I love that the fandom has done just a complete 180 on Arven. He was universally hated cause he was such a jerk, and then.

Mikey panicky “what gym do i go for” and trying to get to Grusha when they’re the strongest gym is really funny
Grusha was my fourth gym lmao
Your right. It's the hardest by far, my team got destroyed despite having two firetypes some pokemon with rock moves and strong pokemon

Arven's story is so damn sad and wholesome and it kills me. My boyfriend judged Arven much like Mikey did and ended up yelling at me (jokingly) how could I not warn him of the sad doggo story. He absolutely loves dogs. I got a great laugh and told him he had to suffer the same emotions I had to when I experienced it for the first time myself.

Close favorites are Tera Steel and Tera Dragon.
Is it just me or did they get smaller? Like in the trailers they seamed ridiculous but they look normal in the games?
I didn't know what mabosstif looked like yet, so when I got to this part I saw an old dog and straight up started crying.

Advice. Use the wild pokemon near the gym towns as a difficulty indicator. The leaders are roughly 2 levels about the wild pokemon near their city/ Test
huh. thanks for this, i'll be keeping this in mind :)
Interesting
I did the same exact thing
Thanks for that. I never had problems with the gym leaders yet but, I did have issues with team star was a bit under leveled for the battle. On my 2nd time, I was able to win with my dashbun. The ai was smart though and never used a fire move after it didn't effect her. All she used against me after that was screech and Swift. I could take like 5 or 6 swift's before I had to heal. It was a long battle but I made it
Yeah. For the most part. Looking at you cloudy gym! >:U
Interesting fact
Clodsire´s spikes are based on real thing some salamanders do. They can pierce they´r ribs through skin and use it as defence mechanism. The skin regenerates fast so its not harmful for them but it´s still crazy.
(i think it fits more to a pokem that to a real life animal to do)
interesting, so the arvin cutscenes are in order regardless, but the powers koridon gains depends on the titan you defeat
oh wow did not know that
I was surprised too. I got swimming as my first one so seeing Michael get the sprint was interesting to see.
The Kuraidon/Miraidon powers remind me of the champion powers Link gets in Breath of the Wild. They are tied to defeating certain bosses.
Arven being so angry makes a lot of sense with what this poor boy is going through. He's grieving, frustrated, and jealous.
I totally get why he acts the way he does in the very beginning.
Unless you've already replaced it by the time I comment this, I suggest keeping Clodsire on the team. Mine served me well, thanks to its access to Earthquake, its high HP stat and few weaknesses. It may have a pretty low BST but being able to set up toxic spikes and destroy any pokemon weak or Ground or Poison with Earthquake and Sludge wave is great. It also learns Hyper Beam, and is adorable.
Yeah, mine was 10 levels under the elite 4 and champion levels and he still tanked multiple hits

You can ask the nurse for advice on where to go but she has told me to go fight something almost +20 levels higher than me instead of the stuff that was actually me level at a different part of the map. Also seeing all the bird pokemon you can find at the beginning is going to make Team Sky very happy.
The nurse is pretty useless, she'll only give directions to the closest events from the PC location, I was told to defeat Grusha with a lv 37 team because I'm close to the mountain
Well, she's nurse joy. Obviously she wants your Pokémon to get defeated so she can take care of them again.
Even though Clodsire has a low bst, it's still a great Pokemon that can actually carry you through over half of the game, and even when it's not carrying, it's a very good team member. Clodsire is not weak!
Yes it is weak...
@@jadentaylor1686 It's really not. One of the E4 literally has one as their final pokemon, so if it's good enough for one of the strongest trainers in the region to use for an assessment test then it's strong enough to be a staple member of your own team.
Unfortunately, I'd have to disagree
Clodsire is a great wall I'll give you that, but for an in game playthrough, offenses are your main stat that you're looking for
Because why stall an enemy if a strong attacker with type advantage can two shot em?
It's a bunch of time needlessly wasted
Stalling just isn't fun on a playthrough, at least imo

