So what snapchat does is it separates the images from the text, so when you have one image with text it splits it into two images, one with just the image, and a black image with just the text. Not sure why they do it this way. Also, it depends on how long the account has been banned for, contact info is in the description if you’d like to talk more about it :)

Hi, my daughter was permanently banned by Snapchat 10 days ago because some juvenile delinquents took her phone and posted a banned advert. Anyway, the permanent ban is bad, but what is much worse is the loss of 5 years of memories (teenagers do not back up), including pictures of dead relatives. Unfortunately data is deleted after 30 days but every once in a while an account will slip through the deletion process. You can at least attempt it but you will most likely get an error.

Unfortunately this is a random error with Snapchat, once you get it there’s pretty much nothing that can be done.

Wait a few days and try it again, do this a few times. Unfortunately if it still says that then there’s nothing that can be done. It’s a random Snapchat error that they don’t care enough to fix. Snapchat is a great app with a terrible company behind it.

Sometimes, it's a 50/50 with Snapchat. Sometimes it will work and sometimes it won't. The best thing you can do is try anyways.

Depending on what OS you’re using sometimes it will come up as malware because it’s an unidentified app developer, if you’re trying to open the recovery app on a mac then right click on the app, then hit open, then hit open again.

Unfortunately no, there’s no way to get the account back. Only the data inside the account is recoverable.

i accidently only downloaded the same data 2 times and it was only memories from a month ago. i was trying to download all my memories in total. now when i try to download my memories it wont let me go past the second step which is the "Choose date range, confirm email address" step. it only gives me a option to go back and not the button to "submit request". do i have to wait until my first 2 downloads expire to do another download, is there a limit of downloads you can do at a time because its not letting me "submit request"???? Hey can you help me out please? I requested for my data but unfortunately had the export range on. I requested 3 times that way and it came in 3 parts. The first one with all my data and part of my memories and the other were just chat media and some memories. @mcmuffin8969 I’m assuming you’re using Windows, if so that would be why. It’s so stupid but you need the HEVC player, just pay the 99 cents it’s worth it. I’ve had it for years. Stupid they make us pay to play a video shot on iPhone though. macOS and Linux shouldn’t have this issue though, if it helps. Alternatively, if you really don’t want to spend the money download VLC media player and use that instead.

The disabled errors are tricky, it’s a 50/50 chance if it will let you in or not. Try waiting 24-48 hours then attempt to log in again.

Login with a device that you’ve used with that Snapchat account on a WiFi network that you commonly used Snapchat on before, make sure to disable any vpn networks. If you’ve already done this then it’s a random Snapchat error that they refuse to fix, there’s really nothing that can be done at that point :(

My guess is that you tried to log back in after 30 days. Once you deactivate an account you only have 30 days to reactivate before it’s deleted.

Sometimes this happens, it’s an error on snapchats end and they REFUSE to do anything about it, I’ve been fighting them on it for months. Sadly when that happens, there’s really nothing you can do :(
What if the Password got changed by the hacker, and I do not know the password.
That’s very rare for the password to be changed by a hacker, snapchat accounts are almost never hacked because there’s usually nothing valuable in it for a hacker. Most likely it would have been an AI system or a program. In this case, you would have to reset the password. If that doesn’t work then unfortunately there would be nothing else to do since the account is already banned, usually they don’t do anything for banned accounts.
The account is secured by Snapchat which means no one can log in or use it unless I contact them with the right email, but I never signed up for my snap account with email.

Ah, sorry to hear about that! Sometimes their system doesn’t get it right and mistakes things for being illegal when it’s not. If you believe that you did absolutely nothing wrong or against their TOS then you can submit an appeal although I’ve only ever seen that work once, or if you want to recover the memories you can do it on your own or use the service that I offer for it. Account must have been banned less then 30 days ago for any of the options noted in this reply.

When I go in the JSON folder I can’t find a memories_history.json file.. did I miss a step? There’s a folder called memories on its own but not within the JSON folder

Ah okay, the reason it’s doing that is because the data was deleted 30 days after the account was banned. When you hit download it’s not doing anything because there’s nothing in the account.

Snapchat support is a hit or miss, they don’t end up responding 90% of the time. Recently a couple people haven’t been able to use this method, mostly everyone has but some are unfortunately out of luck :(
Also, this may only work if your account was banned less then 30 days ago.
is there anyway of transfering the downloaded to a brand new snap account?
Yes but none of it would be in order. In the new account, go to settings, then Memories, then Import snaps from camera roll.
hey i dowloaded my data but for some reason from my window pc i do not have the file Memories_history why is that
Sometimes it can be hard to find because all of the files look the same, go into the folder then use the search bar in windows explore to find it, make sure your in the JSON folder.

That’s strange, my macs have never given me trouble with it. I did a little bit of research on it and found this, let me know if it works or not.
Go to System Preferences ➙ Security & Privacy ➙ General
Click the lock in the lower right corner of the window
Enter your username and password, when prompted, and click Unlock
Click the App Store and Identified Developers radial button
Look for “(App Name) was blocked from opening because it’s not from an identified developer” and click Open Anyway
So my snapchat was banned a year ago... which is before this video existed 😅. Is there any possibility you could get them back? I would legitimately pay you extra. I have years of memories bc i was only saving them on snapchat instead of my gallery. 😢🙏
Sadly, after 30 days the account is deleted from the database :(
