      Same. I dropped 30 pounds this last year. My 3 mile went from 33 minute to 23. My longest run so far is 7 miles at 8 min mile pace. I have pretty bad asthma and never thought it would be possible. Getting better still and I feel great.

    Tip to anyone like me who can't afford to take Strong Green's and Strong Red's every single day: I take it on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Even at only 3 days a week versus 7, I can still tell a HUGE difference in my gut health. Absolutely amazing product, tad expensive BUT worth every penny, so just use it every other day to help your bank account.

    Great video as always Nick! Just wanted to share a side note on your explanation of the anaerobic system. The lactic acid isn’t actually the energy source that fuel you. It’s the waste product of the breakdown of muscle glucose into a chemical energy compund called ATP. So «lactic treshold» actually refers to the body’s ability to tolerate bigger amounts of waste product, aka you can run at higher paces for longer without without bonking out. Some of my information might not be accurate as I just recently started to study this my self. Very fascinating stuff! As always, great content and amazing work on everything you do! Keep it up💪🏻

    • @EgeOnatDoguslu
      @EgeOnatDoguslu 2 роки тому +1

      Base (easy high volume) training is good for two things: 1) Your body adopts to running and you won't get hurt easily 2) You build your aerobic base. So, when you incorporate fast stuff you'll have the ability push yourself further and absorb all the intensity which will make you faster

    • @EgeOnatDoguslu
      @EgeOnatDoguslu 2 роки тому +4

      I'd suggest doing 3-4 mile easy runs per day and maybe doing a 7-8 miler on Sundays and eventually kicking up the volume (not the intensity). Once you've done 8-10 weeks of easy stuff, you can get some fast stuff (tempo/threshold) in and maybe choose a race to prepare for a PB :)
