With all the upgrades and running E85 stronger clutch springs are in order. On another note since the 14R was running a 17/40 setup he wasn't doing himself a good service, because the 14R doesn't open up until 7K RPM and by running a 40T rear put him well under the power band where he need to be at when roll racing, especially if the starting speeds are
To compete with the super sport "liter" bike, you MUST at minimum, lighten & re-gear that heavy ass bike!! I found tremendous street fighting success & victory with my 14, with the following gear set: -1/+1(16/42), on a 2009 ZX-14. So for YOUR year 14, I would experiment with 16/43-44. You have to make that "HEAVY BITCH" QUICKER, NOT faster!! Get it??? AND FFS, put a set of new "racing" shoes on her, so that she can run like Secretariat!! Those "shoes" would be the undeniable BST's with Ceramic Bearings!! You will SKY WALK, those bitch-boy liter bikes, if you change the setup on your 14 from sport tourer, to "competition" ready. As she is setup now, you're not "ready". Sorry to be brutally honest, but I know what needs to be done here. TAKE OUT that HEAVY-ASS Battery(12+ lbs), FCOL!!, and go with a Lithium!(2+ lbs). Try'na help you out, 14 ridah! 💚👊🏾

After THAT, . . . lighten the bike as FAR as you can "safely" go!(a lithium battery alone, can cut weight "up to" 10 #'s!!) But my "BEST" recommendation "of all time" . . . BST wheels with ceramic bearings!! They cost, but it is $$$(money) "well spent". You will NEVER regret, having a set of high quality C.F. wheels on your moto. 🥰 👊🏾