I swear the design team must have been constantly hungry during their planning meetings. Almost everything in this game is about food!
Well think how bad it must be for the devs who make Cooking Momma. That's an actual cooking game.
No idea when he records these, but just a tip for y'all: Terra Raid battles are by FAR your best source of income in this game. They very commonly give you stardust and pearls depending on the mon you fight, and those add up quick. You also get stat boosting feathers to help EV train your team a bit, so fight as many as you can!
I will say, the classes do actually provide useful information within the game, in addition to being fun and easy. 10/10 recommend.
Basically the in-game explanation, up to and including acknowledging shiny Pokemon and the odds of getting one... still need to check out the rest of the classes to see if they mention Effort Values. If they do, then it's a good thing they put that info in the game finally.
Most important is perhaps the Languages and History, but the best reward might be the Nurse.
@@kereminde Math talks about the exact numbers for STAB, Crits, and Boosting. I always thought STAB and Crit was double, but it's 1.5x. And the Boosting math is most complex than I thought! I really learned something in those classes.

I was not expecting a Pokemon game of all things to hit me in the feels the wya Arven's story did. Amazing job Nintendo, you genuinely created a Pokemon game that made me care.
I would've given Katy a Fidough as her non-bug Tera pokemon. Goes much better with her patisserie theme
I heard it supposed to be in reference to a Bugbear which is a DnD thing? Idk
It’s a Teddiursa because they like Combee honey, and because it terastalizes, it’s a “bug bear”! ☺️
As soon as I saw Mabostiff I had his quests as my top priority and it's great that others agree.
i think she terastalizes teddiursa because it's always taking honey from combee and vespiquen! it's mentioned in the dex how it eats so much honey that its paws are always sweet. a weak connection, but it's a connection.

I don't know if it's just my inner nerd, but when she uses Teddiursa to terastalize into a bug my brain immediately went to "Bugbears" in d&d despite them not being related to bugs nor bears.
Each titan always give you 'their' ability. Bombirdier gives swimming, Klawf dashing, etc. I actually did Bombirdier first and was surprised to realise this, i was actually quite surprised SWIMMING was the 'first' ability.

I hit the end credits last night, and I gotta say...
This has been the most enjoyable mainline Pokémon experience I've had in recent memory. Yes, it runs like garbage at times, but it was just so enjoyable exploring Paldea that I found myself not caring.

Clodsire is surprisingly useful throughout the playthrough, heck I'm still using him and he hasn't fallen behind even at level 60, cheers to my boy Mudbog
I was gonna say, If you want Armorouge you have to go waaaay out of your way to get the item to evolve it.
Depends on where you decide to take your journey in Paldea
Since I played Violet it was a lot harder for me because unlike Bronzor, Sinistea is very hard to find.
@@trainerlsw Yeah I'm playing Scarlet, so I have my Armorouge, but what WAS annoying was finding Dawn stone so I could get Gallade.
So, Mikey. I know you tend to not include postgame content. And I know that usually postgame is defined as anything that happens after the league. That is NOT the case here. There is more stuff to be done before the credits actually roll, and I think it would be a tragic missed opportunity if we didn't get to see your genuine on-screen reaction to this last leg of the main story. Not sure if you were already aware of this, just wanted to get that out there in any case.
Hi KT! Curious if KT will ever do like an editors commentary of how many times they have face palmed when ever Mikey goofs or just pop in randomly putting an arrow on every passed item or shiny I don’t know just throwing out random ideas. I like it when editors and content creators interact during videos but that’s just me.
The order of the events should be:

