I’m not familiar with the cubing community so I have no idea what all this terminology is, but I like your funny words magic man
I am a cube, therefore i understand everything
@@tperm4072 Isn't your algorithm Is R U R' U' R' F R2 U' R' U' R U R' F'?
@@tperm4072 The T perm is my fastest Perm alg. (I only recently switched from 2 look so I'll problably be faster with the J perm or something soon, J perm would like that lol)
@@schmaffew2343 J perm is my fastest alg lol, its much more friendly than a T perm
@@glyyman8583 to me the T perm feels very similar to the J perm, I end up doing the wrong alg sometimes, because I use nearly identical fingertricks, I use the pinch finger trick at the start for both. The biggest difference is with the T perm I do R2 then f with my middle finger, then r2 again, but with the j perm I just do R', then F' with my thumb, from their I cant tell the difference when I'm doing it.
"I am a speedcuber"
You, sir, just got a world record for fastest respect achieved.
Yeah he is great at every thing
how to impress non cubers: solve it fast
how to impress a cuber: own a gan
how impress normal people: get a sub 30
how to impress a cuber: own a gan
Redstoner AND speedcuber? This guy's smart1
@@randomamericansoldier8586 you don't gotta be smart to solve a cube. just memorizing a bunch of patterns
You got lucky with a z-perm lol, I’d imagine doing a G-perm on that would be a nightmare
Should have used the OH alg for z-perm, it’s only Rs and Us
@@iallergic9204 I don't know the alg cuz I never do one-handed xd
@@Purplers it’s fun you should try it
I dont do G perms. I redce the to A and U perms.
@@adi_g that’s fine, and much easier to learn, but also significantly slower
As a speedcuber, yes.
This was fun to watch lol
I think the worst thing about using Rubik's Cubes on video games or online in general is that your muscle memory is completely thrown out the window. It's a real fun challenge doing these as a speedcuber myself.
So true!
true!
Yooooo, finally a speedcuber in the Minecraft Technical community. This was actually a good explanation you earned a sub. Just curious whats your average??
Used to average mid 9s but then stopped for 4 years and now I'm kinda washed up :( Can't get better than 13s
@@Purplers I’ve cubed about as long as you have and never broke sub-15…
@@Purplers Wow dang!! in 4 years. Ive been cubing for 3 years and only sub 20.
been cubing for 5 years but wasnt serious abt it, wasnt grinding and was just casually solving, but recently(about 2 months ago) i started griding solves and pb is 12.499
@Matthew Chen sub 12.5
I'm a speedcuber myself and I'm already lost with muscle memory on a slow cube lol, you last Z perm was impressive!
6:51 "And what we want to do..."
Me: "is peel them off and put them on the right way"
Even easier and neater in minecraft
I love how you explain the steps. I think it would be great for a beginner
so glad you used solid colors. the glass was really messing with my head.
Great video! I don't know how to solve a Rubik's Cube, but your explanation inspired me to learn (meaning I'll start learning when I find a cube)!
Btw, don't buy the original Rubik's brand cube, buy a cheap speed cube from a speed cube shop online, because the cheap speed cube is wayyy better than the Rubik's brand cubes
@@doaa7941 I'm probably going to find some whatever cube to begin with. I think I have one at home already. I'll have to learn how to do it slowly before learning how to do it quickly anyway. But thank you for the information anyway! I'll keep it in mind for when I need a better cube!
LL
@@XenophonSoulis gl with your cubing journey!
@@doaa7941 Thank you!
I started cubing a few months ago and my pb is 25.07. I’m very happy to see that one of my favorite UA-camrs is also a speed cuber.
I am also a speedcuber and I just cant imagine doing an algorithm on this thing
It's just practice and a good cube (Like Gan cube).
@@kidnamedafaq1069 it was a joke lol
i agree. it pll was a g perm i would of had to do the moves on a normal 3x3 first. i wonder when j perm will attempt this lol
@@Leonardo-cw1dd j perm, the youtuber?!
