Nice vid :) I'd probably stick with scourge and t85 sliver for a while longer. The mwspear is nice for bleeds, but I wouldn't camp it personally. The scourge passive just adds a lot of damage especially on longer fights.

I'll be honest, I am not a DPS pro like at all! I predominantly go on intuition when I'm fighting. Its been a long time since I stayed with a fixed rotation (Rasial prime example.) that being said there are quite a few guides out right now for DPS rotations :-) I may get round to one in the future though. Just got a few on the craft at the moment already
I’d love to see a melee walk though for Rax, I’m just finishing up on Glacor 1st log , wanted to do Rax but I’m killing my self so much… but yes thank u for your content, well worded and beautifully put together ❤❤❤
I'm not a massive fan of the spooder haven't been since I tried to speed run the blighter 😅 his mirror back makes me so mad. I may do it in the future though :-)
actually melee was my go-to at rax before I got some half decent ranged weapon (upgraded bone blowpipe), went with Dragonrider lance for quite a while in the beginning had issues with the cleave attack but then I just proactively surged through rax whenever the next spec was imminent and it hardly ever caught me again definitely advise using halberd range if meleeing, if you stand very close, you may take melee hits from rax also when rax isn't in melee form
with melee you still have to move if cleave is next, even when rax doesn't pull you in because you have used freedom or anticipate, you'd still be close enough to be hit, even with halberd range

For those having money troubles you can main zgs and run a sara godsword eof it's cheap and at tier 90+ you can get crazy hp and prayer returns, I still use it on easier bosses and slayer, I currently run zgs with statius eof
Yeah from my reading too scourge is bis for ages till lengs. The offhand t85 has a passive which is probably better than just t92 damage on an offhand?
@@WeebDragon42069 I think he means he has a scourge already as MH but wants to sell his existing OH to match exactly in the video. Which at this stage because he's slightly diversified from the model through an existing setup wouldn't make sense. Scourge is a brilliant weapon
@@Rynnsha so it's a tough one, you could claw some cash back Vs the khopesh maybe, on top of that having hurricane on DW is pretty good too. You wouldn't necessarily lose too much damage as it's T88 damage despite T85 accuracy. But objectively speaking, hurricane is typically for AOE where you'd want a lance/halberd weapon for the range, if you're bossing against a single target I don't think the damage would be worth it. Depending on if you're looking to progress, I would still go MW spear as the next upgrade where the price isn't massively different from scourge+khopesh. You could buy the Spear and test the difference
So I haven't forked out for it myself. That being said - at the risk of sounding rude (please don't hate me I'm trying to be helpful I promise!!) if you're struggling with adrenaline it may be the case that you need to work on adrenaline and ability management? Or a more solid rotation?

I'm trying to do a phase skip by doing 100k damage in 3.4 seconds or like 3 or 4 abilities... normally I would pre- beserk, chaos roar/drink adrenaline potion, then barge to the spider, then overpower, limitless into a destroy. Unfortunately its not killing it in time and it heals the best I can do is 90k of damage in my overpower and destroy.
Ah for Araxxor? That'll be a tough skip for sure. It maybe worthwhile trying to trade out the barge/destroy for pb of acceleration and maybe start using a weapon spec instead like dclaws? I managed a skip but on necro. So maybe use pre berserk still, into overpower use dclaws however many times you can and for any remaining adrenaline limitless into hurricane. Also are you using full vestments gear?
In all honesty if I was to start from scratch with melee I probably wouldn't use it :-) primarily because it wouldn't fit into the rest of the setup (bleed effect, poison effects etc.) don't get me wrong it's not a bad weapon at all, I probably just wouldn't buy one. You could use it for noxious components after levelling I suppose?
@@Ruggedhobo I've been using a zgs for 3-4 days I was maining the scythe it's good but I feel people put to much hype on its reach, my dps is much higher with zgs+zerk
an early alternative and easy to get is the amulet "Saradomin's whisper" from Zilly which can be upgraded twice, once with a chaotic remnant from Daemonheim to make a brawler's necklace, and then further by adding a blood shard to make blood brawler's necklace which has almost the same stats as amulet of souls and the healing passive like all blood amulets
@Ruggedhobo oh man I got to the talisman part in rs3 after you get the talismans you have to use monkey bones however it can't be from any monkey in ape atoll since you have to go to the zoo so zombie monkey bones make you into a zombie monkey and the zoo keeper won't accept you
the extra damage taken should have been removed its fucking garbage. the "risk" reward is already having to be in md where bosses usually have higher melee attack than anything else and mechanics are harder to dodge dont need the bs mega hits. no one wants to have their eyes glued to the health bar while also doing mechanics

It's absolutely doable with melee. Just freedom/anticipate before every 5th auto and you're always fine against every mechanic. :-)
with melee you still have to move if cleave is next, even when rax doesn't pull you in because you have used freedom or anticipate, you'd still be close enough to be hit, even with halberd range

So because you've already got a T92 I wouldn't downgrade to a T85. Might be worthwhile holding out until you can get the MW spear :-)

It is very expensive I think Necro at the moment is likely cheaper right now due to being Rasial being so lucrative so he's farmed more.

I would absolutely say so however I believe Leng blades (2b roughly?) would easily outdps the EK

So the scythe is still a great weapon but I would prefer the MW spear over the scythe due to it's synergies with poison.
Any word how noxious scythe fits in all of this
