Residents in Westlock vote in favour of neutrality bylaw

- In a close vote Thursday evening, residents voted in favour of the bylaw that will ban all flags other then Provincial, National, and Municipal ones. Crosswalks will also be required to revert back to white lines.
Yes, the government should be neutral.
I had a glimmer of hope when I saw the video headline: residents vote in favour of neutrality bylaw. I thought GREAT! A neutral headline, perhaps CITYNEWS media is finally figuring out that neutrality is what we all want and expect. But alas, mere moments in, the 'reporter' reverts to type: '...voted in favour of BANNING pride flags and pride crosswalks'
It's unfortunate, because no, the headline had it right: they voted IN FAVOUR OF NEUTRALITY. Not against anything or anyone. Until the corporate media get this figured out, they will remain inconsequential and on the verge of bankruptcy and utter irrelevance.
@@paradoxi2649yeah its sad, my town (Norwich, Ontario) did this same thing but we had the cbc come in and write damming articles about norwich. People from london and the gta started coming to our town and being extremely disrespectful. One council member resigned, another ran away. Both voted differently on the situation but the cbc came in and undermined our democracy. We had a vote but they bullied our town so bad that there were gunshots fired at a house and many other acts of violence.
Today our neutrality act no longer exists.
@@paradoxi2649 This is the most accurate title I've seen on a video covering this so far. All of the titles have been "Town bans pride flags" when in reality, it only applies to municipal property, and it applies to all non-governmental flags, not just the pride flag. We do not need different flags for different races, sexualities, or religions in our nation, for the Canadian flag represents ALL CANADIANS. The Canadian flag does not discriminate
Voted out. That is Democracy working.
Here here thank goodness for democracy
If you don't vote the way the Left wants you to vote, that's called a "threat to democracy."
Mob rule. It was a very close vote though, a 50% plus one type of thing. This wasn't a threat to anyone. Showing acceptance of others is a good thing, except to bigots who couldn't handle this simple and unharmful gesture, because they feel insecure about themselves.

Mostly because most politicians are pushing the alpabet agenda
The reason why crosswalks, and curbs, are painted white or amber was developed for members of the CNIB (Canadian National Institute of the Blind) because those two colours are the most visibility to those who are partially blind and aids them in crossing an intersection safely. If you want a rainbow to walk over, paint your walk or driveway at home.
