Natural ; perfectly Round ; The oysters were impregnated by God , not by man !! not cultured is what I’m trying to say he paid $300,000 for that in 2015 so they must be going up in price for south sea natural pearls anyway it has a clasp ; that looks like a little small disco ball !! I had a ring with a south sea pearl on it that I loved and wore often. One day, sitting at the bar in a restaurant waiting for a table, I looked down and it was GONE! We looked everywhere. Thank you, this was very interesting and informative. I had no idea that pearls were so varied in source and colour. The examples of jewellery shown were stunningly beautiful.
Here in the South (USA), a girl’s first real piece of jewelry is usually a string of pearls given by her father at her sixteenth birthday. Frequently, it is a family heirloom from a grandparent or prior generation. Subsequent major events include gifts of pearls. Such as a triple strand to wear for her wedding.
That's a lovely tradition. I'm from Australia and we don't really have any jewellery traditions except that we'd all like to get some Australian Opal. My mother bought herself a string of lovely fine Cultured Pearls when she started her first job. Unfortunately, she has never passed them down to myself despite being the only daughter and the fact that my mother can not wear them anymore as they are too small. She keeps them sitting around a French Antique Doll's neck and has done for decades. I got to wear them once and the topic has never been brought up since. As someone who dearly loves jewellery, I find this such a waste and an insult from my mother. I certainly hope that you had more luck than myself.
@@krisushi1 I understand how you feel, but maybe because it represents a job she felt good about getting and a lot of self esteem to her she loves seeing them daily. It must be hard not to be able to wear them anymore. 😞
@@vikinghart Unfortunately, they have no sentimental value to her at all. It's been about 50yrs that she hasn't worn then. I have no memory of her ever wearing them nor in any photos. It's such ashame that they just sit there when they could cause me such joy and be appreciated.

How will u know if the pearls its real or fake or plastic, coz i buy in a cheaper price last yr in palawan phillipines ...and my friend ask about tht and she told me tht u srach in ur teeth .
Hello dear, your are right you can use your teeth, but you can also rub two pearls to each other, if the rubbing is smooth then it is fake, because the real ones when you rub it with each other it is like rubbing sandpaper. 🤗
Cultured pearls are like diamonds- advertising hype more than rarity. Until one sees the depth and beautiful luster of a gem grade natural pearl, then one will understand the scam that is perpetrated by the cultured pearl industry and run-of-the-mill chain jewellery shops.
It's not a scam, we know we are buying cultured pearls. There is no way in this world that we could afford natural ones. Your statement is way off beam. If I want to have pearls, they are going to be cultured. I have some beautiful cultured pearls. Even so, they are worth a great deal of money now as I bought well. Go away silly man.
@1:53 Beautiful!! However, without strong wires it is for balls melted in strong acids, our stomack acidification(= Wie- San- Goa- Da/ ....) as marvel sculpting with acid. Chinese kept all secrets of human history ar-chives/ R-ch-iv-ees as grass & Bamboo fields from moss(= EE- KKey). EEl & Moss molded our discomforting human histories from the water lakes to bottom ditches.
Y lo mejor de todo es que me aumentan el ultrasonido a todo chorro.😁 Con desirles que ahora mismo tengo los oídos tapados como si hubiera subido al Everest . Aaa y también me pone como si me hubiera tomado 5 cervezas 😁
I got a Rare Pearl for ya, theres a highly endangered fresh water river creek Clam, in the states that only has a range of a few creeks and a river. I got s Pearl from a one and its Amazing! It has a white luster with a Brilliant Purple/blue veins. Has too be rarer than any of these examples. and sits around 7 ish Karats. Been researching, and still no known examples have been shown.. so if theres 800 of these clams in the wild..... and one in a couple thousand probily a couple 100 k .... It stands too be the rarest pearl on earth...
it take more than hundred years for the giant clams to grow and they are killed just so the pearls they may have can be harvested? i hope they didnt have to be killed to extract the pearl.. Giant clams make the oceans look more grandiose, ancient, untouchable, precious and exceptional because that is their home and we as visitors must leave them be and just enjoy the sight and not PLUNDER as many do.
Blister pearls are considered fake. South black pearls never ever are pure black. If so someone dyed it. Giant pearls are expensive because of their size and rarity. RArely if ever are they carved. I would rate the you tube a five. Go to other video that give you better information.
This video is so informative. I’ve always been so fascinated with pearls, I’m even more now. I own several types of pearls, and I still add to my collection.
Its, not it’s, please. You ONLY use ‘it’s’ when you are contracting ‘it is’. All other times you use ‘its’ without the apostrophe: The kitten licked its paw- NO APOSTROPHE. If you are going to put a video on UA-cam, please make the effort to get your punctuation, grammar and spelling correct. And it’s (it is, remember) spelt AUSTRALIA, not Austria with an ‘lia’ tacked on the end. Not hard to get it right. It detracts from any professionalism. And Australia does have the best pearls in the world. Twenty years ago, I saw a single short string of flawless pinky-white South Sea pearls of approximately 20mm diameter with the most magnificent lustre in a Sydney jeweller’s window with a price tag of $875,000.

