    I wish my old gasket came out like that! Mine has taken me two weeks chipping away in frustration! Mine was super glued everywhere

      I had to order a 3/16" wood chisel to cut the gasket out. I'm pretty sure they vulcanized it to the plastic groove. I'm in the mechanical field and that was probably the hardest gasket to remove. It was totally ridiculous

      I hope I haven’t just superglued mine, because I used the tube that comes with the new gasket🤦🏽

      It's because he's replacing a replacement.

    Thank you very much! I replaced the gasket six months ago, but it began leaking again. Watching your video showed me two things I did wrong: I did't use enough glue and didn't move the valve to closed. After I let it set overnight, I'll make sure it is working properly.

      I own a pool buisness. Every gasket I have ever seen replaced leaks within a month or 2. It is a factory seal. The only way to truly fix this issue is the replace the whole valve.

    Thanks for your video, I like the idea of keeping the port closed for 12 hours to keep pressure on the gasket.

    Just finished the job. I think tweezers work best to remove the glue and clean the ridges before replacing the gasket

    When I open my multiport, the gasket area is submerged in water and it is impossible to get glue to stick. How do I empty water from the multiport so I can glue down the new gasket?

    Do we need to release pressure from the tank prior to removing the port cover?

    What if I don’t have a wheel gasket port and water is coming out of the back wash pipe?

      Leak at the top valve cover is either 2 things. Bad valve cover gasket or crack in the valve cover. Try removing the handle and rebuild the valve cover. Look for hairline cracks.

      I agree...what tool did you use to remove the stubborn remnants of the old gasket?

    • @Huckleberry-lunger
      @Huckleberry-lunger 8 місяців тому +1

      @reneguzman5436 I used a flat head screw driver and pliers. I did use WD 40 to help soften the old gasket too
