say this video was great. Previous videos were great but “Second Nature” feels fresh and well produced. Keep up the amazing work!
I like the idea of Dashlane so Google isn't storing all your passwords
I love it. I love the music too. What is it?
My 5 year-old boy complained that he didn't see enough Danielle, and there was no drawing. But you know, he's 5.
If you are interested in the music, search 'synthwave' or 'retrowave' here on UA-cam.
Is no one going to acknowledge this dope music!?!
This is just awesome! Can you maybe do the black mamba or cottonmouth sometime in the future?
Luciferin & Luciferase 🤘 Animalogic keeps getting better and better!
The name Lucifer means light bringer.
Luciferase🤘🏼🤣 so much love for Danielle!
Another great vid!
Greetings from Minneapolis MN ❄
You guys are killing it!
Since it's the topic of the next video, do the snail-zombiefying worm, it's too horrifying to exclude.
Greetings from nova Scotia, thank you for another great video, I love your style and diction..I am absolutely struck by how many awesome qualities you are blessed with!!!! What an amazing person you are. Thank you for your time and attention to this comment.
intro music was Synthetic Life for anyone wondering.
NEVER. END. THIS. SERIES!!!
I got the strongest Strager Things vibes from this video
Mostly the music
Same!
Me too from the starting music
Great job collaborating with NOAA OER! They have great footage from the Okeanos Explorer, Deep Discoverer, and Serios! Love watching their live streams and I’m glad that you were able to use it to put together a great story!
Absolutely Love Bioluminescence and Biofluorescence, it's one of my all time favorite thing to learn about. David Attenborough made a lovely documentary about it called Life That Glows atleast I'm pretty sure that's what it was called, it covers everything from bugs to plants, fungus, sea life, microscopic life and it's about an hour long.
Pretty sure I found it on UA-cam at some point, really worth checking out
😄👍
I love the new video format.. simply amazing..👍
Awesome episode! Move over David Attenborough, this generation has Danielle Dufault.
Lol I wouldn’t go that far, but yes awesome video.
Been there. Seen it. Impressive. One of the things you should see before you die. The journey though, is a pain but worth it. - Waitomo Caves 2014
Why do i watch animologic

Love this new style seems like a high bugget tv show
I love how you say "devour them"
This is your best video yet
I was just looking into Anglerfish so when I found this video from you guys I was quite excited! 🌟
What a brilliant video edition
This longer video was great! Had no idea Fireflies were such canny hunters either, what a cool fact.
1:42
Satan teaches animals to glow
I caught that as well, notice the chemicals name root word is Lucifer and she conveniently throws the devil horns while saying it! WOW
Well, Lucifer means "Bearer of light"
its in the jab supposedly
Great video! It's brilliant in sparking curiosity.
really wonderful documentary and also has interesting subjects to get with it
Love that title!
You always choose the coolest animals and aspects of nature to make videos on.
Those comb jellies were so cool!
I LOVE this video. Partly bc i love bioluminescence. But the editing and the difference attitude or vibe was great.
So glad you guys are doing well.
Amazing episode thank you
Duuude, this is so AWESOME.
Excellent work.
LOVE this!
Amazing video! It really shows that all of you put great effort into your videos. Also, I have a suggestion for an animal, the vulture bee. Thanks!
This was a cool episode. Got a Vsauce3 vibe to it, but with more amazing animal facts
Loved the music in this!
You guys are just the best!
Whoa... The production on this one!
The video was awesome! Greetings from Brazil!
Amazing video! Please keep doing them~
My whole summer in Recombinant DNA class is trying to incorporate Luciferase gene to bacterial plasmid. One of my best experience and really cool seeing them glow.
Plz next episode we need to hear about Aardvark. Thanks for sharing these wonderfully knowledge.
I see a credits section but no mention of music or composers in it. just keen to know as the music at the start was dope.
awesome work!!
Awesome editing
Who else noticed my mans getting it in at 0:45 seconds 😂
Yo I’m loving the editing in this video 10/10
Thanks for your video I enjoyed!
This old-timey 80s format is amazing!!
2:56 Blue light is at the upper end of the spectrum, not the lower end. Red is at the lower end of the spectrum.
NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERD
Awesome video!
Is there a UA-cam award for thumbnails? If there is, it's for y'all
Beautiful job 🤗
This video was epic! Thanks!
Bioluminescence is one of my favorite things about the creatures and other life forms of our planet.
There are So many fascinating things that plants and animals can do, i find myself repeatedly captivated by Tropical Reef and Deep Ocean life. It's often more amazing than Plant, Fungus and Insect life, but really there are amazing things of Nature everywhere if you look hard enough.
😄👍
I love Animalogic, but this was especially great.
Love thé épisodes. Takes me back to my high school biology classes
I like the 60's kind of video parchments in the video 😊
saved to fav's, this videos was great.
Hi Danielle, enjoy your videos thanks
Great program
That retro beat is fire 👍
The intro is the same theme that mamamax has been using lately. I feel like i should be uneasy and disturbed while watching that intro
Great informational video as always but I hoped to see the firefly squid in the video, they’re pretty beautiful to look at
Hey guys, happy to see the new set of thoughts. But dont make the background dark!
Some of the retro audio clips made statements about the intensity of light. They were immediately following statements about bioluminescence, which made them seem like they could apply in context. But I think the retro clips were not meant to convey information at all. Kinda muddied the waters a little bit. Anyway - Thanks for the episode Danielle!
