Good morning Caryn!❤ I am here with my coffee. Thank you for keeping me company!😊 I wanted to say that I appreciate your openness and honesty. I relate in so many ways, I have found, in my life, if I want to stay on track , I vocalize my goal and then do check-ins for accountability. That is why I love your channel. So welcoming and a friendly environment. Thank you for sharing your journey.❤
I totally agree don't get discouraged. There's some weeks I only put $1-$2 in some of my challenges. I know everyone says it, but every dollar does add up! Have a blessed day, everyone ❤
Caryn, you're rocking it! I watch all of your videos (Usually on my TV so I can't leave comments very easily). It's actually comforting knowing things aren't only tighter for me. I mean it's still probably a "Me, I'm the problem." because I need to change my spending habits. but it's nice to know that, yes, things are getting more expensive, and no, I'm not alone. Thank you for being so transparent. It's encouraging.
Aww, thank you so much Melissa!🥰 It's definitely not a "you" problem ... so many people are struggling to make ends meet.😩 Praying things turn around for the better for all of us!🙏🏼💛
Good morning, Caryn! Things are getting tight….no joke! I will be doing my budget this weekend for paycheck #2 for Oct. (paid every other Wednesday). Our income is within $20 of each other and I think that’s why I gravitated to your channel. The only difference is that my income is what supports my husband and I. Like you the end of the month is "bill heavy" and I find myself pulling in the reigns just a little bit more. I’m happy that there are channels like yours to keep us on track! ❤
Hi Stephanie!🥰 Things are hard for so many people right now!😩 I'm so glad you find value in my channel and can relate on an "income level". It's one of the reasons I try to keep things real over here.💛
Very good video, I appreciate your openness. It’s so tempting when things get tight to cut back on the savings, but I really appreciate how you show sometimes necessary to just tighten the budget.. Sometimes the tight weeks are a helpful wake-up for me when I realize as tracking expenses, that unnecessary extras have been slipping in, and also it’s a good time to shop from my freezer/ pantry. Wishing you a good week.
Completely agree ... it definitely makes me look little harder at our spending habits, and we've also been shopping our freezer!🥰 I hope you have a great week too!💛
You’re very blessed to be able to put money in all your categories. I just have the one income so after I pay my bills I don’t have enough to fund all my categories. But like you said, even if I put two dollars towards each one that’s better than nothing.we just have to do the best we can. I know this is a simple answer, but it’s so hard but how do you all keep from spending your money you’re going to put back on other things like Etsy for instance?
I am blessed, absolutely!🙏🏼 I would never want people to think I take for granted all the ways God has blessed me and my family.💜 Sometimes I can put something into every category, and sometimes I can't. We just do the best we can. I have a Hobbies envelope that I pull from for Etsy purchases. I'm not a big spender and I don't like to shop, so it's relatively easy for me to not spend unless I have the cash in an envelope, and even then, I don't like to part with my cash ... it's so true that it's easier to swipe a card than to hand over actual cash!😅 However, last week, I did pull from "Miscellaneous" because we ran out of "Food/Fun" money.
Hi Emily!🥰 Yes, these are my own budget worksheets that I created because I couldn't find any that worked for me. You can find them in my Etsy shop, which is linked in the video description.💛
Hi there!🥰 I use a free app called Goodnotes. Then I just import my .pdf budget sheets into the app. I did a video on how I use it ... here's the link if you're interested: ua-cam.com/video/2ebJZUQvSFc/v-deo.htmlsi=tCp2ZKtH1daXRB_A
Hi Lisa! You sounded so discouraged as you tried to encourage us. I have a thought...it seems the vacation amount of $100 out of the one paycheck is really putting you at a disadvantage. Have you thought about doing $50 per paycheck instead? Also, for games, is it necessary to put $218 in games? I know it's for 2 weeks, but maybe trim that area a bit as well? Also, I think you get 3 paychecks next month, maybe you can add extra to some areas, like your kids? Just some thoughts/suggestions. Thanks for continuing to show up every week. God is faithful. Trust Him.
Hi there, and thank you!🥰 I didn't mean to sound discouraged, so I apologize if I came across as a "Debbie Downer".😅 For our vacation, I calculated what I think we'll need, and then divided by the number of checks I have until then, that's how I came up with the $100 per paycheck. Yes, it's a little tight right now, but I'd like to have a decent amount for our flight, accommodations, food, excursions, etc., plus a cushion. And, of course, the amount going to games is not an absolute, but that money goes to sinking funds as well, so I don't want to cut back too much in that area. And, yes, November is a "magic month" for me, but I haven't really noticed a huge impact ... not like a whole extra paycheck that I can spend/save wherever I want. Since I budget by paycheck, bills/expenses will continue to come out of that third check too. I really appreciate your thoughtfulness and suggestions! 💛 And, yes, always trusting God; He is so faithful!🙏🏼
It definitely takes some adjusting ... I went from getting paid on the 15th and last day of every month, to now getting paid every other week. That's what made me start budgeting in the first place ... I had to figure out a system for my bills, since the pay dates are always different, and not set on the 15th and last day. Hang in there and keep working at it ... it will fall into place eventually!🎉💛

Sorry, Caryn. Wrong name, right person!
Are these your own budget inserts? I love them and would love to use them myself

I'm going from getting paid weekly to every other week and im a little nervous bc I cnt figure out this pay period at all
