I met Christine in McKinney, Texas, 10 years ago, while I was waiting on her in a fitting room at a Chico’s ladies clothing store. She was warm, friendly, beautiful, and just a delightful woman. I had not yet seen Duck Dynasty at that time and put the pieces together months later. She had asked me to go get her husband, Si, so he could come and look at what she had tried on. I went and got the bearded man with the plastic tea cup in his hand and I silently wondered if “Si” was short for psychotic. 😂 I realized later after watching Duck Dynasty that it was true! 😂 I love 🇺🇸 America’s favorite Uncle. Long live Uncle Si Robertson! God bless him and his precious wife Christine.
My Papaw did the SAME thing with his tea glass, but she usually watched him so closely, he didn't have to. It used to make me SO mad. Once I grew up, I realized IT WAS HER JOY IN LIFE to be ABLE to serve him. He adored her as well. They were married 75 years and slept in the same bed every single night until near the end when they had a very few hospital stays. They left a Godly legacy that I can only hope to repeat in a small way.🧡💫
75 years? Wow! That's just amazing. My grandparents celebrated 53 years together earlier this year. Unfortunately my grandmother passed away In July of this year a few months ago. My Pappaw has never been the type to show emotions and I don't think I've ever seen the man shed a tear In all of the years they raised my sister and I but my grandmother's passing completely broke him and rightfully so. He's almost 80 and still works 14 hours a day In construction. God bless you Bethany! I'm 34 and personally I think these types of relationships and marriages are a thing of the past Unfortunately. People just give up on each other so easily now. Just fits In the "Throw Away" society these days.
My grandparents are the same way. High school sweethearts. Still together 67 years later. Can recall many visits where Grandma would tell us all we could make our own lunch then walk over to Grandpa and ask what he wanted so she could make it for him.

My prayer for the young man going through these marriage issues is that he let's God do what he does. Let no man separate what God has brought together 🙏🏼 if this marriage is Of God, let God shine through the rough times as well as the smooth. In the military we had a saying... "That which doesn't kill us, makes us stronger." And since the day I gave my life to Jesus, it hasn't been all peaches and cream but knowing that I'm on the right track for once is the best feeling in the world! I found a way to beat death and Heaven, here I come! I'll be praying for you my man, but you need to pray like you've never prayed before and look for God in this situation, because I promise you that He's there.
