Great job man. You have some good purchase prices. I would hold onto the Elijah Craig 18. That’s a really hard find. Madeira is a fortified wine like port
Man I like bookers it’s one of the more accessible allocations out there. The price can be wild though depending on the market. What’s the bourbon scene like in Australia!?
Wow! That's some nice scores!!! Living in an ABC state, Alabama, I've not seen a lot of those bottles. Through a store lottery I was recently able buy a Rock Hill Farms for $65. Would love to find a James E Pepper, 1924,...
I’ve seen some of Alabama’s drops. Those things are re massive but it’s all about having the time and being lucky to win the draw. I wish I could come and experience one but I think an Alabama license is required right?
Great haul, i think the rock hill farms is the steal of the picks. I haven't seen that bottle for under $199 anywhere. It blows Blanton's away imo. That james e pepper is really good i found mine for $60 in Murfreesboro, tn but im sure they have definitely went up lol
Nice haul! Especially on that “Reverend” Elijah Craig 18. Very distinguished simply for the barreling 1997. I had graduated high school just two years earlier! That juice got some age. I would imagine that oak note will be rich
@@The_UnbottledI understand! I have quite a few uncorked. I’m a collector and consumer of both cigars and bourbon. I would sit on that 18 for sure. Unless the occasion is special enough for a pour
@@The_Unbottled you killed it with that RHF for 63. People here in MI. find that for 250 and they get excited. My brother in law got one for 100 and that is unheard of. The Weller Full Proof for 100. Good for you.
Just got a bottle last week of J E Pepper from KY., have not opened it yet. Was one I wanted when I went there. Paid 63 at a Total Wine in Lexington. I am excited to try it soon.
Good Job. Nice haul!!!! Just a suggestion, nbd but I am not sure I would have the fan right over your head as it could be a bit distracting to the video.
You certainly got lucky with the Elijah Craig dusty. That store must have miss placed that bottle. You have some very good bottles and you do you as far as purchase it’s your money.
Great haul! Barrell Seagrass is so good. For me, I'd pass on the EC Jack at the proof & the price. There's no way I'd pass on that Elijah Craig, close to your birth year bottle. Great video! Cheers Kevin
Congrats on the haul brotha. My .02 would be to educate your wife on bourbon hunting and what fair prices are because $300 for Weller CYPB just isn’t worth it, in my opinion. I understand FOMO is real in this bourbon game but there’s plenty of other wheated bourbons out there that are under $100 (Makers Mark, Bardstown Origin Series, Larceny).
That’s a fair statement, but the story behind the CYPB comes from my pre-wedding video I posted. She got it because of what happened during that video. Now if you’re trying to finish a collection, what’s the most you’d pay for the last bottle needed?
@@The_Unbottled I gotcha. It all depends…I feel like that’s a loaded question lol. I’ve been collecting/hunting for about two years now. Since I live in a gov’t controlled state, I’ve gotten majority of my bottles at MSRP. Since I have won any BTACs/Pappys in the state lottery, if I saw one in the wild, I’d probably pay up to $400-$450 depending which bottle it is.
Ahhh gotcha! Most stores do drops at close to MSRP. Some keep bottles on the shelf at an elevated price but keep the general stock lower. I got my lot b for $150 last year.
Good Bourbons......But I don't believe in spending more than $80 for any Spirit. After Spirits are bottled they don't age anymore you have a few that are worth a pour(for me) but not a buy. Nice...sip slowly my friend. 🥃
I believe a lot are worth a lot more. I struggle justifying bourbon over maybe 150….but scotch gets crazy in price, and a 30 year single malt is special. Especially when you get into some of the big brands. I’ve spent well over 1k before for a bottle of high age stated scotch.
I came from scotch as-well so my spirit limit price is pretty high. But I refuse to pay over MSRP. I have more bottles than I can drink. I will buy nearly anything outside like OFC and michter’s 20 as long as I can get it at MSRP.
You cleaned up!! Just found your page. I really like your content. Already subscribed, keep it coming.
Thanks for the sub! Welcome to the show 🥃
Great video bro! You have started out with a outstanding haul brother!! Keep the videos coming..
Thanks for the support! There’s a new video coming out every Monday 🥃
James E. Pepper is legit! I also love Barrel's Seagrass, it's a completely unique expression. 👍🏼
I completely agree! Thank you for the support 🥃
Great hall young man! Keep it up cheers 🍹
Thank you! Wait until you see this months recap 👀🥃
I probably wouldn't wanna open some bottles as I'm a collector as well but as a drinker I know we wanna try it all 😅
Haha yea man I definitely try to keep my “collection” full by finding back ups so I can crack all of them 😅
Great job man. You have some good purchase prices. I would hold onto the Elijah Craig 18. That’s a really hard find. Madeira is a fortified wine like port
I googled it as soon as I finished recording haha. I’ve been considering not opening it either.
Sucks Booker's export here in Australia don't even come in a nice wooden box lol .but cheers mate good start to 2024.cheers 🥃

Great haul! Where did you find all of these great bottles at such great prices? I am jealous!
Man honestly it’s a mix of being lucky and visiting different locations and cities. It’s not always like this 😅

@@The_Unbottled Yes, must show proof of residence for the drops. I've applied for the ABC quarterly lottery 3 or 4 times, but have never been drawn.
Don’t give up! all It takes is 1 time to grab your unicorn 🥃
Great pickups man! First quarter looking exceptional!
Thank you! Hopefully we can keep the momentum going! Which bottle did I do the best with?
@@The_Unbottled man that RHF was a total steal! Lol I got a bottle in January but paid $225 smh but that and the CYPB are the hitters for me!

Enjoy that goodness
Congrats on your wedding…..👏

Thanks for the support Kevin! I had to grab the EC 18 not often you find one that old unopened.
The price for the Rockhill Farms is insane. It is 100% worth it. Can't find for less than 250 where I'm at and blows ETL and Blantons away
Awesome!!! I cannot wait to try it. Thank you for the input 🥃
Nice selection!
All you need now is a new drinking friend named Jake!!! 😂
Haha let me know if you know of any Jake’s that like good pours of bourbon 🤣🥃
@@The_Unbottled I know a guy!!!
If you’re ever in Tennessee reach out
I am supposed to be in Memphis the weekend of May 11
Still about 6 hours from me