Grass gym
Flying titan
Dark crew
Electric gym
Fire crew
Steel titan
Water gym
Poison crew
Normal gym
Ghost gym
Ground titan
Psychic gym
Ice gym
Fairy crew
Dragon titan
Fighting crew
Hope this helps!!! Love you Mikey!!
I'm shocked Mikey didn't go for Scovillain, given its type was his most wanted
Most likely because the type overlaps with Armarouge
Yeah I think after the second titan, we were all abruptly more invested in Arven's story than any other xD also I do the same thing with terastallized pokemon all the time! I always go for their actual type and totally forget that it's their tera type I have to fight xD
Starting 30:40, this interaction is so funny to me and I don't know why
Just to remind Mikey that if you catch your pokemon at a low level, and level I up until above the limit, it will not disobey you and still obeys you 100% of the time
Mikey you could still keep Annihilape on the team since when your terrastilize (hopefully I said that right), you become a single typed pokemon. Since Quaxly's Terrastilize type is water, every time you use it you become pure water. You'll still keep ypur fighting STAB, but your type will just be pure water. This gives space for Annihilape (who I also think is badass)
Youre probably not gonna read my comment anyway so yeah 😅
The duck has learned Quack-Fu.
I cannot wait for Michael to see the new forms later in the game… if you’ve seen it you know what I’m talking about
He probably already knows, he said he looked at the new Pokémon
I find Nacli’s name amusing. Cause NaCl. It’s a salt rock. The team did really good at naming things this Gen
Edit: NOOOOO THERES A SICK DOG PLOTLINE, I DIDNT EXPECT TO CRY OVER A POKÉMON GAME
Here's a fun fact. One of the teachers used to be a Rock-type Gym leader, you only learn it by doing classes though.

*"That's not how physics works"*
Gigantic animals are being put into small metal balls
I think you can subvert your expectations a bit here Mikey 😅
I will say that one thing I loved about this game is that you cannot tell the types used by the elite four by looking at them
Ngl I thought Poppy was going to be ghost type because of the yellow X on her hat
I just finished the titan path (this is my first one complete) and felt so emotional this was the most flushed out story by far.
Btw, Nacli is named that way because NaCl is the salt you use to cook
If any Pokétuber caught this on their own, I would expect Mikey to.
Also Mikey, I hope that you play the Post-Game this time around.
These videos are so entertaining, I like them even more than live streams to be honest

" *I WILL HELP YOU, ARVEN* "
Mikey is all of us dog lovers after finding out about Arven's backstory 😭
Looking back, I still stand by that instead of Tediurssa Katie should have had a Fidough as her Tera.
Hey Mikey just so you know there is a ghimmighoul on the windmill with the rare candy
varoom is gendered, how does an engine have a gender?
Maybe that greatball from the white herba mystica cave was one of those magical models in games that somehow keeps a game from falling apart. It's weird, but they exist
If you do wanna use a previous gen Pokemon, I would really recommend scizor! It's cool and I don't think you've used it in a vanilla playthrough before.
I do remember laZORus though. What a legend.
When you said Power Ranger, it made me remember that we lost Tommy Oliver. Rest in peace, Green Ranger
I would have thought Katy would have Trapinch or Vibrava since they are very bug like, but no they decided not to include the Flygon line in Paldea.
Don’t sleep on Clodsire…. It may not have the BST, but it’s well allocated enough for a solid play through.
These are supposedly the orders for the gym
1. Katy (Bug) - 15
2. Brassius (Grass) - 17
3. Iono (Electric) - 24
4. Kofu (Water) - 30
5. Larry (Normal) - 36
6. Ryme (Ghost) - 42
7. Tulip (Psychic) - 45
8. Grusha (Ice) - 48
I just beat the game this morning, and I've gotta say, I'm excited to see Mikey's reaction to it. My mouth was wide open the whole time.
Mikey, Iono's town works as a bridge between Northeast and Southeast Paldea
A team sky playthrough of Scarlet would be amazing
So... Not only does he not realize that Varoom is A Poison/Steel Type... BUT HE ALSO FACED A GYM TRAINER WITH THE SAME NAME AS HIM!
