This vision of jewelry, this audacity, and this unique creativity are still as present today.
The lion is the talisman for CHANEL jewelry, representing Gabrielle Chanel, born August 19, 1883, under the sign of Leo.
The camellia, a decorative element so often used by Mademoiselle, transcends its status of flower to become an icon of CHANEL.
Gabrielle Chanel lived out her existence within a few Parisian blocks - her townhouse at 29 Faubourg Saint-Honoré, her boutique at 31 rue Cambon, her suite at the Ritz overlooking Place Vendôme and 18 Place Vendôme, the home of CHANEL High Jewelry.
The size and quality of gemstones are of primary focus, evoking Gabrielle Chanel’s focus on stones, with her original codes imbued in every detail. The emerald-cut diamond represents Place Vendôme, the form of the Navette personifies an ear of wheat and the round-cut diamond, the heart of the iconic camellia.

Aaaah...Chanel was so ahead of her time. The camellia is still so much better than the flower with four petals that so many, even eilte jewelry, houses do. And the fauna collection, breathtaking. I love that she used yellow gold as well, I get so bored even with stunning pieces always being set in white gold or platinum. Could this woman make a mistake in her creations? I dont think so.