@@letsgetinitexperiments1797 yes
this is the greatest thing I have ever seen. considering I've never seen a minecrafter solve a rubik's cube but rather the other way around
Very nice. Have you making other content on the intersection of Minecraft and puzzles? Would love to see a megaminx somehow in game
that might not be possible, since minecraft is squares and a 3x3 is squares, as a megaminx is a pentagon shape. maybe something like a 4×4 though?
It's not possible, if it is, mumbo would die from creating that.
Came from Docm77's video on that amazing elevator, stayed for your big brain and awesome voice. I'm hooked.
Same!
You’re one of my favourite UA-camr and you turn out to be a speed cuber like me!!! Also you solved the cube exactly how I would have solved it
I could imagine someone combine the virtual rubic cube connecting with Minecraft. When a person use a rubic cube, it'd replicate the movements into Minecraft
ay! i have been cubing for 3 years now ! amazing to see you were a cuber to ! :D
All i want to say that when you turn around its so satisfying
I've done speedcubing as a hobby for >10 years and all I can say is that I used to be able to explain how to solve perfectly to a complete novice back in school and now it's just pattern recognition and muscle memory and challenges like this are harder for me than sub 20
Now I know you are a speedcuber I love you even more. Thank god for that Z Perm - IMAGINE AN A PERM OR G PERM HAHAH (I would have done 2 RU u perms tho) keep up the amazing work
i didnt know there is another overlap of cubing community and tech MC community beside me
love the content BTW
Me: zones out for 2 seconds
Purple: "and theres the bottom two layers done"
Bro finally another mc speedcuber! whats youre pb?
Omg same i love speed cubing also dont you think it would bd cool to make a 2z2 or 4x4?
This is funny to watch lol, also could we get a speed cubing vid pls?
I just learned cubing 2 months ago and I didn't understand anything you said in the vid until I learned lmao
I currently have a record in cubing and this is awesome AMAZING
If it were me, I would have done two U-perms to solve that Z-perm, it’s what I do for one handed 😅
I know you do Minecraft content, but I would LOVE to see you do a CFOP tutorial with a real cube.
me: read the title "meh, he probably just gonna use the beginner method"
him: use the cfop method
me:ALRIGHTY
It’s pure muscle memory for me so doing OLL and PLL so slow would be very hard for me
that's what makes it so hard to solve a rubix cube online
YES
I NEVER would've thought that a big minecrafter like you could be a speedcuber! I am also a speedcuber and my fastest is 26 seconds, not that fast. good video!
Hello, my PB is also 26, pretty cool lol
I wouldn't be surprised if this is a new category in the WCA next time around
0:46 would be made in more detail using a tesseract svdhdhhx
kinda weird that there's still abbreviations inside an explanation for an abbreviation
No cube rotations! Great solve! 🤣
no solve melons
i love your vids
@@ellog0vna227 been done already
This is a great tutorial video to explain how to visualize the cube but not any algorithm that required to move the middle. You could have just done a more basic algorithm
Let's just appreciate this guy for making awesome redstone build in his channel.
No this is made by mumbo tm
@@Neerzzz watch his vids dude :>
a z perm in the end. that would've been a nightmare for me since the only alg I know to solve z perms use m moves. luckily he didn't program magnets and a ges core for added resistance or the solve would be slow af
Very awesome video! But I use the top white one instead of the yellow bottom one lol
Whoa, that was sick to watch. I'd imagine that if you used the glue and made two thick layers of concrete, you could then throw a border block in between so it actually resembles a standard Rubik's cube with no "visible" redstone(I'd also put all the rotational buttons on a selector panel in one location, well labeled with what face and which direction it rotates said face from that perspective)
Great vid! Could have done pseudo slotting for green orange if you didn't do it last.