I dont know ANYONE who recieved a string of pearls for her 16th birthday.
Hoping someday I may have a mikimoto pearl 💍
that is a very good plan...
WHY? THEY ARE OVERPRICED, AND AS OVER ICONED AS TIFFANY'S PRODUCTS. GO FOR PERSPALEY OF AUSTRALIA. BIGGER, NICE AND GORGEOUS!

😁
Y aún a Si

I love Pearls ❤️❤️❤️❤️😘😘😘
Everyone loves pearls, i mean what there not to like 🤗
Still the queen mother of all, the pearl in its elegance is simply stunning. Thank you.
Yup she is ☺️
How will u know if the pearls its real or fake or plastic, coz i buy in a cheaper price last yr in palawan phillipines ...and my friend ask about tht and she told me tht u srach in ur teeth .
Hello dear, your are right you can use your teeth, but you can also rub two pearls to each other, if the rubbing is smooth then it is fake, because the real ones when you rub it with each other it is like rubbing sandpaper. 🤗
I would suggest getting a professional opinion so that you know for sure and won't be continually wondering.
When it's not gliterring in the dark then it's fake.True pearls or true diamonds shines ,glitters even in the dark.

Hello there, Samir Khan, thank you so much for dropping by. I am so glad you enjoyed it.
Beautiful
And so are you dear. 🤗
Cultured pearls are like diamonds- advertising hype more than rarity.
Until one sees the depth and beautiful luster of a gem grade natural pearl, then one will understand the scam that is perpetrated by the cultured pearl industry and run-of-the-mill chain jewellery shops.
K wong how are you thank you so much for dropping by. I totally agree with your statement 🤗
7charlierox hmmmm, i was pointing out to the Chinese fresh water cultured pearls..😌
I own 5 pounds of pearls. My favorite is my golden south seas just 3 but beautiful just the same. I would love the Blues. I have blacks and silvers.

Pearl my first 16th birthday present from my mother.
The mexican pearls from Mar de Cortéz are si beutiful tío.
Thank you for the beautiful video.
Hello there Isabel, thank you so much for dropping by.
it take more than hundred years for the giant clams to grow and they are killed just so the pearls they may have can be harvested? i hope they didnt have to be killed to extract the pearl..
Beautiful. Pearls are my birthstone,. Roses my birth flower..
So beautiful. 🙏✌👆🙌😇🌍
Brilliant and very inspiring..thank you 💖🙏🌷🦢🦢🦢

I own several types of pearls, and I still add to my collection.

Olá, obrigado por ter aparecido. Estou feliz que você tenha se divertido.
So why do some call both Melo pearls and Queen Conch pearls Quahog ???
Got me sum 🐚 for my jewelry collection
These are all so beautiful. Too bad living creatures have to die for our pearls 😕
They sometimes because they failed to mummify the parasite that got in them so they died
Pearls are mummified parasites
Well I looked it up it'd says the die but they are eaten. Just like fish, crab, lobsters, etc.
I love Pearls and have quite a few of them, they are my birthstone.
Pearls are beautiful and so are you
My name is Pearl. I am currently pregnant and I'm naming my daughter Akoya after the Akoya Pearl 🥰
I really stand corrected 😞
I love everything pearls❤️.
@3:01 I believe you mean "nacre" nay-ker instead of nah-sir
A beautiful production, thank you.
Many thanks!
