We have about 2,000 miles on our 2015 limited 2.0T...We get about 20 mpg in the city and have gotten up to 34 on the freeway. It does pack a lot of tech and other great amenities for the price. If you want a fast car that you can upgrade and mod all day..probably not the car for you, but for a nice family car it is quick enough.

I think this is a vast improvement in terms if design and technology over the last generation.

I have that exact same car except black. I love it. Nice space, quite smooth ride. Confident power band, and brakes. My one complaint is the direct injection pump, it's way way to loud.
Oh and to the guy that commented about the 0-60 in 8.1 seconds, that video on UA-cam was done in the middle of summer. If you look at that video the outside air temp was 87℉ and probably high humidity. These cars have a decent intercooler but not perfect. At that air temp it was heat soaked for sure. I timed mine last week with a air temp of 32℉ and hit 6.1 0-60 consistently.

Like the new camera angle where it is just behind you while you are driving down the road. Good job, as always, Sam.

It's nice when there is a large sunroof the camera's suction cups can attach to!

Good review I bought the limited without the turbo and was very happy great gas mileage technology ahead of its competitors for a lesser price and everyone who has seen it has said wow. Hyundai us not the cheapo it used to be seems more luxurious than the price you pay

Nice Review Sam...that is really nice looking ride..for 35K though?..ouch...although to be fair, that is the sweet spot of the mid size sedan market. What road were on for this test? I like the background area.

Peak torque on this engine starts at 1350 rpm and remains steady up to 4000 rpm.

Touch response on the buttons "painfully slow"??? I have to say that is either an over exaggeration or it must've been something wrong with that car. I mean the response time on my 2015 sonata 2.0t ltd is extremely fast compared to my 2013 Toyota avalon ltd and other vehicles I owned in the past, but I guess some people like the response time when you push the button to be instant. To each their own.

They should have left the engine alone. I have a 2014 2.0T and I really do enjoy the car. To go from 274hp to 245hp it's all about saving and making more money per vehicle. Let's be clear.

Your comment prompted us to ask Hyundai what the reasoning was for the lower horsepower rating. What we were told was that re-mapping the power curve had to do with creating more mid-range torque across the rev band where most drivers were at. Previously, the torque came on higher in that range (1,650 - 4,500 rpm), where now it comes in significantly earlier (1,350 - 4,000 rpm). The changes also helped fuel economy according to EPA estimates. As the change in power was not related to significant hardware change, instead software changes and a slight bump in compression ratio, we don't see this as a cost cutting move.

Observed average mpg is 23??? For Sonata? With your driving on rural highways? And $35K? For Sonata? Hyundai is losing the plot.
