Hear me out, he wanted Moxley and he got him to join forces with him. He told Moxley if he wanted the AEW World Champion, he can have it and now he’s the Champion again. He said he wanted to mentor Yuta and Garcia, and he’s now mentoring Yuta and is making Garcia having second thoughts about aligning with the most rockin Sports Entertainer. Danielson “brought in” Castagnoli to the BCC, and in a month time of debuting he’s a world champion.

@@frickroll Yeah, I was totally thinking of Akuma when I wrote that. Any time Akuma is a hidden boss (his initial appearance, Shin-, Cyber-, & Oni), he’ll have the most ridiculous way fight him. Perfect 5+ matches, end the match with 5+ matches with a Super, reach final stage in a certain time, get a score above a certain number; all on the hardest difficulty.

Punk is friends with Mox's wife, this is a business. Both parties agreed to do this. Last weeks squash match wasnt a shoot/screw job. Theres no heat between Punk and Moxley in real life.

Moxley has a knack for those kind of phrases. His promos are never cheap or shallow.
I was just watching some of his old promos in the Shield, he had this great line about how only Andre The Giant’s ghost can be a threat to beat him, and another great one about how their opponents “should breathe as much air as they can now, because The Shield is going to drown you!” Mox is so great on the mic, IMO, top promo in the business.

Firstly shootout to the person who made "Pay MJF" sign. Secondly, those MJF chants during this promo were the best 👌.
I could see few MJF signs in the crowd not being removed, and the MJF chants for the open contract were not edited out from the video... let's see what happens from All Out to Grand Slam.

Hangman is trash
Two different characters
Hangman did his best promos before he won the title, when he had serious character flaws and was a guy you just wanted to see succeed.
Once he won the title they took away what got him there by seemingly "curing" his anxiety issues and self doubt, which hurt his character a lot.
But what really hurt his run as champion was the fact that they had no real credible main event challengers lined up for him after Danielson, and the world title started to feel like an after thought.
It's not even like he has bad matches as champion, all of his defenses were great, it's just the feuds themselves felt like there was no thought put into them, no real heat behind them.
Hangman's chase for the title was better than his soon forgettable reign

Chris Jericho brought stardom, star power to AEW.
Jon Moxley cemented AEW as a legit business.

Good choice to make Mox the champ. That is a super high energy promo that deflated a hostile crowd. Keep riding that wave of energy, this is what people wanted to see in Hangmans run, but the excitement was never nuclear after the chase was over and he finally won it.
Love moxley as champion but cut Page a little slack that guy is super fckn talented and he's still learning the promo side. But ya moxley is definitely who should be on top, hope he keeps it for awhile

For two guys like Punk and Mox who can’t stand each other, they sure got a lot of similarities. They both possess abundant talent in the ring and on the mic, along with lots of charisma. Roman is the new John Cena/top dog and still WWE’s world champ, Seth is as dependable and entertaining as Shawn Michaels was, and Mox is carrying AEW on his back while being the world champ. That and each of them held WWE’s title at one point in time.
Ironically, CM Punk later claimed to have come up with the idea of The Shield, which he proposed were to be his storyline protectors and consisting of Ambrose, Rollins and Kassius Ohno, Punk described "their guy", Reigns, replacing Ohno, who had been rejected by Triple H.

This Jon Moxley reminds me a lot of Stone Cold Steve Austin. He has a lot of personality traits and mannerisms that Austin had, An anti hero who doesn't care what people think and who does and says exactly what he wants to.