I decided to not do any advanced CFOP stuff like x-crosses, pseudo slotting, WV/SV because the would have convoluted the explanation a lot xd
@@Purplers Makes sense lol. Btw it's impressive how you managed to not get lost doing the "M U" z-perm without being able to rotate.
when I saw "Z perm" I wonder what route he's gonna go with he ended up doing the M's. At first I thought he was gonna do 2 U perms or just an OH Z perm but well that works as well. :)
For the z-perm, I would've just used two Ua-perms lmao
Good content though.
Best u-perms are also using m slices. There are OH Algs for those cases that just use R and U
@@iallergic9204 bru there RU Ua perm but i prefer mu
@@BRAN_ATR he said there are RU Z perms used for OH which would be good for this cube
Nice last layer orientation xD on a real cube its easily managable but in minecraft yeaaa
Man there's no way I could rely on muscle memory to do PLLs on this thing 😂
its cool to think that im a speedcuber and a redstoner and so is one of my favorite redstoners
Let's go, another speedcuber redstoner
To be honest not being able to solve a rubik's cube that is why this video goes above my head but it is pretty cool to see someone solve it in minecraft
You made me realize that i completely forgot how to do a z perm since i dont cube actively
Im so excited another speedcuber, tell me
Whats your pb
How did you get into cubing
Are you color neutral
When did you start getting into it
And why did you get into it
I got into it bc i wanted to impress my friends... then it became a career xD
I think he said like 4 years ago and he used to mid 9 s, now he averages around 13s. I only average 18s and it's already been a year since I startee
Imagine this in the WCA. It would take 10 minutes to solve one 3x3.
Actually it would be a DNF
@@Iamrealme there is a rule against it right ? That you can't force yourself to get bad times?
at 4:02 I would have turned the front f u f' into a 3 moves pair : r u' r. I would had done the cross a bit differently
Recently I built a 4x4 Rubik's Cube, using the same mods, (Forge, Create, Flywheel(1.18 and below), and Worldedit to build it faster)
drive.google.com/drive/folders/1YkWQn9R62ezynqHxAccf1d22wpl2ftcZ?usp=sharing (World Folder and a screenshot)
Update: Whoops I mixed up the "Clockwise" and "Counter Clockwise" linked controllers the are used with the 4x4 cube.
Controls: W: ↻ Back Face, S: ↻ Front Face, A: ↻ Left Face, D: ↻ Right Face, Space: ↻ Up Face, Shift: ↻ Down Face, (the Front Face is the Blue side). this is the case for both cubes.
Damn I did not knew you were speedcuber holy
I am a speedcuber too, love your vids!
watching that as a rubiks cube lover
I saw the mumbo video when it came out and was so excitted when he realised that rubik's cubes where made of pieces instead of stickers and was kind of sad when i couldn't play on the world download because i didn't have java.
for those who don't know it is actually really easy for a computer to solve a rubiks cube because an unsolved rubiks cube is actually a mathematical expression where the unsolved is where you start the solved state is where you are trying to get to and the only math you have to do is "how do I get where it is to where it should be?" and computers are really good at math
8:35
Impressive sub-harmonic!
I don’t think he was tryna do a sub I’m pretty sure he was just speaking
Although sometimes when someone’s speaking they do accidentally go through the motions to do a sub, like just talking then relax into a vocal fry and by extension a sub
Found this comment amusing haha
Tfw you do something and finally understand why people solve with ZZ.
I would hate getting a y or v perm on that (the one that isnt in 2 look pll) i screw them up everytime i get them in one handed
Why is his voice so calming
I am a speedcuber too, did you have algoritams written somewhere or do you know them move by move, I rely on musle memory so I wouldn't be able to solve it speedcubing way without it written somewhere, also how much do you average. P.S. that z perm was realy unlucky, and love your videos
4 years 7 months ago it was mid 9s, then 7 months ago it was like 13 or 14s. I forget the second number, but it's somewhere in these comments.
this still works better than online rubiks cubes
I like your funny word magic man.
