I like the DC model of playing in MLS stadiums. The Ohio team should use either one in Columbus or Cincinnati instead of the TB in Canton.
@@chopgotsauce6812 I loved the Canton setup but I like your idea of an MLS in Cincy or Columbus. That size venue has been awesome for DC!
I like the idea of a team at Canton, but it has to be a new team not just a name from either the USFL or XFL pile.
Tom Benson is the perfect stadium size for a UFL team
Columbus is a huge market without the main three. Limited competition.

That was one AAF team that was fun to watch. No doubt they would have won the title if the league hadn't folded during the season.
For a ny/nj team I think Red Bulls Arena would be the best option

I like the idea of reviving the NY/NJ Knights. The question I have is how much would it cost to get the rights from the NFL? They allow the ELF to use the German team names from the WLAF/NFL Europe era, so hopefully it can work.
That's a good question. I wonder if most of those trademarks have lapsed, but knowing the NFL, they're probably still holding on to some of them.
My personal picks for teams that the UFL should bring back
1. Philadelphia Stars (and actually play in Philadelphia instead of Detroit)
2. Orlando Guardians
3. Jersey Generals
4. LA Wildcats
5. Oakland Invaders
6. Seattle Sea Dragons
7. Tampa Bay Bandits
@@rapiddiamonds3248 I like these. Seems like for tradition sake, there should be a Philadelphia Stars team. I think almost everyone agrees on Seattle too!
I also liked the Orlando Rage, with our boy, Jeff Brohm, at QB! I agree there must be a Western Division, as well.
I've been lucky to have been able to talk with Brohm about his days in the XFL and about the relaunch of spring football (unfortunately not on UA-cam...yet). I have a Rage t-shirt from Royal Retros!

While it may not be practical, I would like to see a MN or WI team in the mix. Milwaukee has a population of over 500,000 which could possibly be a candidate for the UFL. The team name should have something to do with beer or cheese.
Love it! And as you saw, we don't have to be practical when we are making a wish list for the league!
Need a new name for a Salt Lake team. Agree that the Vipers should stay dead. You'll definitely hear a lot of "Bring Back the Sea Dragons" despite the fact that the league's costs will explode if they maintain the training hub system. They were talking about Canton getting a team, and I'll stick with that.
@@skidawg22 in a perfect world with unlimited money, Seattle would work. You're right: with the hub, the travel costs by itself would be a huge dent. Would love to see Canton get a team.
I couldn't come up with a better name for Oakland's team. The Oakland Invaders sounds like a great name for them. And also the Enforcers should be revived too, but in Baltimore.

Here's my take on your suggestions, IMO: Oakland Invaders - Absolutely! NO NFL team, great weather, cheap coliseum stadium. San Diego - Absolutely! But I do prefer Fleet or Wildcats. Salt Lake City - probably not. I do like "NO NFL in city". And might work for true Spring league, but I rather UFL go from Feb to April/May. Chicago - not my favorite. Like SLC must be a spring team. Maybe play at old MLS stadium in burbs. NY/NY - Yes...if team plays at Red Bull Arena. And while I do like the Knights, I think they would just go Generals again. Orlando - Yes. No NFL, great weather. Hopefully play at MLS stadium. I like Guardians if they go back to original black and red colors. My 4 "yes teams" would make a perfect 12 team league.

Well, you definitely have a wish list there but I will try to make a more realistic one. Well if you add 6 more teams then that makes a league of 14 teams. For the divisions 7 teams in the USFL division and 7 in the XFL division. First of all the Houston Roughnecks go back into the XFL division (where they belong). So that means the XFL division gets 2 more teams and the USFL division gets 4 teams. For the USFL, bring back the New Orleans Breakers, New Jersey Generals, Pittsburgh Maulers, and Philadelphia Stars. For the XFL division bring back the Seattle Sea Dragons and move the Guardians to Canton.
I think some of those USFL names have run their course. Let's inject some new life and history into this pretend expansion.

Id move the Breakers to San Diego. What could possibly be a better name for a harbor/surf city than San Diego Breakers? And Oakland should be on the table along with Seattle.

Oakland and Chicago with the new Northwestern stadium would be excellent choices. SLC with the late March to June schedule would be an interesting option. San Diego will never happen because the football stadium already has an MLS team coming and NWSL and Rugby team playing there. Orlando with the late March to June schedule would be doomed for attendance because of how hot it gets there
That Northwestern stadium seems like it would be perfect as a UFL setup. San Diego is always going to be a dream. Seems like such an underserved football market, especially with the Chargers abandonment. I think a March-June schedule would work in Orlando. It's definitely warm, but the average temperature doesn't get past 90 until July.
Chicago Enforcers, or Blitz, could play in Bridgeview which will need tenants with the Fire moved back to Chicago.
The Vipers are Jinx until they move back to Tampa Bay

After what we've seen with a bunch of players getting shots at the NFL since spring football returned in 2022, I think it's a definite sign that good players can find a home in the UFL and get to the next level.
Especially with KaVontae Turpin in Dallas, Brandon Aubrey in Dallas, and Jake Bates in Detroit. And several players on the practice squad of NFL teams or on the regular roster.

Maybe use the team name "Express" and color scheme, but use it in a different city. Same for the "Gamblers" and color scheme as well. Which cities? Maybe one of the cities you mentioned in this video or a city in Florida or the Carolinas.
I like that idea, especially with a team in the Carolinas.
Oakland doesn't make sense at this time. I shouldn't have to explain why....it's the venue. At this time, the UFL should focus on seeing if they can place a team in cities that have an MLS venue. MLS stadiums are an appropriate size, and a lot of MLS stadiums are on the newer side of construction considering amenities and design.
That's why I mentioned the possibility of the new stadium the Oakland Roots have planned. We call dream!
A little baffling that you’re talking about teams identities from other entities that the UFL doesn’t have the rights to when there are so many historic and spectacular XFL and USFL teams that could be brought back.
Bandits, Blitz, Breakers, Generals, Gold, Maulers, Sea Dragons, Stars, Vipers, Wildcats, Wranglers and on and on…
As I said in the open...we're pretending the copyrights are "fluid" 👍
Bring back the Invaders however relocate them to San Diego or Sacramento

I suppose the Showboats wouldn't need a name change, but I liked the Maniax from the original XFL. Might not be PC, but the logos were 🔥!
The logo and color scheme were awesome! I remember even back in 2001 there was some push back on that name/logo. As I said in the other comment...I have a Maniax t-shirt from Royal Retros, too! 🤣
@@johnlewissports Cool. After the original XFL folded, I bought a lot of merch, figuring it would be resurrected. Although I gradually sold most of it, I have a box of stuff left, including team mini-footballs, jerseys, and tee shirts. I wish I could wear them, but it would ruin the collectability!
