I tried few shades of foundation from Mac studio fix fountain range. I couldn’t find my perfect match as most of the warm shades are warm peach except NC42, but my perfect shade is NC35 but it also oxides after few hours and looks dark on my skin as it’s warm peach. Hope this helps you :)

At Mac the woman tested out the foundation shades on me and concluded that NC 35 is my perfect match and convinced me to buy it. I brought it considering her expertise while I was still a little skeptical about it. And when I got back home and tried it in day light, it looked too peachy on my skin. Though I made it work mixing it up with a yellow pigment I was highly disappointed. When you invest in such luxury brands you expect a hassle free outcome. These Mac shades are way too confusing sometimes and you can easily be misled especially if you are a beginnner!

@@aasthapatel9438 best thing is to gain knowledge about shades, undertones, know about our skin, try and test different products on our face, and decide for ourselves which one suits us. Cannot blindly follow these people.
Omg same thing happened with me. Nc35 was just not my shade, it's way too peachy. Luckily I waited for few minutes before purchasing and watched it getting oxidized. I never bought it
Try nc 25..it will match..when the foundation oxidizes apply one shade light to ur original foundation color and it will match

Hi! The shades with MAC are tricky but they are apt for most part, the powder concealer and liquid are different colors but they are meant to be that way, the powder and concealers are supposed to be a bit lighter than foundation to brighten certain areas and so that it balances the oxydisation(which happens within a few minutes of application) But since you used the powder bit darker than liquid it oxidised so much. These products come all together once they are applied.
Yes... Powders are supplementary to the foundations to cover up the oxidation and to give matte finish

So i tried all the NCs because I am indian.. turns out nothing matches.. then i tried NWs.. nd NW20 matched me perfectly.

Use NC 30 concealer under your eyes, NC 35 concealer to cover any blemishes in other areas of your face, and then use, NC 43 Studio Fix powder. It will come out perfect. I never use foundation, and it comes out perfect. This was suggested to me by the MAC lady when I went in and sat in the chair, and it is perfect. I have been doing it just this way for years.

@@susmitadutta3423 Do what works best for you. A little bit goes a long way. I also like the multi color concealer pallet which includes the colors I mentioned. I actually like the formula of that better than what I originally mentioned. You can try this first as well as I stated, it contains all the mentioned colors, and use the same powder to finish. This way you only ourchase two products. Good luck.

Nidhi - your video was super helpful. I was trying to see if there were any South Asian women who had tried various shades. I always get matched as NC40 by the MAC artist. I assume it’s because they think all South Asians wear the same shade! My mum jokes it looks a bit too orange dear ;) I think I’ll try the NC35. It’s difficult finding the right shade and the women represented on the UK website look like they’re from different ethnic backgrounds, none look South Asian. It is really orange! Lol I’m using NC35 it looks a lot better but I still feel it’s a little orange but I can manage it. And with concealer it looks good. They also always match me with NC40. Im Mexican and it’s super orange on my skin.

Try NW35 too! At the store, cover one half of your face with NW35 and the other half with NC35. Write down in your phone which side of your face is NC and which side is NW. Then, wait to see how it looks after it oxidizes in a few hours. Then go in and buy the one that fits you the best
They have matched me with shade Nc 41 where other stores like Nykaa has matched me with NC 30 & I have wasted a whopping 6000/- on their products

You are absolutely right..I have the same feeling regarding my foundation shades..yellow based foundations suit me the best..but I see my shades in neutral ones..and it becomes ashy near my mouth area . thanks for sharing this video
Honey! Foundation is just a base, to avoid ashyness you may need an orange color corrector, especially if you are using yellow base foundation because that can emphasise pigmentations.
@@shayiniyadav5158 Yes..I do..but still yellow based foundations looks so perfectly fine on my face..just like I have not done alot on my face...but others with neutral tones looks so made-up and also they oxidise into some funny colours like face doesn't look one face... basically not natural nd well merged into the skin😂😂
Ayesha Jabeen I can totally understand that, yellow base foundations are generally very flattering when blended properly. Also some brands "neutral" is not so neutral and kinda browny & with us south asian skintones it doesn't sit well too.

DO NOT BUY from india, ive felt the quality is better and pigmented when bought from another country like us, dubai eTc and this I say after trying a lot of mac foundations from india, the quality has a lot of difference as the color completely changes and pigments really well when its boughT from another country

Suits sensitive skin ? Does mac studio fix fluid foundation give any breakouts for sensitive skin??
Personally i didn’t like this foundation. It gave me breakouts right away. But their powder foundation didn’t break me out. For sensitive skin, I recommend buying NARS (it’s more expensive though).
Tip -- Mix some amount of powdered foundation with a white undertone WITH the liquid foundation shade , almost similar to your neck and forehead. Add some oil-based liquid cream , to make it flowy & a lil' runny.
Wear this on your face. Do not do heavy make-up. If you don't know your shade... Do what I wrote above and then apply a light layer of it.
IT WILL WORK , HOPE IT HELPS YOU.. Anything for my Indian girls struggling with foundation shades..🙏🏼🙏🏻

Hi, is NC37 darker than NC35? Because I'm trying to buy one for myself. I'm light to medium with warm undertone. Almost similar to Nidhi. I'm afraid NC30 would be lighter on me.

@@harshitabafila it was the same case for me I was an NC 40 but currently using NC 37, since it's a high end brand it's my personal suggestion to swatch and buy, however if your current foundations are apt for you then you can try findations.com, MOST of their shades recommendations are accurate

I used to use this foundation when I was 18 years old, more than 10 years on, I'm thinking of going back, no other brand (not even Nars) has this colour range. using a foundation slightly darker is way better than using a foundation thats too light. after highlighting and using powder your face already gets lighter
