I already have tape measure and utility knife that’s all I need for now cause I’m ground guy but sometimes I’ll cut things if needed before I climb up with it
Roofing nails aren't always good for roof jacks sometimes the heads of the nail pops off, just a safety tip! Use 6teen penny just like the other comments said.
Garden City to be 100% honest, any tool belt with a removable belt that detaches from the pouches will work with any harness that has a removable waist strap. I can do a video on how to set it up if you’d like?
Joe Shmoe the brand in the video is husky. This pouch is available at Home Depot. There are other like it that are a bit pricey made by Milwaukee and Kuny’s. Both not pouch but break the $100 threshold that a lot of guys don’t wanna cross.
eric frost Absolutely but it will dull them out and basically render them useless for any steel or aluminum. We used red long handle tin shears in the winter time when shingles begin to freeze up.
Hell yeah.. I noticed that in the thumbnail.. at first I thought it wasn't him, but as soon as I heard the voice, I'm like yup, that's Dilly Wacker 🤣🤣 Jk Jk.. You look good with a nice grill.. no homo
Kevin Steich my truck isn’t much as we have an enclosed trailer for all our tools, but that’s BDRs personal trailer and not mine. My truck is a perfect set up for a beginning contractor. But I can still do a video on it!
You know ur not supposed to put roofing nails in jacks.....they can break i seen it happen......always use 16d nails in your Jacks everyone please be safe....
We don't use hatchet hammers so we can pull step. Jesus fuck. It's because shingles used to be made of wood.( still are of course ) It splits the shakes to the rights size... step flash....holy shit.
If this comment saves 1 person from buying the Estwing tool belt w suspenders I'll be happy. Do NOT buy this sorry excuse for a belt. It is the ultimate piece of shizz...
joann defauw so every time you need a tool you gotta move for it? I can’t work without it on. That’s why I like the suspenders attached. Helps save the back and hips a little.
@@Average_Roofer I generally only need my knife and snips and nails. I lay the nails out with my bundles. The knife is always beside me on the roof and if I need the snips say for step flash it's up on the bundles beside the step flash that I need to go grab anyways
joann defauw that’s fair, I personally don’t prefer that method. But everyone is different. Like @WorldsFastestShingler for example, doesn’t wear a pouch either.
First off who wears a pouch when roofing. Fuxk that shit. And imma Fuckn beast bud. No chalk lines aloud. Most important tool on a roof Is the radio and myself
It’s crazy how much that changed you man congratulations
I already have tape measure and utility knife that’s all I need for now cause I’m ground guy but sometimes I’ll cut things if needed before I climb up with it
You're all set then my man! I recommend carrying a hammer as well, you'll thank me one day!
@@Average_Roofer sounds good cause I did have to pull nails out of wood to make more room yesterday to add more wood from the worn out roof
Roofing nails aren't always good for roof jacks sometimes the heads of the nail pops off, just a safety tip! Use 6teen penny just like the other comments said.
True that, seen that many many times. 16s don't work unless you hit the studs. Seen those wiggle out as well
Are you putting roof jacks in without hitting studs?
Love tour videos brother!!!! Keep it up please please make a video on how to check for square and how to fix it so your rows get straight!
Jorge Ponce will do buddy! Thanks for watching!

Chris Parmenter best bags EVER!
I don't think so. There's another good brand on market. Rex Tool bags. Excellent quality and modern design. Check them out!
Love my occidental best purchase I ever made for trades work 💯
Cool vid! What harness you guys wear? Seems the BDR has one where pouches fit on the harness looks like a good idea...

@@Average_Roofer please make a video on it . It'll be very helpful 👍😊 thank you
William Lacroix Done! Check back in a couple days, I’ll make some time to record it!
@@Average_Roofer awesome . Thank you . You guys are great
What brand of pouch is that? I like that setup.

I dont keep all them nails that i dont need in my pouch. Need room for the bush beers
James Loft I got a spot left for the beverages 😅

what pouch is this ?
You forgot your Dilldo dilly whacker
Dude... you got your teeth fixed?!?
dicer boy just the tops, gotta go get the bottoms done now
MARK'S HELMET like 80% of roofers need some kind of dental work 😂
Hell yeah.. I noticed that in the thumbnail.. at first I thought it wasn't him, but as soon as I heard the voice, I'm like yup, that's Dilly Wacker 🤣🤣 Jk Jk.. You look good with a nice grill.. no homo
I can’t find a pouch with a hook anywhere!!
U use 16s to hang jacks. Dont use smaller ones n kill your workers.
Frank Galager never had anyone fall off a roof I’ve been on. “Knock on wood”.
@@Average_Roofer you need to use 16s man. Not roofing nails haha.
Tyler LaCasse we have always used 3 inch roofing nails. Never had an issue using 4-6 nails.
@@Average_Roofer I suppose. We just sink 2 16s or 3 depending on the pitch. Your way saves boss man money thats for sure.
I keep clicking thinking it’s bdr.
But stayed for the info even though I am no roofer.
Nic , appreciate the view. Glad you enjoyed! 👍🏼
I want to see a truck setup video
Kevin Steich my truck isn’t much as we have an enclosed trailer for all our tools, but that’s BDRs personal trailer and not mine. My truck is a perfect set up for a beginning contractor. But I can still do a video on it!
Your Average Roofer that would be cool
All BDR needs is a Tawnya fart in his mouth. Bigg time!!
Crapeater come on let me get one of those Hoodies Sun.Big Tyyyymme
I personally never used a tape on a roof or needed to snap lines
Garnet Smith this is general for all roofing applications. Not sure for shingles.
You know ur not supposed to put roofing nails in jacks.....they can break i seen it happen......always use 16d nails in your Jacks everyone please be safe....
Lukasz Tekielak I’ve used them for 7 years, never an issue. You are right about the heads snapping, but it’s rare as we put approx 6 nails per jack.
You're either first or last..... Lol j/k. Good video
Chad Barrett hahaha what a great movie! 😂 “I wake up in the morning and piss excellence”
@@Average_Roofer damn right. Roof on......
Guys never laid a shingle in his life, doesn't even have a doob tube or cozy for a beer on his belt. Hack
Jay Moolah that’s in my other pouch 😂😂
His backdoor pouch....
Why wouldn't u put gold underlayment behind you, rather then the non gold.
Oh yeah average.
