A thing of beauty your Pontiac firebird trans am very beautiful inside and out not many of the firebird bullnose front ends on the round very rare these early trans ams thumbs up from me 👍
Great looking Trans Am. You really need to buckle up your shoulder belt. In addition to the obvious safety aspect of wearing the shoulder belt in conjunction with the lap belt, you will have a better feeling of how the car drives and handles when wearing both belts. Buckle up and enjoy the car.
@@TransamObsession ln a collision lap belts only keep you from being ejected but offer very little protection for your upper torso. The shoulder belt is what prevents you from hitting the steering wheel or the dash. As a teenager in the mid 70s I had a 1970 Buick Electra to drive and I was that rare teenager that buckled up both the lap and shoulder belts. I was coming home one weekend from college and a drunk driver hit me head on. Because of the size and quality of the Electra along with the fact that I was wearing both belts, I walked away with only minor cuts and scratches and bruises from the belts which was far better than the unbelted drunk driver. It really makes sense to wear the shoulder belt.
Thanks for the comments, yes, I have the original date correct 1970 wheels for it which will stay with the car. Like the look of the modern rally wheels and the car drives better on them. Thanks Mark
Pretty cool seeing a gorgeous 70 TA in the UK. Shout out from across the pond.
thank you👍
Real jewel.💎
Brilliant, simply brilliant. Trans Ams fly at night, Lancasters fly in the day!

That’s actually a good point, the shoulder belts are tied neatly up in the headliner and it’s not something I tend to think about that much👍

restoration is very well done, but I would keep the original rally2 wheels. The 17" makes it like a "modern" car...

The combination of the high suspension hight of the early 2. Gens + the 17in wheels looks a bit awkward to be honest. Otherwise a beautiful car :D
No reverse lights?
Reverse lights work and are combined with the indicators with switchback back LED bulbs, one bulb does both and emits 2 different colours 👍
Because in Europe the cars have to have amber turn signals in the rear, correct?
@@thomasdoyle3242 yes that is correct, although after 40 years in the UK you don’t need an an annual test so would probably get away with red
Suspension is too high, it looks silly, otherwise an iconic car.
¡¡¡¡ VIVA TRANS AM!!!!
