aah gosh, AOA is so iconic! every time i went to kpop club, everytime AOA song is played, everybody went wild, and dance together, especially the gays hahaha

Oh my god you were starting Like a Cat when I realized this video was 40 minutes long! Tysm for the content! Even though they're not active anymore more people need to react to AOA imo. Regarding the fandom name, Elvis was their debut track which had a band version (AOA Black) and an idol version which is pretty much the AOA as most people know.
AOA Black consisted of Jimin, Yuna, Choa, Mina, and Youkyung. Youkyung was the drummer and didn't participate in dancing so you won't see her anywhere else. (Also in the lore everyone are angels, but YK is a half angel for that reason lol). Youkyung left the agency a long while ago, but she said that she'd come back as a guest if they ever did another song. She's in a band called UNI I think! There's also another subunit called AOA Cream with Yuna, Hyejeong, and Chanmi which is a lil on the cuter but still sassy side.
Anyhow, I'll think you'll be happy to know that the girls are doing pretty good nowadays (at least since I last checked). Jimin came back with solo music and appeared on the show you mentioned, Seolhyun's acting career is still thriving and apparently she's been rock climbing with Jimin (lol), Chanmi is also acting and plays a character on a VRchat survival show that's honestly really entertaining and likes to refer to herself as the character name on SNS (cute!), Yuna is a yoga instructor now (I think she owns the studio?) and has been ghostwriting music under the name E.NA, Hyejeong has honestly just been vibing and hanging out with the other members (including Mina) and picked up hockey so that's cool, Mina has a dog and a cafe now and acted in an mv too, Choa does guest performances and her YT channel is still being updated weekly, and once more Youkyung is very involved with her band! Now, this might be outdated but I've loved my girls for forever so I hope that everything works out for them because they've been in it for the long haul.
I'm actually not sure how they felt about their concept but in regards to reaction, Miniskirt was of course the song that blew them up (with Confused being the turning point). It also got them some banned choreo that they couldn't perform on music shows, namely the unzippering which they had to mime on stage and Hyejeong standing instead of laying on the floor. And of course they brought it all back for their performance on Queendom. So for that reason I imagine that the members who were left (Jimin, Yuna, Seolhyun, Hyejeong, Chanmi) were probably fine with it. Queendom 1 had a lot of great moments so if you're comfortable with it I hope you'll pick it up again someday. Thank you for reacting to AOA!

AOA was FNC ent first idol dance group as the company only really had Idol Rock bands tho the group AOA had a sub unit called AOA Blax which was a rock band
Miniskirt came out during the height of the SEXY girl group concept tera. Like how Girl Crush seems to be the preferred style for girl groups the past few years, there was a time in like the early 2010s where the top girl groups were mature/sexy looking like AOA, Sistar, Miss A, After School, Secret, Girl's Day, etc. So while the skirt unzipping was a bit jaw dropping (and banned from several broadcast shows) the sexiness/risque concept the AOA carried wasn't unheard of for its time. The mature sexy groups kinda faded in popularity by like 2014 and was replaced by the brighter more youthful concept like Twice, Gfriend, WJSN, Oh My Girl, etc. Then around 2017/18 it was replaced by girl crush as the favorable girl group concept.
Personally I miss this type of mature girl group concept. They definitely have its place in the industry. I think what killed it off was partly because we started seeing smaller companies try to push the whole sexy look on younger girls who weren't comfortable with it or it wasn't properly executed, so that turned a lot of people away from it. Like, there's a fine line between looking sexy but classy vs cheap and sleazy. Anyone can put on a skimpy outfit and grind on the floor, but not everyone can do it the way groups like AOA and Sistar did it.

i think you misunderstood Heart attack, the songs is about being too shy to talk to the loved one (like Gee), the point of the song is actually gaining self confidence, mid MV she was about to give him a letter (she wasn't able to talk to him).
After that was the training and makeover sequence with Seolhyun, and at the end was her finally talking to him, the lyrics will not make sense if she reject him.
for me, they kick off the GG 3rd Gen.
I get AOA debuted late but I just can't put them in 3rd gen, their vibe is entirely 2nd gen, I feel like the sexy concept was pretty much done by the time 3rd gen flourished.

there was some controversy regarding miniskirt in that they had to change their choreo for music shows because it was considered too sexy :/
I think Miniskirt is very mainstream and typical concept for its time. Sistar was every bit as sexy and seemingly loved by everyone. Also since AOA had this kind of vibe and their popularity waned after 2016, they don't really feel like a 3rd gen group to me. They fit better with the groups that came before them.
please please pleaseeeeeeee react to their first songs i.e "Elvis" (debut song), AOA black (the band) - "Moya", "Get out" also do check out "Confused" and "Short hair" these are my favorites, and sooo underrated.
