Tsunamis and hurricanes. It is never boring here in Hawaii. You will get to the point as you keep living here where you get used to them. It is always good to be prepared just in case. Hurricane season will be coming up in a few months so be safe.

Be prepared and have an emergency bag with cash at the ready! We had a tornado go through our area. It ran a path miles long and came 150 ft from our house. We had no power for 5 days. We borrowed a generator from a friend which was great for our deep freeze and cooked on our grill. Thank God we had emergency cash because interac was out and the gas stations were taking cash only. It all went old school! Stay safe. 🙂

I’m so sorry about your toe... my mama had the same thing a few years ago, but she had to have her entire nail removed. But the good news is that it grew back fairly quickly. I pray you and your family are safe. ❤️

I know what it is,to have a toe infection😫, it throbs and in my mind I had chopped it off to end the pain( lol which would only make it worse but my imagination was running wild). I got an antibiotic ointment and a few days later it got better. I hope you feel better now and you guys can get some more sleep, and I pray for calm weather and no tsunamis🙏🏼🙏🏼❤❤
I guess one thing about the tsunami watch it helped distract some from your toe pain! Glad it was canceled shortly after I'd be a wreck very scary for sure.
Hawaii is beautiful but I would never live on any coast because of the potential for weather like that.

I live in nz we had to move to higher ground here. The earthquake we felt strong in the middle of the night. But coming from nz we are used to earthquakes
Toe nails are the worst! It happened to me a few years ago and the numbing wore off while I was driving home I was hyperventilating from the pain. Mine grew back fine. It will be okay ❤️ Ibuprofin helped more with the pain while it was healing.

My son just went through a infection in his fingernail ,he showed me yesterday he said he ripped his nail off. So happy Hawaii didn’t get the tsunami but sorry for all the flooding..love when you bring us for your drives ,love seeing the scenery

Tsunami watches and hurricanes are fairly normal in Hawaii. I’ve lived in Hawaii all my life and it’s just something to prepare for but not be scared of.

I loved this vlog because it was so real and unplanned just like our crazy life is! I’m so sorry how scared you got with the tsunami! We live in New Orleans so we seem to be old pros with weather storms/hurricanes/severe flooding. Just trust in God and turn your fear into trust!🙏🏼 Love seeing Hayden’s little personality!!!

I like the coffee mate vanilla almond milk but on the island a lot of milk/dairy can be out of stock a lot so I tried the silk version and it was good too!

We had alot of those when I lived there. The majority were nothing but always be prepared to go to higher areas. Also, I lived on Maui when Hurricane Iniki hit in 1992. It was crazy! I hate you’re having such a hard time. 🙏🙏

I was diagnosed with Severe high blood pressure & cholesterol Wednesday. So as a heart patient I now have to follow a Plant based/heart healthy diet with lean meats. So if I could get some low sodium teriyaki sauce I'd love to make that dish.

Thanks for being so real. My two month old has horrible acid reflux and hasn’t been sleeping at all through the night and doesn’t nap well during the day. When I do get him to nap my four year old needs my attention. Stress is a real thing and being sleep deprived on top of that just makes it even worse. 😫

I wish I could go there to help you! Have been through all of it, except the tsnanami. I am very suprised if you were not prescribed an oral antibiotic. It heal it from the inside. Often the culprit is bacteria entering during/after a pedicure. For me, it felt like my toe had it;s own "heartbeat" of throbbing pain. Salt water soak in epsom salts very warm water. You may find that once the tight bandage is removed, there will be less pressure. Keep your 'toesies' elevated and maybe get a little bell to ring and be the patient for a few days while Dad and the kids nurse you back to health. LOL I know you will read that to them. Semding hugs from the other side of the continent (PEI Canada).

@@BriannaK watch out for cellulitis as well. It is an infection of the soft tissue, but can start like an infected toe. It requires an IV (that stays in and daily trips to Ambulatory Care for IV drip of antibiotics). Not telling you to scare you, only to keep watch and make sure it clears up. Hugs.

I feel your pain! I had to have half my toenail taken off also late October of last year. I had an ingrown toenail that got infected and never got better. Those numbing shots HURT so much! But the pain honestly didn’t last as long as I thought it would. By the next day it felt fine, hurt when wearing shoes or when I accidentally bumped it. I just stayed inside the rest of the week so I didn’t need to worry about wearing shoes or someone stepping on my foot. But my nail is pretty much all the way grown back in, literally just 1/4 left to go. Take your vitamins, I’m pregnant and I feel like that’s been helping it grow back in faster! Hugs mama, you got this!!
I used to get ingrown toenails and then I started getting pedicures regularly..like once a month. Haven’t had one since. If I go longer than a month, it starts feeling like it’s getting ingrown. Don’t worry, it will grow back and look normal again.

Aloha! You will be getting those warnings more often living in Hawaii. Japan has earthquakes every year it seems, depending on the size of them, will depend on the warnings however. You'll get a little more used to the warnings, but always always have a plan to be safe in case. We get them here too on the coast of California. There have been more earthquakes all over lately, and while it's good for Mother Earth to let out some steam, it worries me just a little. But we need to kick fear with faith. We can do this! Stay strong mama. You'll do well. I know it seems our world is in chaos, but things will get better. There are starseeds helping to save it. Just keep sending lots of love out there. This could be totally unrelated but my son and I got infections after going to the beach. I never went under water like my son did (I know though beach water splashed in my mouth), but for a week, maybe longer, I had a stomach infection. It was horribly painful and the most empty intense burning sensation. Not heartburn burn, but well an infection. My son's ears got horribly infected, and he had green pools of bacteria coming out. The smell was out of this world. I'm wondering if bacteria got trapped and got into a little cut you didn't know you had and gave you a staph infection since your toe looked completely green. Sorry if I missed what the podiatrist said if you shared that I didn't catch it. I hope you recover soon and Hayden's schedule straightens out💞

We have lots of wind advisories, heaving rain, hurricane watches and warnings and even flood watches! You’ll get used to it living here but the trick is to not be panicked! One time a shelf fell on my big toe, and I had to go to the pediatrist and they removed the whole nail and the nail removal itself didn't hurt for me but after hurt so bad 😭

I feel you Bri. My second was born beginning of October, and started his regression at 3.5 mos and he still isn’t sleeping. Since it’s my second I feel so shitty he’s not sleeping well like my first one. And my husband and I are dying. Sleep deprivation is so unreal. And I hate sleep training. Hugs lol! ❤️❤️
