cedonullidude+ Sad how true that might be... Tom definitely deserves better. But maybe him not being an elite is why he’s so special and lovable! Most Hollywood stars are straight up jerks. Tom definitely sticks out and is separated from the pack. Which is why I find him to be one of the most righteous guys on the planet. The dude is just full of life and happiness. Not to many those floating around these days lol
Tom Wilson played 7 characters in the back to the future trilogy. And he made each character unique and believable. It’s not talked about enough that he’s an incredibly versatile actor
I think he mean Tom was played as biff in different age biff 1955 count 1 Biff 1985 - 2 Biff 1985A-3 Biff 2015-4 Griff-2015-5 Buford - 1885 -6 That was 6 how did him can count to 7 🤔🤔😅
Totally! He was so good in any one given role in the series, but to play 7 different shades of the same character type is way tough, he was just fantastic
What comes to acting, the skill, yes. I agree. All 3 movies, i always amazed his ability to perform, how clear his style was, so much work put to his profession and it showed.
Brandon Evans I agree. If u watch it today, Michael J. Fox was basically “Alex Keaton” in the 50s lookin’ for his parents. Tom really had to dig deep to portray a bully, make him funny, and kinda likeable at the same time. No easy trick.
You can tell that Tom REALLY impressed Dave, as well as the crowd. He totally won them over. In fact, his personality and sense of humour reminds me of Jim Carrey.
In the first interview I think Dave isn’t that impressed. Dave has a way with people he’s not that keen on and the first interview to me shows that. The second one though, Dave is happier about him being on.
Everything about this man says kindness, charm, and ease. I like Tom F. Wilson not only for his genuine kind nature, but how he proves that you CAN be a Christian and be in the entertainment industry. (He's been Catholic since childhood.) Plus his Crispin Glover expression is so accurate it's painful. 😆
In all 3 movies, he shows what a great actor he is, because he always plays more than one role. Remember, he was middle-aged Biff and teen Biff even in I; then in II, he was 3 different ages; and he is hilarious as Mad Dog Tannen! Another personality altogether from the other characters of himself! Very underrated for his magnificent contributions to those films!
Jon Dunmore absolutely, but I feel watching when I was a kid, mad dog was the one who really seemed the most intimidating and at the same time impressive, even though as a kid the part 3 was my least favorite of the trilogy, still is, but I’ve come to appreciate it so much more and am still impressed with how unrecognizable Tom Wilson is while doing that performance
@Wally Prichard One of his most famous Spongebob voices was Flats the fish, that bullies Spongebob in boating school. In the earlier seasons. lol If you go to tomwilsonusa.com you can see his pop art.
It’s the alternate timeline where Young Biff is nice and successful, after Marty decided to go back and fix the Tannen family’s history of acting like buttheads 😄
There is nobody on this planet that could have played Biff better than Tom Wilson .. he was so freaking PERFECT in that role .. amazing actor for sure.
Tom is one of those celebrities I actually do wish I could meet in real life, because he just seems like such a genuinely nice, funny, and talented human being.
Honestly rewatching BTTF3, after the first 5 minutes I forgot it's Biffs great grandfather and just saw Beaufort Tanned. Definitely not just an actor that plays himself.
I would love to meet this guy so I can ask him "what's Michael J Fox like?". Tom seems like a genuine person, very down-to-earth. Best line of the interview: "Dave, more than that, people need B2TF III." What a way to go out of an interview!
When I got older, I realized how HARD Tom carried the BTTF trilogy, he was very versatile and fun to watch -- even as a villain. Check out his role as Mr. Fredericks on Freaks and Geeks, I personally feel that was his most underrated role.
Toms second appearance was really good. He made David laugh genuinely. I actually think Tom could have been a successful stand up comedian, had he not put all his effort in the movie business
Tom is the man of 1000 faces. Every one of his characters in the trilogy looks and feels unique, and all so different than the actual person. Wonderfully skilled actor.
Tom F Wilson - a lovely living legend! Extremely talented, yet down to earth, and still around being awesome! Watch his documentary just out...fantastic human beings! 🥰❤️💯
I remember when I was nine years old, in 1998, and was so scared by Rich Biff in Back to the Future 2 that I couldn't see those films for years. Wish I'd had the internet to see what a nice guy he is and it was just acting :)
He is so funny and what a, not good, great talk show guest. He's engaging, impressive, and the audience is immediately responsive. There's no awkward periods of silence. This was thoroughly enjoyable.
this was a really cool interview. I know it's mostly scripted but Tom Wilson in real life seems to be a real all around good person and actor. in this interview, he seemed really confident, clever, and putting a great personality to a bully's character. It's fun to see the other side of the character.
BTTH is my favorite movie and Thomas Wilson and his character, Biff, was just as important to the film's success as Crispin Glover as George McFly was. His acting and interpretation of a memorable 50s bully was spectacular. Unfortunately, he did such a great job with the role and his character was so memorable that it kind of kept him from getting main roles later in his career.
Hes such a down to earth guy. I reckon he had a lot of fun playing a bully. He really embodied the character also managed to give him slot of depth. You get to see him as a bully, bullied and weak, old, savage, bitter, goofy.
When I watch this interview, sometimes it's hard to believe to match Mr. Wilson to Biff, because we know he was like a huge bully in Back to the Future, It's the first interview I have seen with Mr. Wilson, such a delightful person, I wish he was casted more. Unless he didn't want to be? I dunno, anyway, thanks for the video. His talent is great for an actor and as a person. Kind of like a comedian, but a great soul, you can tell he is nervous in the video. I would be. Talking to Mr. Letterman, an Icon, anyone would get nervous.
I hardly ever see anyone talk about his role in the Wing Commander games, He played Todd (Maniac) Marshal who was the wingman of Christopher (Mavrick) Blair who was played by Mark Hamill. Tom Wilson did a great job in that game when they went to Live Action cut scenes.
Tom Wilson looks younger in this clip after filming "BTTF" than when he played "Biff" as a teenager in the movie. But, having the same voice in this video is making it super creepy. He was great in the movie though, and in these "Letterman" clips Wilson's showing himself to be auditioning as a really good comedic actor.
I’m still trying to figure out why this dude never made it big? He’s a gifted actor!
Because Marty went back and stopped Biff giving the Almanac to himself.
Probably didn’t say the right things, didn’t go along with the Hollywood system approved causes, didn’t grovel enough.
cedonullidude+ Sad how true that might be... Tom definitely deserves better. But maybe him not being an elite is why he’s so special and lovable! Most Hollywood stars are straight up jerks. He did great job (I particularly liked the Mad Dog Tannen character in BTTF III) and he comes across as a genuine decent guy.
He played Coach Fredricks in Freaks and Geeks. The character was becoming more prevalent in the show before it was canceled.
Tom Wilson played 7 characters in the back to the future trilogy. And he made each character unique and believable. It’s not talked about enough that he’s an incredibly versatile actor
what are you talking about he played three characters. Biff, Griff, and Mad Dog Tannen

