Retrofit Joint Sealant System for EIFS - Sika Emseal SafeReseal® Field Installation Video

A retrofit joint sealant system for EIFS, precast, concrete, and virtually any substrate, SafeReseal® is a safer, grindless, dustless, quiet, primerless, tensionless, paintable, retrofit joint sealant that installs over old sealant remnants.
Also utilized in new construction as a durable, paintable/coatable alternative to caulk and backer rod.
SafeReseal® is precured with a watertight, paintable, hybrid STPE sealant, SikaHyflex®-150 LM, and supplied precompressed for ease of installation.
In partnership with Sika USA, the sealant has been tested to achieve adhesion while under compression from the backpressure of the impregnated foam to the residue of the most common joint sealants on the market regardless of age or state.
No grinding is required which means less noise and less tenant/occupant disruption. Preparation is dustless so no harmful airborne contaminates like silica and also removes the requirement for dust containment, extraction equipment, or specialized respiratory PPE.
Removal of the old joint sealant only requires a razor knife. After a solvent wipe and tooled bead of SikaHyflex-150 LM sealant, the joint is prepped and ready for installation of the SafeReseal reel.
The performance properties of SafeReseal are the same as Seismic Colorseal precompressed foam technology. The singular product provides a durable, watertight seal that creates a thermal block, acts as a sound attenuating barrier, and resists the effects of air pressure differentials, wind-driven rain, and other common forces that cause moisture ingress.
