Rich please is possible to do this configurations and tests offline, or do I have to have the machine conected to reach the results that you got? my question is because i use EZCAD and thinking to start on Lightburn due to hard time that im having trying to engrave a serial MUTEX and QRCODE. Can you help me with this please?
Excellent information, but I have not found a way to make a consecutive series starting from 00001 onwards, I must make a number starting from 00001 to 70000 and when I start it only marks 1 without the zeros. I would be eternally grateful for your help. Greetings from Colombia.
Thank you for the great tutorial. I've used it to make several projects recently and its made life much easier. I do have a question. Can you use the variable text and the circular array to make a clock face? I tried but while I can get 12 numbers in a circle and right side up, I just can't figure out how to get them in the proper location. Any suggestions/solutions?
Thank you so much for these videos man I’ve been so motivated because of how focused and detailed they ……thank you really doesn’t express my gratitude!!!! I pray God blesses you beyond measure for your generosity through your videos !!! Thanks again
Hey Rich! Very helpful info as usual! thank you! I have a question about text, so allot of my Fonts in my Fontbook have alternates, like Serif,,Rough, etc, , can these be accessed in lightburn? In the text drop down menu it just shows the standard for each typeface. Thanks in advance!
@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy Haha...well I wouldn't say I resolved it, I just noticed that on my drop down font list , some of the typefaces have all of the alternates listed and some of them do not. I have a feeling it has to do with how I downloaded those fonts from creative market and other sources. I use other design software for Logos/stickers/vinyl ... called Affinity Designer/photo and in those design programs there is a window to access all the alternate typefaces. so Im guessing until I actually resolve this issue in LightBurn , I will be stuck with what I have on my dropdown list.
Awsome video Rich I appreciate all the work you have done to produce these videos. Back in the day, I did videos for an internet marketing company and know how much effort goes into creating and producing quality videos. Keep up the great work. Mike
Hey Rich, if I wore hats, I'd take mine off to you. More great information on the use of Lightburn of one of it's lesser known features. In about three weeks of watching your videos, I have the confidence and knowledge that I can create in and use Lightburn near your level. I just need the experience. 👍
hi Rich, When i make the rows and colloms, i press the x-up and it goes to the right. But when i press the y-up the rows dont go down like you but they go up. I did follow all the steps you do and all the settings look te same, am i missing somthing ? Peter.
I'm running it now Gary. It's exactly as in the video except for the design. I didn't want to show the company name, or I would have shown the actual burn. All that's left out is me putting my 50x80 cardboard template on the bed and running the job. Check out my other video called, Creating A Laser Bed Template for Production Runs to see how I made the bed alignment & cardboard templates.
The manufacturer on Amazon who I used to buy from stopped selling them. But I found a new one that's slightly larger and you get 50 for $12.59, plus they have a coupon right now for 5% off. amzn.to/3fOvkPq
Your timing is impeccable. I am researching how to use variable text to do ~75 trophies with varying divisions and placements. A quick little check in the Lightburn documentation (which will well written) and bam! CSV data imported. Thanks! Once I actually get my laser in a few weeks, I'll post some info in the forums!
Congratulations on the 10K mark. Your channel is highly informative. Now a lightburn question: at 12 minutes you do a preview of what the job will do. Most of the cards are engraved and then immediately the box is engraved around the card. But in a couple of instances LightBurn seems to skip the box and comes back later to do it. Why?
I really can't explain it, and neither can Lightburn. It's a mathematical algorithm that the software runs to find the most optimal path, meaning the path with the least amount of travel Jesse.
I was getting them on Amazon from this seller in lots of 100, but they stopped selling them in lots and only have them 15 to a pack now. You can click the link (they're too expensive) and scroll down to see other sellers with better prices Barry: amzn.to/3KAIJsA
Rich, I would say you are growing because you a very likeable, Understandable, and you Explain things in Layman's Terms. Thanks so much for all you do. I too have a Chrome Dome.
Congratulations Rich!! Your channel IS rocking due to very informative and helpful content. I seldom comment on FB but on the Ortur laser group I joined the only comment I make when some one needs help is go watch the Louisiana Hobby Guy and listen to what he says. I wish you continued success and look forward to all of your videos. Thank you, Mike.
Congrats on 10k subscribers Rich!!! Love your awesome videos! You will have a Silver UA-cam play button plaque in no time!! No one deserves one more...you are patient and teach us lightburn and give money making ideas! Thank you so much.

Rich, do you have any recommendations for lines of text from my csv that are too large for my design. It may only a few throughout the dozens I import so adjusting the size is not reasonable for all. Is there a way to wrap text to the next line of it exceeds a certain number of characters? Thanks!
Hi. I have a question about the 80w? Diode laser you tested from neje. Does it worth getting it over any other diode laser module kit? Nvm I found the answer (kinda) in your forum. Great site. Will be reading this weekend all about it.
@@CESAR_H_ARIAS I highly recommend the Neje A40640 kit with the adapter board. I'm not familiar with the Lowrider. The Neje is 12V, and with the adapter board, can be powered separately with an additional 12V, 5A power supply.
Rich - Congrats on 10K! I wish you the best! Thanks for all you do for the community! One quick question on this. Is this a case where you cut the array in cardboard, then place each of your pieces in the array. And, I think you probably don’t use the honeycomb bed since you aren’t cutting through, just engraving. Also, what machine are you using for this project? Is this something the OLM2 Pro will do?
Yes David, I have a 50x80 cardboard template that I use for the aluminum cards, and no I don't use the honeycomb, I just tack the cardboard template to the waste board.
@@rustyp21 Absolutely! On previous jobs, I used the Neje 40W, but with the right business cards (coated or anodized) it can be done with any laser. I'm using the LM2 Pro for this job.

I cover in in the video. Just set the decimals on the work bed with the letter d for the number of zeros, like ddddd1.

Awesome thank you Kevin!
How do you get all different numbers? It engraves the same number on the whole batch:(
Using a spreadsheet.
More great ideas. I wonder if you could import a text or office 395 file (ie Exel) file in that would do the same.
Yes, you can import csv files Merrill!