Old Biff, Griff, Trump Casino Biff, Bufford, Supervisor Biff, Young Biff, Pussified Waxer Biff= 7.
The best actor of the whole series!!!! He doesn’t get enough recognition!!!!

best villain makes the best movie. history proven.
He’s great in it but Christopher Lloyd outshines everyone.
@@thesho21 But he had huge advantage over other actors in this movie. So, everything considered; Wilson > Lloyd.
He somehow looks younger in this interview than he did in the original Back to the Future.
I was just thinking that.
I was just thinking that! He looks at least 5 years younger even than when he played a TEEN in BTTF.
Stress from refilming the movie and fear of being fired. He looks much younger in the Stoltz videos out there and still photos.
Theres only a 5 year gap. So I'm sure he hardly aged a bit. He still looks good today at 61 years old. 🥰
I almost mistook him for Arnold Schwarzenegger
"Get the hell out of my car old man!!"
Yes 😂. I love that line.
“You always did have a way with women”
“The manure. I remember that.”
You can tell that Tom REALLY impressed Dave, as well as the crowd. He totally won them over. In fact, his personality and sense of humour reminds me of Jim Carrey.
Was just thinking the same thing!!!
In the first interview I think Dave isn’t that impressed. Dave has a way with people he’s not that keen on and the first interview to me shows that. The second one though, Dave is happier about him being on.
Jim Carrey? He's just like Jim. Without the insane talent.
He’s the nice Biff at the end of Back to the Future LOL
Yea when he became a grovelling servant he was super nice
Not so much "nice" Biff as "sycophant" Biff.
He's just finishing the second coat now... No, wait, not quite... 😁😁😁😁😁😁
Would you ever think this is biff? Good actor.
or "maddog tannen" :D
epo1980 or “Griff Tannen”😂
He still posts vlogs on UA-cam, I love keeping up with him, he's such a genuine and kind person.

He's actually a lovely guy it's amazing how good of an actor he really is! From bully Biff to this really nice charming guy! Brilliant
Ever hear his questions song ?
Does he nail that Crispin Glover impersonation or what?
Hell ya he does 👏
I’m surprised there more comments about that. That was a perfect impersonation.
and then totally butchered the arnie impression
YES. 👏🏻😂
I feel he shows his acting skills with Mad Dawg, he’s like a completely different unrecognizable person

Mad dog...
I hite that name..
I honestly thought it was a different actor
He deserved another big role in another movie. He was very very good in bttf
I can't believe this is the same man who played Biff! Polar opposite personalities! That is the sign of an excellent, top rate actor!
He won that crowd over!
Very charming.
He's so good at being mean Biff, that's weird to see him being funny.
He always reminded me of the lead singer of Madness, Suggs McPherson.
JT Michaelson I too remember seeing “Our House” video in the mid-late 80’s and thinking Hey that’s Biff! 😂

Netflix needs to do a TV series called Biff with him playing the same character.
No!
Tom Wilson is quick witted, and a way underrated actor.

one of the big actors who did not divorced their spouses.. thats why i admire him
He wouldn't be allowed to do that, listen to the interview why .
I loved that when he did Arnold. "It's the best movie of all times!!!"
One of my favorite film characters of all time he was just brilliant. Referring to all his rolls in the Back To The Future trilogy.
Funny guy. He has done some stand-up gigs where he poked fun at himself and his role in BTTF.
He is very humble. His eyes reminds me Peter Weller. Awesome actor. Great tenor voice.
I like how his face goes back to a look of almost shock as he’s asked a question. No trace of Biff Tannen in there whatsoever.
Thomas Wilson's Biff in BTTF III is memorable