You can do the R U Z-perm :). Btw Great video!
This man makes his cross with yellow.
Bro I was listening/watching this vid while cubing lol
i wish this video was out when i was learning cfop
I use layer by layer and gat a best time of 30 seconds. CFOP is WAY to confusing for me but i’m a kid so i’ll learn soon probably
I use beginners f2l with 2 look oll and 2 look pll
Which gets me down to averaging like 35 seconds
I do advanced cross, advanced f2l, a 1 look oll that uses 2 algs, and 2 look pll but i know some advanced pll algs
I started like 2 months ago and I know all but 6 algs in Pll, I know like four in oll (from messing around with Y perm and stuff), intermediate F2l (1 look 2look oll is just r U R' U' M U R U' R' for L case and R U R' U' M' U R U' r' for bar, doesnt work on dot cases, to use it you use those algs instead of the normal ones and look at corner orientation to see what the next alg is.) I average 30-35 seconds, but sometimes I get a average of five that is sub 25, I definately recommend the 1 look oll thing, Jperm has a video on it its called faster 2 look oll. (it unfortunately is kind of a waste of time on dot cases though so I'll learn the dot cases in oll first)
Technical Minecraft player? Speedcuber? What next, youtuber? Mathematician? NASA engineer?
I would have switched to a beginner method for the last layer, since it doesn't require to move the middle layer
What’s you best times and ao5 etc? I’ve been cubing for about a year and a bit. My best time is 8.86 and best ao5 11.92 :)
Great video! whats your 3x3 pb?
I know your asking PDN but my pb is 42 seconds (I dont remember my exact time) and my average is around a minute and 3 seconds. (I know I need to get better I still use beginners method)
Imagine getting a corner twist on that
Wow, i usually start with the white cross, not the yellow cross.
That really threw me off lmao
As a cuber, i approve this video
This is sorta why i don't use digital Rubik's cubes. They work, but if you're a cuber, they don't really work.
As a speedcuber I completely understand it, but I'm sure non cuber listening to this is going to get traumatized by the cube.
best rubix cube tutorial ever!
Rubik's cube* you idiot
Im not a speedcuber but I know Advanced F2L and PLL
Just learned to solve it 3 months ago
I learned zperm the OH way a while ago and it involves using only r and u faces
Sledgehammer/hedgeslammer would be better for F2L here since you won't have to fly around as much
same here, been cubing for ~8 years, I average around 13-14s.
My brain before this video: purplers is an insanely good redstoner.
My brain while im watching this video: WHAT THE HELL IS THIS MAN TALKING ABOUT! I THOUGHT HE IS JUST GOOD AT REDSTONE
My brain after this video: *disappers with a big explosion*
the flipped edges are part of the alg, i flip the edges at the beggining of it
i know its been 1 year, but maybe you could put all the controls next to each other and try to do a timed solve on that
I didnt know in the CFOP method you start with the bottom layer i always use the white layer ig you can start with any layer tho
yes and no, you always do the same steps in order (cross, f2l oll, pll), but you can start on any color. this is called being "color neutral"
I love minecraft and I learned how to solve a rubix cube ages ago but thing is I forgot now all I can remember is how to solve a pyrimix
Just be glad you didn’t have H perm, all those M2 moves would have sucked lol
How can you open the world? If i join the world then the wireless things are no longer connected...
I do it the non-speed cube way. Thanks for showing us a different way to solve it!
Haha my best solve is 27 seconds (I didn't full learn CFOP) - great video though!
My RS3 M 2020 JPERM cube just broke😭😭😭
Also why didn’t you just do the OH aka the r/u move Z Perm
The OH alg for the z perm is just r and u’s would’ve been easier
for anyone learning how to solve a rubik's cube, the repeated alg during his f2l is done through the sexy move(if you know notations, its R U R' U')
