Kwanga in English is fermented cassava, for those who don’t know.
I think the meats are slightly different though. “Ntaba” is goat meat. Suya is more like beef. Our equivalent to suya would be more like “kamundele”.

I agree with you on the oil and it made sense to me when someone on tiktok said that there aren't enough olive trees in the world to produce the amount of oil we consume...yes olive oil is healthy but what are we actually consuming. and palm oil is actually really delicious.

I think you meant sunflower, rapeseed oil etc because those ones are not natural but olive oil is actually just as natural as palm, palm kernel and coconut oils. In fact the process to make it at home is very similar to how palm oil is made

The bumps on your eyelid are most likely milia. It is when there is a. Ukld up of protein, mainly keratin, dead skin cells, under the skin. You can do chemical peels, laser and other treatments but honestly when I had them, I just got a need poked a hole in the bump gently and squeezed the stuff out without any issues and they havrnt returned since which was like 10 years ago lol. Don't copy me though 😅

Hey girl from Birmingham 🥰 as a Congolese we make our cassava leaves with green vegetables & onions. we blend, green belle pepper, courgette, spring onion & leek. can add your fish of choice with palm oil etc. Not sure I will visit anytime soon babe ❤️

The oil part was crazy ! So the other oils are man made ? As an African i still had to step in to say Palm Oil is really bad for the body...yes it has a good taste when added to food but girl the ravages it does to your arteries is something else. Ans even when you eat olive you feel how oily they are...olive oil is 10 times better for health ( not talking about the taste )
According to numerous medical studies, palm oil is very high in saturated fat; saturated fat is bad for you because it is linked to heart disease and other chronic diseases. Olive oil (made naturally from olives) has half the saturated fat as palm oil. But, you decide what is best for your individual health. Love, light, and blessings ❤
Thank you for this comment, I’m glad someone said it - I was with Edwige up until the misinformation about olive oil and palm oil for one’s health. If buying olive oil, it’s best to purchase the extra virgin olive oil version (from a single origin as this guarantees quality) as it’s superior in quality and provides even better health benefits than a regular olive oil and is superior for one’s health than palm oil.
I think everyone’s can believe what they want. My point is who is conducting those research that you say is correct? Palm oil is rich in vitamin E & other natural minerals. Everyone can do what they want. I’m just sharing my truth. What I’m saying is do your own research & don’t relay on white peoples to tell you. Cause all they do is lie to us. Olive oil is not natural!
Edwige, thank you for your comment and yes you are absolutely right by saying that everyone can do they’re own research on what’s best for them. Nonetheless, due to the advancements of medicine, numerous research has been conducted (and not just hearsay) by different ethnic groups of researchers (Whites, Blacks, Asians, Hispanics, etc.) on various areas of the cardiovascular health and the parameters that affects its successful functioning - things that include diet, exercise, sleep, stress, predisposition, etc. So it’s up to the individual to access and study the research available as well as cross reference it with their own family’s health dynamics to see what’s prevalent in their families, whether their lifestyles are contributing to poor health and then judge what’s best for them.
Your comment regarding olive oil vs palm oil was a miss for me. However, I still enjoyed watching the rest of your content.💕
Research has been conducted for “many” years by various different sources - not necessarily whites. Unfortunately, some people just come up with their own uneducated theories that could harm certain individuals if that advice is followed. If you are 100% sure about the benefits and side effects of palm oil, please share your source of information. Blessings.
Those same researchers say that there are different types of saturated fats so I think you should do even more research. I agree with you about olive oil being healthy though
